  • Following on from part 1, I remove the Rocket Cams 544 Camshaft & install the ever impressive Cyclerama CR512 Camshaft.
With supply issues still taking time to get some products, the customer has decided to go away from the initial choice of a RINEHART Racing full header system.
He has now decided to use the Touring MX Header pipe from FULLSAC Performance. I have never used this header pipe before so I am very keen to see how it performs.
The header pipe retains to use of the factory heat shields for a stealthy clean fit & finish.
Everything from part 1 stays the same in the engine. The engine is the bolt on Screamin' Eagle 131ci Stage IV kit, The FUELING OE+ Cam plate, APE High Capacity Lifters, hand ported & textured 64mm intake manifold, APE 6.2gps fuel injectors & the Rinehart Racing Slip-on's.
The bike produced a little more than I expected, mostly due to the Fullsac Header pipe as the numbers were up slightly from what I normally see the 512 Camshaft do in the 131 engine.
The bike feels exactly how it should now with a huge hit from the bottom of the rev range & stays strong right through the entire rpm range until the limiter.
The compression ratio of the 131 engine sits at roughly 10.7:1 without touching it which is very reserved if you ask me so to get these sort of results with just a camshaft is absolutely amazing. The bike is very well mannered down low, easy to ride in traffic & does not get hot.
If you're after a reliable big cube engine that makes strong smooth power EVERYWHERE, you need this combination! Softail or Tourer, you won't be disappointed.
