    good job so far Chris, ive been watching your progress and thankyou for taking the time to do these videos. I would very much like to build one of these myself, but being in remote old australia im not sure about the economics of shipping all those the boxes of parts all way here! Can i ask, do you order and pay per box or is it all up front and who supplies it all? Thanks again, looking forward to more progress! -Glen.

      +Darkcustom xxx thanks for watching Glen! I pay per box, the kits are supplied by Steam Traction World in the UK. You might want to check out their forum, I know there are at least a couple of guys building engines in your neck of the woods. I believe they save the kits up at the factory so they can ship a load over in one go via sea freight and hence save on shipping. Chris

      God don't tempt me!! Yeah I'd say that would be a solution, but an even better one would be to group ship in a container... If one could get enough people to join in.
      Waiting to collect it all then ship it in one job lot would be painfully long. I guess I'll have to just keep buying lottery tickets...

    What is the gasket sealant and thread sealant you use?

    • @chriscrockerwhite
      @chriscrockerwhite  Před 7 lety

      Hi John, the thread sealant is Loctite 567 and the gasket stuff is Rocol Steamseal for the cylinder block, but I also use the Hylomar Blue in some other places. hope this helps.

    are the holes for the studs all the way throw

    • @chriscrockerwhite
      @chriscrockerwhite  Před 8 lety

      Hi Riku, yes they are. I used thread sealant on the studs but I reckon in reality the cylinder sealant would have sealed it well enough. Thanks for your comment, cheers, Chris
