Uncle Junior had a major role in Godfather 2 as Johnny Ola. Way before the Sopranos.
Paulie Walnuts was in "Goodfellas" and supposedly he had an uncredited part in "The Godfather part 2".
Uncle Junior was also in "Dog Day Afternoon", as Pacino's father.
I've broken my eyes trying to find out where's Sirico role in GF2, and haven't found anyone like him.

I Just started binge watching it again,, The Sopranos blows away anything on Tv, Streaming Tv, Cable and the Movies. It will never have an expiration date, and I doubt anything as good will ever come about again.

Most of these actors portrayed their character so well that it's virtually impossible for them not to be forever type casted. This, then mash, then everything else. James was amazing, superb, brilliant. And rumour has it, the definition of a truly kind person.

Lillyhammer was SO good, I'm still mad that they cancelled it. That show meant a lot to me. I was really depressed around the time it came out and I started binge watching it, got really into it.

I grew up in Staten Island in a 2 generation Italian household and it’s crazy how much I can relate to the lingo of the characters
I was living on a budget when living in Shreveport, LA about 20 years ago when I got accidentally introduced to "The Sopranos". When they hooked my cable up, they accidentally included HBO, which I was never charged for. So, I was enjoying the channel when all of a sudden, "The Sopranos" intro came on. I had no idea what is was. I began to watch it (along with "Six Feet Under" at a different time) and was instantly hooked. Now I enjoy watching clips from the show here on CZcams.
Im late to this show just started couple weeks and finished it today... I loved it, specially Tonys character, never knew Gandolfini befor the serious, but i was amazed by his acting performance and wondered why i he doesn't appear in nowday movies... Now i know why R.I.P ..
James was a fantastic actor I was hooked on the soprano's because of his character.
James Gandolfini was one of the greatest actors who ever lived. There are not many actors alive today that come close to his acting range.
Uncle Junior was great. When he was on trial and stared at the jury through those glasses he looked like a real mobster. Older but still deadly. Great actor.

Michael Imperioli was absolutely terrific in his role as Christopher. I’m really shocked he didn’t go on to bigger and better things. A big mistake by Hollywood, imo.

Shit watched Boardwalk never noticed Junior, guess he did his job well. Somehow I think we all lost out on some future classics after James died. Still haven't watched this show from start to finish, I will and it will be like it is brand new for me.
