    The explanation in this video is so simple and straight forward, and without the life stories and so forth. I feel I can do the job myself now

    Great Video. Had to do this job today in the parking lot of the automotive store. Feel bad I couldn't order new coils from 1A Auto but confirming I did the job correct is helpful. Love all the videos you put out. Has helped keep my car running and cost low.

    So my husband changed valve cover recently and now my 08 altima is throwing a po300 code and missing like a mad man sou do like a subi to me lol any way how do I go about figuring which cylinders are the misfiring from and how do u test coil packs to see if they get spark? Buy the looks of my very expensive plugs number 3 might be one of the multiple but can't tell difference between any others. I'm at a loss I'm a very automated savi chick and I do all my own work but hubby got to this project before me and now I'm in need of guidence.

    Why put dialectic grease where the spark plug tip will be going into the Ignition coil? It's not conductive, won't it hurt the transfer of electricity?

    you didn't replace anything. You just took them out and put them back in. Does the order mean anything if they're brand new?

    • @brandenapexo604
      @brandenapexo604 Před 4 lety +5

      If they aren’t numbered or marked by any sequence of part numbers then it shouldn’t matter if they’re brand new

    When do you recommend replacing the spark plugs and coils?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  Před 4 lety +1

      +Kevin Ryan You should replace your spark plugs in between 20,000-40,000 miles.

    When the coils are bad, what does the engine do?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  Před 3 lety

      +Agustin Chavez Thanks for checking us out! This could be anything from decreased fuel economy, a check engine light, stalling, and even not having the car start. This is definitely something you will want to fix as soon as you can. 1aauto.com

      I had an ignition coil go bad while I was driving my 2010 Altima a few days ago and it caused my engine to misfire. It felt like the engine was wobbling and the car had trouble accelerating, but it worked just well with to drive down a side road and call a tow truck. The dealership told me it was probably due to age (over 130,000 miles) and that the others would probably go bad soon. I had them replace the bad one, but I'll probably replace the others myself.

      @@AJ-on-youtube this is EXACTLY what my car did. I could drive it 10mph to her home. When I start it the engine is shaking like crazy lol. It’s been sitting cuz I thought it was the transmission or something major as the shaking and it won’t drive over 15 mph. but I just found it’s probably easy fix. How did you find what cool to replace ?
