    Hell yeah!! My local shop is trying to charge me 947 dollars for a tune up and to change my mass air flow sensor. I just changed the sensor myself for 22 bucks and now I’m gonna buy plugs and coils for 100’bucks. Thanks CZcams

      I’m at 100,000. Any advice for how you kept yours running for so long? I’ve been changing the oil religiously and changing the transmission fluid every 40,000 miles.

    Hi ..you might wanna mention that "regular 5/8 spark plugs socket" won't fit in the cilinder and you need to get a skinnier one to fit all the way to the bottom

    I appreciate your instructional video. I removed the coils and 2 of 4 were filled with motor oil! The engine was badly overheated recently. What do you think we are seeing?

      I had the same issue my coworker said the seal was broken it might be the engin cover like the top part of it you’ll have to replace it with a new one the part is cheap it’s just the labor honestly unless you’re able to do it yourself

    Thank you! Very informative. However you suggest that the coils themselves are numbered, rather than just the coil wires... is that accurate? I don't seem to see any numbering on my replacement coils. Thanks again! *ANYONE on coils themselves needing to be in a certain order?

      UPDATE: I put in new plugs and coils on a 2007 Altima Hybrid- it does NOT matter which order the coils go in- only that the coil wires stay in proper order. I mixed my coils around as an experiment and they work fine any order you put them. Cheers and thanks again for the video!

      The only reason the order matters, is if you have stored misfire codes. This will help isolate which coil is bad.

    I had a hard time getting mine out even with correct spark plug with swivel extension after I got them out threads and everything was fine but I put antisize on new plugs

    How often should I change my OEM spark plugs on a 2009 Altima 2.5? at 100K miles? or earlier? They were changed at 117K and now I am at 179K. The Nissan dealership did the work. So I assume they are Iridium, but not sure. I bought the car used.

    No offense intended bro but, this is the second video I've seen and no one is telling the people to check the gap on the spark plug because, 75% of new spark plugs are not gapped correctly. Good video though! Kudos.

    Good video. Kinda suprised you didn't use any anti-seize on the spark plug threads before installing though. Especially since you did use dielectric grease for the seal and boot tip. Also, the spark plugs are smaller than your average plug at 14mm which should have been mentioned as well.

      Harbor freight sells the perfect one for 22 dollars. It’s the 3/8 click type torque wrench. Worked perfect for torquing the spark plugs to 14ft lbs. To make the job easier get a wrench extension and a deep socket magnetic socket. The correct size is 9/16 or 14mm.

      Are you talking about the orange wrench with the lights? If so, it is a torque wrench that lets you know when to stop tightening. Hope that is what you were asking about.

      It is a torque wrench. That is a fancy electronic one. You can also get a regular one that just clicks when you've applied the right amount of torque.

      One thing should be mentioned be careful jetting air down the tube as not to damage the spark plug tool seals on the valve cover they are very fragile

    great video and easy to follow until the end... how exactly did you get the plugs out? I was able to unscrew them using some tools. but they don't come out how they did in the video. I don't have anything that go in and grab them so i can pull them out.

    The socket doesn't hold to the spark plug as if it was too big or as if it was too short to reach it.
    It's a 16mm.

      You cant just put in any spark plug or ignition coil you fancy. They need to be suited for the engine of the particular car.

    $947 for a 4 cylinder what a rip 2 labor hours tops plus parts the mass sensor on top of air filter box $140 2 hrs labor $280 part 4 plugs $40 sensor $$100 = $240 plus 10% tax = $264 imagine if you lack the knowledge to do the work or even whether you’re being ripped I dislike unscrupulous repair shops if you treat people fair you’ll loyal customers will be free advertising word of mouth of incredible in a business that is fair & honest when I don’t do my own repairs I use shop like described 1 I can send my to without having to worry About her getting ripped off the shop is closed on Saturday & Sunday holidays that show me they care about their employees so they may spend quality time with their families they make enough money during week are not greedy cause they have plenty of business during the week are not driven by greed
