      Indian bikes come from the factory with basically stage 2 everything for half the price. Pretty sad actually.
      Harley does it as a marketing plan. It makes a ton of money for them. And it works since people are never satisfied with a harley to begin with. Which is why we modify them.

    Moonshine Harley, does either the 64mm SE or the 62mm HPI eliminate butterfly valve clapping/chatter/knocking that comes when you put a cam in like an S&S 475C? I put that cam in ('20 Road King Special, 114) and now have that butterfly valve knocking and am wondering if an aftermarket throttle body can make that noise go away or lessen it. Thanks and love your channel!

    A larger throttle does not hurt low end. That plenum could certainly change the flow rate and velocity. A larger throttle body would make tip in throttle much more aggressive though. That little bit of difference isn't changing much anyway. 62mm will flow way over 150 160Hp.

    @someonesomewheresomdeday Před 10 měsíci

    I recently picked up a 64mm SE TB, I only paid $300 for it. The HPI unit is just too expensive, especially considering that it still uses the oem throttle servo motor. I suppose if you're building a big ole mountain motor or something you could justify the added cost.

    I am wondering about the trask turbo system. Are they actually worth the cost of the turbo? And what kinds of mods must be done to the entire drivetrain? I would imagine you would need stringer internal engine parts and maybe swap the belt for a chain, and some other things that come with stock bike.

    Do you plan on releasing the dyno results between the HPI as is and Okeefe ported TB? Thinking of using the HPI with a set of match ported and blended SE heads on a 124” @ 11.5:1 with a TTS250 or Tman 234 cam. Very keen to know if there was any significant differences between those two TB.

    What size throttle body comes stock on the 2018 Heritage Classic 114 Anniversary edition? Mine already has the Screaming Eagle Ventilator Air Kit... If I switched to something like the HPI 62mm throttle body, would I be able to keep my existing cleaner or would I have to buy something specific to fit the HPI model? I'm looking at doing a stage IV upgrade with the S&S 114 to 128 Big Bore kit, along with the S&S Camp Plate, Oil Pump, 550 Gear Driven Cam, Lifters, High-Lift Valve Springs and Tappet Cuffs. My focus is on as much low-end Torque as possible. Do I need to upgrade the throttle body as well, or is the stock version on the 114 big enough? Also, I had new lifters and push-rods installed when I got my Stage 1&2 done last year... but that was for a TTS-100 Cam... Should I replace those again with S&S specific parts? Any help is appreciated!

    • @NoName-vz1ob
      @NoName-vz1ob Před 4 lety

      The ventilator is not a good air cleaner. If you like that look the ventilator extreme is ok. Be careful what you choose for exhaust to keep the power low. Especially with the S&S 550 cam. The S&S valve train components are good. So are the Feuling. Those are the two brands we usually use.

      Never understood people who bitch about what other people do to their bikes on the Internet.... not everyone wants a lame stock bike, meanwhile others are perfectly happy with a stock bike.
      But one of the selling points to Harley bikes is the ease of modification and massive aftermarket support. No other brand has any where near the amount of aftermarket parts available for them. You can custom fit the bike to you and how you use it... mean while get a Honda, Kawi, etc... you can get a seat and exhaust for them and really that’s about it.
