Adrien and Felix: Twin Sentimonsters

  • A few months ago, I posted a video about Adrien being a Sentimonster. While this theory gained a lot of traction and fandom support, there was still a lot that went unexplained and unaccounted for. However, with Miraculous Ladybug Season 4, we now have more evidence that points to not only Adrien being a Sentimonster, but his cousin Felix being one as well.
    Join me as I shed the truth on the Agreste and Graham de Vanily households, and how family tragedy was miraculously turned around, only for it to come back tenfold.

      The exact same thing that happened in Chat Blanc.
      It was a character created by the fandom literally after reading the premise of the entire show, making fan video about it left and right, like there’s no tomorrow.
      But the creator found the idea interesting and cashing, so they made the episode while banning all the fan videos for copyright infringement, claiming that “they had the Chat Blanc idea way before them” (they really haven’t).

      @@veronicapiccinini7956 the idea of Chat Blanc came up pretty much in the very beginning of the series so not only the time span is much bigger but in the end that episode didn't affect the main plot. You can't say the same thing happened with the SentiAdrien theory.

    Since plagg is one of the first kwamii and one of the strongest, that could very well overpower the magic of the peacock, especially since it was damaged during Adriens creation.

    I believe both Adrien and Felix are Sentimomsters from one Amok feather. Let me explain why.
    1. First of all we have proof that one Akuma can akumatize more than one person as long as all victims are holding into the object when the Akuma enters it. We've seen it happening to Marinette's girlfriends when Hawkmoth akumatized all 5 of them while they were holding into a bracelet they made.
    2. We also know that if an Akuma enters an object and the object breaks at the same time, the Akuma will stay on both pieces and effect who ever is holding them as we've seen it happening on Luca's and Juleka's parents when they broke the record disc and the Akuma was still able to akumatize them both on Crocoduel
    If those things can happen with the Akuma it should be able to happen with an Amok as well. If the rings are both made at the same metal it is safe to assume that Emily used the peacock to fuse an Amok feather to the rings when they were as one and then separated.
    I think what happend was, Emily placed the Amok inside a metal bar and they cut the bar into two pieces at the same time as the Amok was entering it, allowing both Emily and Gabriel to both have one sentimonster each. Emily created Adrien and Gabriel created Felix. That would explain in why Adrien takes so much after his mother while Felix shares the same character as Gabriel. Then they melted the two pieces of iron bars to create the rings. And since both rings are from the same Amok feather one ring could control both Adrien and Felix but perhaps only one at a time and they would need to have both rings to control them both at the same time.
    Now the reason I believe Felix and Adrien are from the same Amok feather, is because on part one of the season finale, when Felix pretended to be Adrien to tell Gabriel that he didn't want to leave Paris, Gabriel noticed how he could not control him without the ring because Natalie had it. But when Natalie told Felix they need to leave, Felix suddenly agreed with her and followed her without a second thought. That proves that the same ring that controls Adrien can also control Felix and the other ring that belongs to Gabriel can do the same.

The fact that he does everything to save his wife a save his family but lost himself in the process and became a villain and bitter father is interesting. I some episode he really regrets his strict education of his son or cares about him when he was in danger: like a loving father. But now he is just a villain to be a villain and just do things so we have to hate him.

We learned about her Motiv, her family situation (her mother), why she is like that and frankly some times her friendship whit Sabrina is sweet. The theory has been confirmed folks. Gabriel and emilie used the peacock to create adrien because she couldn’t get pregnant, and Felix’s dad was also desperate for an heir, so he borrowed the peacock to create felix with Amelie. Felix was created out of anger and hatred, while adrien was created out of love. That is probably why their personalities are so different.
    Also as to why they look so similar, they only have their mothers genes, none from their fathers, so of course they will look like twins just as their mothers since they only have their mothers genetics.
    Felix’s dad abused Felix using the ring with his amok, Felix realised he was a sentimonster when the ring became damaged and physically pained Felix. When Felix’s dad succumbed to the illness caused by the damaged miraculous, Felix finally took claim of the ring that controls him. reasons i like this theory (not exactly reasons i believe it, just reasons i think it’s a good twist in the story):
    1. has the potential to be rlly powerful for adrien’s character arc. whenever he finds a way to free himself, whether by getting ahold of his own amok, or even finding out how to destroy his connection to it, it’ll be so meaningful as a symbol of overcoming abuse and finding freedom.
    2. whenever mari/ladybug finds out abt all this, hopefully we’ll get to see her go fierce protector mode to defend adrien/chat and encourage him that he’s still an amazing and valid person (please??? this would be so cute???)
    3. also since mari, who holds the miraculous of creation, is known for her bravery, agency, and creativity-traits adrien as a senti never had a chance to have growing up-it gives more reason to root for mari and adrien’s relationship. she can help him bring out his humanity, heal and grow into himself. if that makes sense lol
    4. like she said in the video, it’s such a good metaphor for abuse. since the show is for kids it can’t super easily have the characters talk blatantly about abuse, but it CAN talk about sentimonsters. this lets them deal with a heavy topic in a kid-friendly way.
    5. it honestly just…makes the show more interesting/dark/sorta angsty?? which ngl i’m totally here for. imagine the dramatic scenes we’re in for if this is true… tell me i’m not the only one who gets weirdly excited about this? 😂

      This is the first support of the sentimonster theory that I don't hate. It's really bothered me that they'd take a kid who's already suffering and add being a 'monster' to his plate, but you may be right that it could be an age-appropriate teachable moment about abuse. I've been stuck on Adrien spiraling out of control when he finds out, but maybe I'm thinking about it with too much adult baggage (imagining the trauma it will expose). Mari will certainly be his advocate if this happens, which will be sweet. My instinct is to say, but that's not enough. But maybe for a kids show, it will be.

    The fandom would be very disappointed if Adrien ended up being a sentimonster. My theory is that Emily made Felix (a sentimonster) out of Adrien. This would explain why the twins are so alike and somehow bonded to the same curse. Notice how the sentimonsters always resembles someone else.

  • @ZadeThessin
    @ZadeThessin Před 2 lety +13

    You present a very compelling argument. I can certainly see how this theory might be true - and I hate it. Please don't take that as an attack on you. Your video is very well done and you've presented the theory very well; but you asked us what we thought of the theory, and what I think is that I hate it. Adrian has been abused and lived his life desperately trying to be good enough and never feeling like he is, even though he's helped so many people. It's heart breaking and he deserves a happy ending by the end of this show. And I don't care how they decide to spin it, finding out you are not a real person but instead a doll given life who can be controlled or even snapped out of existence is a horrifying revelation. I really hope they don't do this to Adrian. He deserves better, and the longer the show runs the worse the show treats him; and I hate that too. 😔 You did present the idea very well though, so even though I don't like the theory, I do think you did a good job with your video.

    • @Luke-fu5co
      @Luke-fu5co Před 2 lety +3

      Hes not a doll, the whole episode with the Senti-Ladybug was to show that people created using the peacock miraculous are still just regular living creatures, they just so happen to have been born from magic.
      Regular people can be controlled or snapped out of existence, you just need to do it in non-magical ways like blackmail and guns, but this theory being true is a chance to give Adrien the growth he deserves, he'll struggle with the idea of himself not being a real person (which isnt true, it doesn't matter how anyone is born in real life, lgbt, black, asian, it just so happens in this show that being born from magic is just another thing on that list) but the Senti-Ladybug episode proved sentimonsters are real people so he will eventually realise that himself and finally get some character development, which will allow him to be his true self more and even further the romance plots because he's morw comfortable with himself as a person

    • @ZadeThessin
      @ZadeThessin Před 2 lety +1

      @@Luke-fu5co Black-mail doesn't hijack your will. Guns are not as instant or fool proof as being snapped out of existence and carry with it a much higher legal consequence. I maintain that it would be horrifying to discover your existence is so ephemeral. Being born various ethnicities or orientations is not the same as being crafted and controllable by someone else. Senti-monsters have much more in common with AI. Are AIs real people? I suppose the show does make the argument that they are. Personally I didn't feel anything towards sentibug, she was a copy, just like sentinino and sentigabriel, and none of them felt like real people to me. Even when sentibug was given free will she still acted the way ladybug would have acted, reinforcing her status as a copy, not a unique individual. Though I'll allow that the show might be able to make them feel like people given the time to do so since they have made characters like Marcov and Aeon endearing. So fine, AI robot instead of doll. It still would be a kick in the gut to find out you're a robot if you didn't know it from the start. Now I can accept that something like that can be an interesting thing to watch a character work through, sure, but it's not the only way to give Adrian character development. Watching a character break out from under the thumb of an abusive parent and learn to find confidence in themselves and forge their own path can be a very compelling narative, just look at Avatar's Zuko. Personally, I prefer that angle, but I understand that others might prefer the creation breaking free from their creator option. However I don't think the sentimonster option is a good one for the romance plot. At least not the love square plot. The end goal is to defeat shadowmoth and have the guardian, Marinette, take the peacock and butterfly miraculouses back. That means she would hold the power to control Adrien or snap him out of existence. Even if she would never do so, she would still hold that power, and that's a very uncomfortable dynamic in my opinion. Not the sort of dynamic I would personally like to see in a happily every after. And, as I said, what I don't like about this theory is that it's not the sort of ending I was hoping for for Adrian. Is it a path the show might take? Yes. Interesting? Perhaps, depending on how they handled it. But a satisfying conclusion to Adrian's story? Not in my opinion. You are welcome to yours, but I find this theory depressing.

    • @kurisuchiinu1206
      @kurisuchiinu1206 Před 2 lety

      @Zade you described how Adrien is. He's like Pinocchio, given life as a doll but not a real boy... similar to a human being just different of where he came from. Imagine the revelation if Marinette/Ladybug finds this out...she'd be furious and sad. She'd probably accept him nonetheless, but I think he deserved a better life. Imagine him living infinitely while watching everyone he cares for die; or him disappearing all of a sudden because his Father died or the Miraculous is totally broken.

One thing I have been debating is whether or not Emilie and Gabriel would have made Adrien from when he was a baby or if Adrien was a real and died, but they used the peacock miraculous to "revive" him.

    According to the episode "Gabriel Agreste" the ring that Felix stole was Emilie's. Meaning if the ring Gabriel currently wears is an amok that he either switched them out before Felix's last visit just in case the latter somehow managed to get his hands on it or that Gabriel decided to leave the amok there for safe keeping. I doubt either is true given how arrogant Gabriel is and that he would keep it on his person to use against his son.

    I would point out that the key difference between "Chat Blanc" and "Ephemeral", is in Ephemeral, Adrien is shown his mother by Gabriel after Gabriel suspects he's Chat Noir (without Ladybug being present). It's offscreen, but I think Gabriel explained to Adrien why exactly he wanted both the miraculous of the Ladybug and the Cat. I would argue, if the Sentimonster theory isn't actually correct, that the reason Adrien puts up no fight whatsoever in Ephemeral is because he wants his mother back. (I mean that might even be the case if the theory IS correct, but eh.)

    My theory regarding the sentimonster thing is if ONLY ONE of the boys are a sentimonster. That would explain why they look alike- one kid was born then the other created looking like them.
    Personally I think it would be interesting if Felix was a sentimonster.

Later I started noticing somethings in the show that could be leading us to this theory, and so last year I found your first part of the sentimonster theory and completely agreed. Since season 4 started being released, I’ve been 100% sure this theory was going to extend, and look at us now! Although some people still think there’s not enough proof to this, I think that the creators did a pretty good job with the foreshadowing! Before watching this video I also believed Felix was Adrien’s “Senti-twin”, and now I believe it even more. Great video and theory, well done and very detailed! 💕

    Okay I am on board with the theory of the boys being sentimonsters and I noticed something that wasn't mentioned . On the risk episode Adrien tells Felix that he can't disobey his father and Felix said you can't but I can. Fast forward Gabriel gives Nathalie the ring before her and "Adrien" leaves and Felix proceeds to tell Gabriel that he didn't want to go and Gabriel has a look of shock and maybe somewhat fear on his face as he tries to twirl the ring but it isn't on his finger and then Nathalie says Adrien its time to go and adjusts her glasses but basically a show that she is wearing the ring and Felix obeys her. Fast forward to the strike back episode a continuation of risk when Felix is .making the deal to get the peacock miraculous from Gabriel he tell Gabriel he would give him the ring because he wouldn't be needing it anymore and Gabriel says how do WE know you won't use the peacock miraculous against us in which Felix replies if I wanted to harm you uncle I would have done it a long time ago

    I have one counter to the ring argument, at least on the Adrian side. Since that ring is connected to his mother he would be aware of it's value and would likely also hold values to him, and in the episode Empheral when he's told that he's honoring the memory of his mother, and we see how he's talking to him, is it not possible rather than this being controlling a sentimonster just how he was treated growing up and he learned how he hand to respond in a situation like that. Obviously he talked to him as he would has hawkmoth, but we've seen hawkmoth talk like that from day one meaning he likely did it before.
    Another thing I'd like to comment on is the perfect theory, paired with everything else it is plausible, but also wouldn't you call someone you love perfect. Cat Nior thinks Ladybug is perfect because he loves her and same with Marinette to Adrian.
    Don't get me wrong I love the theory but I am a critic. Still fantastic video and thanks for getting my brain working :D

Maybe when Nathalie moved her glasses, showing the ring, it was actually the glasses that the emphasis was on. Plus, when Gabe makes a sentient monster of himself he uses his glasses. Rewatching season four I just found a lot of emphasis that was not necessary put on the glasses. Felix also has a sort of spy glass thing. Any thoughts? Did anyone else notice that? Prior to Representation, many of us had assumed that each of the twin rings were their own separate object, and that Adrien and Felix’s amoks were placed on each of the rings respectively. However, after watching Representation, there were many plot points that did not add up if we were to assume that each ring was its own object:
    1. Gabriel would have no reason to be afraid of Felix. If Felix’s amok was housed in one of the twin rings he was wearing, he would have simply have used his ring to gain control or influence over Felix the same way he did with Adrien.
    2. Felix/Flairmidable would have never have traded the Miracle Box and Gabriel’s stolen ring for the Peacock Miraculous with Gabriel in the episode Strike Back. Once again, assuming that the ring Felix stole from Gabriel housed Felix’s own amok, Gabriel would quickly have gained control over Felix and force him to give back the Peacock Miraculous. And yes, in this assumption Gabriel would still have influence over Felix even when he is Flairmidable (As proven with Shadow Moth and Cat Noir in the episode Cat Blanc). It would have been a lose situation for Felix since in this hypothetical scenario, Gabriel would obtain the Miracle Box, the Peacock Miraculous, and one of the twin rings that was taken from him.
    3. Why would Gabriel gain control of a child that is not his? Also, I would like to point out something that many people overlooked and it is that Felix was wearing another ring in his other hand. In Representation, we learned that the other ring that Felix is wearing belonged to his late father, Colt Fathom, which is also where Felix’s amok is housed.

    I’m literally pissing myself at her saying “it’s so obvious” bc like...I didn’t notice any of this when I was watching💀

    this theory is great and interesting, but the only thing i don't like about it - well, it would kinda "dehumanise" Adrien. Not in a sense that sentimonsters aren't human, but the concept of Adrien as a character to us, the audience.
    Adrien, as a "perfect" child with the expectations and pressure of his abusive father on him:
    1) is unable to go against Gabriel's word, fears him
    2) didn't have a childhood dream, doesn't know what he wants to become in the future
    Those are real struggles of many children, and it is why Adrien is so easy to empathize with / he becomes a sort of inspiration to many. While this theory would be a good metaphor for this problem, i think it takes away from specifically Adrien's character and his autonomy

    In the episode where hawk moth had the miraculous of the bunny he wanted to travel back to the moment where emily used the broken peacock miraculous because he wanted to avoid her getting sick but if adrien was a sentimonster why would he do this because adrien wouldn’t exist

      It’s obvious that he doesn’t rlly care about adrien anymore, he is only obsessed with power and tries to convince himself that it’s for emilies sake. Even Nathalie in season 5 tries to tell him that he’s gone mad, that his pursuit is no longer for his family but for his own obsession with power

    What if what is actually going on is that Felix is the real sentimonster and Adrien was who he was based on, Adrien having grown up being told by Gabriel Felix could disappear if he misbehaved just through saying so with the ring on so Adrien had tried his best to be as obedient as he could until realizing Gabriel hadn't threatened it when he first began disobeying.
    Gabriel viewing Felix as what he wishes he could make Adrien into though until Felix stole the ring, but before then that being the reason he would push Adrien so hard to be perfect like Felix always was said to be as an artificial person.
    Though the ring rubbing thing bringing that all back to make Adrien fear he'd never get to see his cousin again, especially when he doesn't know which ring exactly was the "felix ring" and that Gabriel doesn't/didn't have it anymore.
    And that everything trying to hint to adrien being the sentimonster was a red herring while they slowly were to include Felix more into things.
    i mean, i highly doubt this myself, but at the very least it'd make a cool au

    The whole sentimonster theory kinda falls apart if you consider the fact that it was never confirmed that Emile couldn’t have kids 🧍🏻
    The whole theory is just resting on, “ IF Emile Agreste couldn’t have kids.”
