- Siri vs Alexa vs Google vs Cortana : news question challenge. TechNewOld - AI Arena #2. Continuing to question our AIs about topical news subjects, this time its BREXIT: how did they do?
AIs on BREXIT
In these videos, I plan to compare Siri, Alexa, Google and Cortana at everyday tasks.
I have no favoritism, I just want to see how AI evolves over time and which is currently better at any particular task at any given time: one thing is for sure, this is the future. I appreciate that AI systems will be changing all the time . These tests in 12 months may yield very different results.
This video task is :
- news question challenge BREXIT
Not just read the news, but rather be able to give specific information on a given subject.
Result :
- 1st Cortana , as was able to read specific headlines on Brexit (similar to the video on Renault news). However, Cortana was not quite as good as Alexa and Google in explaining what Brexit was. The result none the less stands. Well done Cortana !
- Siri was not great in this test. Alexa failed on giving Brexit news, but came top on explaining / defining Brexit. Google could not find Brexit news, and was second best on clear definition of the term.
- Results order : 1.Microsoft's CORTANA; joint 2nd Amazon's ALEXA and Google; 3rd (would call it 4th) is Apple's SIRI.
Please give suggestions to try out and if interesting results I will post the video.

@@TechNewOld She was always the assistant with most natural and human-like way of speech. I like that she is savage too, when compared to the modest google assistant or boring alexa. Siri is not even in the competition.
@@curionion What’s with Siri ... I think I will have to start having a phone with Siri, as the AI works with individual accounts
@@TechNewOld Siri in the past didn’t sell me because of her ‘intelligence’ and it feels like her tone was a bit rude?? Lol. Though I use iPhone and iPad but I don’t use Apple Music so no HomePod for me. I mostly use smart speaker for music so the sound must come first. HomePod sound didn’t convince me enough so I’m into Spotify with a variety of other connected speakers. Sound first, and being smart is a nice addition. For now I’m using Sonos w/ google assistant
@@curionion oh in the early videos I used the original homepod : the sound is so superior to everything. The build quality (so heavy) amazing. But like you I have up a long time ago on Apple Music (they messed up my digital library so many times). Shame really as the sound was fabulous. The HomePod mini is still probably the best out of the mini speaker segment. Obviously Sonos is premium.
