The mamahs were in for a treat when they tried some of Colombia's tastiest dishes! They had arepas con queso, which are a staple in Colombian cuisine! Another staple, and the country's national dish, was the bandeja paisa! A few other dishes included ceviche, brevas con arequipe y queso, aguapanela, patacon con pollo, ajiaco and empanadas de pollo!

all of them looked tasty
I am a big fan of the Colombian culture. As a Mexican we love your culture. The food, the people, the music and what a beautiful country you have . I’ve had the pleasure of visiting
That is definitely not ajiaco, but everything else was great. Loved their reactions
I am Colombian so I am officially so happy today.
☺️🇨🇴
This is so real lol
Same since am Colombian to
Samee
same!!!
As a Colombian, this is the video that I didn’t know I needed!! Thank you 🇨🇴
What's the BEST Colombian dish in your opinion?
As a Colombian I agree
Bandeja paisa @mamahchannel
@@MamahChannelBandeja paisa but the full presentation, all together in a big black bowl
@@MamahChannelI personally love sancocho especially on colder days! Empanadas with a large variety of sauces are also pretty good!
Yes! Ajiaco has a lot of potatoes 'cause it's a traditional dish from the colombian Andes mountains (the central part of the country) where is really cold all the time. In this area (mainly in what we call the "altiplano cundiboyacense"), potatoes are grown since they're originally from Perú and spreaded through the Andes (which crosses all of South America, from Colombia to Argentina) . Ajiaco is meant to provide people from this region of Colombia with a warm and filling meal, that gives a lot of energy due to the carbs from the potatoes. It is delicious and a very heartwarming soup. My favorite food in the whole world 🤤💖
That's exactly the reason I was wondering if the Ajiaco was properly made since some of the potatoes used might not grow everywhere.
@@prysma2057Clearly, it was not properly made! It was too fluid and looked disgusting 🤦🏻♀️🫣 Real ajiaco is thick, full and rich! Nothing like the one they were given to eat 🤷🏻♀️
Me encantaría probarlo ❤
I am from Central America and I love Colombian food. I like their approach to chicharrones. Their empanadas are also delicious. I can’t believe you guys didn’t have the Mexican moms try the sancocho de res. Mexicans appreciate a good caldo and the Colombians have one of the best ones in all of Latin America. I think they would’ve loved it.
Bendiciones. 😃
As a Colombian living in the birthplace of the Bandeja (NOT the national dish, but Antioquia's dish), that must've been the saddest Bandeja Paisa I have ever seen, especially the beans. They should be creamy, and served on the side of the same platter as the rest (hence bandeja, meaning platter or tray), so you can easily mix it with the rice and ground beef, otherwise the beef is too dry on its own.
Totalmente de acuerdo. Sad sad sad
Worst bandeja Paisa I've ever seen and the ajiaco? They didn't even give them the crema!
Ground beef? Not steak?😮
@@jeanettedania5240 It's ground beef, but the preparation is a bit different. We tend to use more fibrous cuts that are also good for stuff like stews for it, It gets boiled first, left to cool off and dry, and then ground up, usually with some onion, green onion, garlic... It's pretty different from how most other places do ground beef, I think, and can be pretty dry unless mixed with stuff. It's delicious, though, especially mixed in with potatoes or rice.
Lol I'm guessing they are sourcing this food from a Colombian restaurant on the west coast but there are not big Colombian communities out there. That would explain why some of the dishes aren't up to snuff.
When I was a little girl (In Canada), both of my parents worked, so my sister and I went to a babysitter after school. At one time, a Colombian lady was our babysitter, and she used to make the most delicious food. Whenever I hear plantain, I think of her and can remember the flavour.
RIP Mina
Colombian*
That's a lovely memory ❤
thats really sweet, but pls, it's colombian 😁
My half Mexican half Colombian heart is so happy now ♥
❤
Half colombiano, half cubano is happy too! ❤❤
Half Colombian and half Mexican is like the most perfect race ever. You are the pinnacle of humanity. I am jealous my friend!❤
🇨🇴❤️🇲🇽
As half Mexican, half Colombian, I agree!!!!
I was born in Colombia but Mexicans in the states have adopted me like one of their own .I love seeing this . Lulu is the best. love the chola aunty ❤ 😎
The mom with neck tats , I love her! 😭put her on more episodes!
Lulu
She reminds me of my aunts! Love her ❤
She is my fave !! 😂
@@MrsTae I love that she can switch from high speed Spanish to American English street talk ("Dayumn...shook") at the drop of a hat.
She’s my fav I luvvv her🤪🤪🤪
The girl that says "foo" cracks me up!😂 she's definitely my favorite lol we need more of her!
VIVA COLOMBIA. Love that they loved it 💛💙❤️
They should've served the bandeja paisa in a large plate, the "bandeja" one, "tray", the ajiaco is not a caldo, is a thick soup and it needed the alcaparras and the sour cream, and they should've been instructed in how to eat the dessert, but I think the figs needed the melao on them.
Loved the video anyway, really good and made me feel proud, thanks and congratulations!!!
The older woman in the blue shirt strikes me as a mexican, the other two strikes me as americans
I love that Lulu can switch from high speed Spanish to American English street talk ("Dayumn...shook") at the drop of a hat.
Been requesting this for so long! Bandeja paisa is our national dish for a reason! 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Thanks for watching ❤️
@@MamahChannel always
Wow, not only does Colombia have very attractive women and rich culture, but its food seems very appetizing. I grew mainly in a Mexican household but did live for a couple of years as an infant in a Colombian home. All I could remember was the delicious empanadas and mojarras.
Were you a foster child perhaps?
Mojarra frita con patacón (tostones)
Lulu reminds me of some of my family. Bring her back more ❤❤❤
I love getting these food reviews so I know what recipes to try at home. The women are so great at describing these different foods. Everybody gets an A+
YAY! COLOMBIAN HERE!LOVE MAMAHS AND THE CHANNEL! THANKS! 🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴
as a Colombian, i was ITCHING to run to the kitchen and prepare most of those the right way, with colombian ingredients so they could have an actual taste of the dishes, but I really appreciate the fact that they loved most of them and found similarities to their own dishes at home. Latin America will always love Latin America 🇲🇽🤝🇨🇴
Omg same 😭
Omg Colombian food is amazing, the pechuga empanizada, the bandeja paisa and their soups and bakery. Amazing.
All this food made my mouth water it brought back memories of growing up in Queens and going to the Colombian restaurant 🤤🤤🤤 except for the arepas everything is delicious
Man. This video is great. It loops me back to my childhood. And teenage years. I always miss when my parents were young. They were more full of life 😢 They loved colombian food so I tried it also.
Im mexican but LOVE colombian food. Its like our tortillas.
Mrs. Shook had me crackin up! She's a vibe!
Loved this! Can’t wait to see them try Puerto Rican dishes and not just snacks ❤️
They are not ready for our popping flavors 😂🥘🍛🇵🇷
Lol I just love LuLu I have watched many of your videos and she is my favorite. Bring on more LuLu 😊
Hermanas Mexicanas we ❤ you! 🇨🇴
These ladies are lovely. I was glad to get to know these newer mamahs better.
🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴 ¡Viva mi Colombia!
I'm really happy they enjoyed it!! ❤
The only one I disagree with is el ajiaco. It didn't look like one, at least the one where it's from: Bogotá. It's more yellowish because of the arracacha and ahuyama and it is DELICIOUS 😋 It's my favorite soup!!
I love watching these videos and this video made me so happy since I am Colombian ❤
i love these Mexicans moms!
i just want to say thanks for making these videos for us you guys had helped me through a lot of things i’m a young woman myself and you guys are my favorite channel.
I’m Colombian and I want to hug the lady in the blue shirt. I am thankful of how graceful she was
Just to clarify, the bandeja paisa is not the National Dish, is just a dish of the Antioquía region, every region have their own dish
OMG!!!... Mamah's... ❤... Thank you for your comments and for trying our food... It is beautiful to know that our Gastronomy is delicious worldwide, Thank you for everything... as always proud of my Land of Dear Colombia; for its flora, fauna, the gift of its people and its gastronomy of course!!! 🤗😋... 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
2:56 I never thought of it she's so right. everything on the plate taste unique! :)
Yay food from Colombia 🇨🇴 😊but sancocho de cola de res it’s the best soup 🍲 from Colombia spectacular 👌 I don’t like ajiaco 😵💫😅 I love empanadas chorizo you have to combine the frijoles 🫘 always with white rice ❤best combination keep making this kind of videos 👏🏻 next country Peru then Ecuador, Spain,
turkey 🇹🇷 🤤😍👌 Brazilian food delicious 🤤
loved this ep!!!!
Aguapanela con limón ES LA VAINA MÁS DELICIOSA QUE EXISTE EN EL MUNDO. Guandolo le decimos en donde vivo. Siempre que puedo como todo con guandolo ✨
There's a colombian restaurant near me in Connecticut, and my favorite dish is their Fanesca, unfortunately they only make it for the month of April, but when they do it's a very popular dish in the area.
I was in Colombia a week ago and I love the Bandeja Paisa. 😋
Its been years since i remembered the arroz rojo con frijoles... and my grandma used to made it like that when i was a kid... just had a memory unlocked and that deserves a lika and suscribe
made my day i love this
GREAT VIDEO! by the way there is a variation to the Ajiaco, which is more a potaje de papas than a caldo, it depends on the country's region, and it's made by combining various types of mashed potatoes like papa criolla, papa pastusa, etc. apart from the diced/whole ones. definitely my favorite. VIVA COLOMBIA "#%@.
You release this over Xmas and didn't serve Natilla? Oh my god Natilla is life.
Also, Bocadillo con queso is delightful, the hard almost crisp jelly with the cheese - really good, really good.
Can you guys do cuban food next!! 😁

Yes Yummm !

The mamahs liked them! Specifically the aji 😋
I love the mom with the blue shirt!!!! I'd love her to come to colombia someday!!!!
I love Columbian food. Lowkey should have done a different arrepa flavor tho. The pabellon one goes crazy
My thoughts exactly.
Pabellón its no colombian, its Venezuelan (i'm colombian)
@@lerialopez2698 truuuue, i forgot
ColOmbian food
Pabellón is 100% Colombian, they’re lying always trying to stole stuff.. hehe love my Venezuelan brothers
Thank u for eating our dishes, I'm very proud of my people.
“More subscribers than Rachel Ray” 🤣
I am Colombian and I’m pretty happy for see this video 🇨🇴
1:37 'Bandeja paisa' is not Colombia's national dish. It's a typical dish in a region called Antioquia.
Such kind words❤️
I love Colombian food it’s awesome
I’m happy because I’m Colombian and they tried the food its good Colombia 🇨🇴 🔛🔝
YESSSS ! COLOMBIANN HEREEE! LOVE YALL ❤️❤️🇨🇴🇨🇴

I like the soup with the whole or big chunks of veggies. I'm going to try making a soup like that sometime when I feel too tired /lazy to cut up the veggies!!! 😁

I really love the mom with the tats lol I wanna be her friend
Yessss colombiaaa mi genteeee latino, This video is Brilliant
Mexican Moms try Guatamalian Food!
Usually arepas here dont look as thick, we enjoy more a thinner very toasted and warm one with butter and cheese.
Colombian food is so good, arepas are my favvvv❤❤❤❤
WE NEED THEM TO TRY DOMINICAN FOOD NEXTTT
Thanks for your respect to my Colombian food
I'd love to see you do Nicaraguan food! But better yet (I've left a similar comment on another video) you should do a tamales episode, featuring tamales from other countries, especially since it's Christmastime which is common for many Latin American countries.
I love Arepass i first tasted it when a Colombian friend of ours visited the Philippines ❤❤❤
I've tried both, and Colombia 🇨🇴 food is way more healthy and lot more variety.
