First time I have joined your video… I’m 72 year old guy that started baking during Covid… I certainly enjoy my new hobby, and my neighbors enjoy the fruits of my labor…
I found this recipe because I hated how many ingredients/preservatives are in store bought bread. My toddler LOVES sandwiches and THIS specific recipe is amazing. So easy to follow. I made the first batch of bread last night, and it's toddler approved! 🎉 Never buying bread again! Thanks!!!
Sara if you put the oven light on and put your dough in there it will keep warm with the light to help it rise
Saraa
I tried your recipe after a few epic failures using other recipes. The first loaves were beautiful, fluffy, good rise. Dumb luck, I thought, but the second time was even better. Tonight was my third batch and I am now convinced this is the best bread recipe on the internet!
Thanks so much! Who knew I would be a breadmaker?
What degree did you use to bake it?
@@cristinem.977 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
@@cristinem.977 still using this recipe and going strong!
I use powdeted or granulated honey instead of sugar and it is yummy. 1/2 cup.
@@cristinem.977 350
How cool is that! 😊
I made this bread today, it was very good. Instead of adding salt I added Italiano seasoning turned out awesome
Saraa, have you ever considered doing a pre-ferment? Make half the dough the day before, leave it out for a few hours then refrigerate overnight. The next day make the second half fresh, then mix the two. You can even keep the dough alive by allowing it to proof, then before shaping, whack half of it in the fridge and just make one loaf. By the next day you have a new batch of pre-ferment. Adding pre-ferment gives you an amazing depth of flavor.
P.S. I agree - bread is always better when basted with butter.
Hi Sara I just wanted to let you know that I have followed your instructions and recipe and made bread or rolls with it about 20+ times now and shared it with family and friends and they all have loved it. Thank you for a great recipe and instruction video. I really appreciate it 👍
Howdy, I cannot believe that 55K people viewed this and only 1.7K have hit the like button. You come across as someone comfortable in front of the camera, enjoys baking / cooking, and obviously are very easy on the eyes ( beautiful young lady ). I liked AND subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Have a great Christmas, spend as much time as possible with the people you love, and cherish that baby when it comes. As a dad of 2 and grandfather of 3, I can tell you that the time really does go by very fast. Take care and keep making the youtube videos.
She is one good looking lady
..Bread porn.. LOL!
The father is one lucky dude!
Never put hot, freshly baked bread on a sheet pan! Always cool completely on a wire cooling rack so that the heat doesn't make the bottom of the bread soggy!
Yup, I had to learn the hard way
You right a cooling rack always recommended
I was thinking the same thing as a bread baker myself (for years). It’s not a good idea either to leave your loaves sit in the pans. Remove them and set them on a cooling rack, then butter the tops.
Also need to add, take note other ladies, shes not overdone an troweled on a layer of make up, awesome
What is a cooking rack? 😂. Oh lord
I have avoided eating bread for about the last ten years. Then this last summer I've been spending more time at my favorite place in the world, home. Doing most of my own cooking. I started making tortillas and then bread, there is nothing better than fresh home made tortillas and bread. This video is wonderful thank you for it. Watching you slice reminded me I have something almost no home cook has, that I was going to scrap. It is a bread slicer from a bakery I remodeled years ago, I am going to put it to work. Thanks for the inspiration.
It looks like i am the 411th subscriber, you need way more than that, love your videos.
I baked this bread more than seven times. Very happy with the result. Thanks!
My two loaves are going in the oven in about five minutes! I bought a hand crank grain mill roughly a week ago, and your recipe is my first venture in using my own hand milled flour! I am loving the process! I only made a single loaf prior to going all in and buying a Wondermill Junior Deluxe. It gives a true sense of satisfaction to create freshly baked bread using a little time and effort. Thank you for posting this video!
Have to give this recipe a shot. Nothing better than homemade bread with butter and jam.
I've watched several people make bread & they treat the process as though it's tricky and complicated. You just put yours together with such ease. It turned out awesome looking! You helped me not be afraid to try!!! Ty!❤
Just made this bread and WOW! This is the softest bread I’ve ever made! Soo soft and delicious. I cut the recipe in half and used my bread machine to mix and knead the dough and let it rise in there for bout 1 1/2 hours then transfered to a pan and let rise another 30 min before baking. Awesome recipe, thank you!
Thank you Sara for this video. Like you say, very simple, and easy. I've never baked bread in my life and now at 70 years old I'm hooked!
New friend here. Whenever I see someone so relaxed when they are making bread I take notice. It means they are confident, they have done this often and they know the results are going to be amazing. That came true for sure. Then as I was watching, every bread making trick and tip in the book just came flooding out. I wish I had seen this 20 years ago. Thanks so much for this Saraa, love it to pieces.
exactly my thoughts
@@foxymineralmakep It's always so cool when someone else really gets the passion you feel. Thanks so much for just taking the time to stop and say so.
This is why I just subscribed
This video is super helpful.
It's my first time baking anything.
I followed through step-by-step and it came out really great and tasty.
I like that you mentioned when the dough is sticky how much more to add at a time. This will be so helpful!❤
I tried this recipe right down to the very detail, and it works great.I don’t consider myself a Baker. As a matter of fact,it’s my first time ever, making homemade bread.
To my surprise,,,,it turned out perfect.I honestly don’t think you can find a better recipe.Hey,if I can do it,anyone can do it.The instructions are very easy to follow. She does a good job explaining everything.Thank You.I’ll be using this alot .
I am in the act of following your instructions now. Two loaves will be entering the oven shortly. Excited! Thank you much for the easy to follow steps.
I love this bread recipe. I have just made it for the third time. It has gotten better each time as I learn what to see, feel and expect. Thank you so much for sharing a great learning tutorial.
So excited to see the finished product! I followed your directions and amounts and just the way the bread rose the first time was incredible! More than twice it's size. Anyway, it's almost ready for the oven. I've got my fingers crossed. Tom.
ive been using this exact recipe for several months, its so good and fairly easy to remember .. thank you for this vid!
Tried your recipe today and I can finely boast that my bread came out perfect.. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks a million my sister. I have tried your recipe twice after failing for years and now I finally make delicious homemade bread. Keep up the good work.
I love this recipe! Always on point. I also tried a few other recipes that never came close to the quality I get with your recipe. Thank you so much 😊.
I made this bread yesterday. It came out amazing! So soft and delicious. I added 1 and 1/4 tsp of salt instead of a pinch and 8 tbsp sugar and used my stand mixer. . I have recommended / shared it / your video -with my family as when they saw my results - sent them a video of the bread- and how delicious i told them it turned out, they also want to try it. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve been on the hunt for a really good white bread recipe. This one I’ve done a few times and it turns out great each time! Thank you for the recipe!!
Love the tutorial, I'll be giving this a shot this week. Thank you very much & keep up the great content!
you did a beautiful job with the bread LOL I think I could have sat at the end of your counter and eat half a loaf of that bread it looked so YUMMY !! thank you for sharing, keep up the good work 🙂
The way u explain and speak with that beautiful smile Sarah, was amazing ❤I will definitely try this out. Thanks a ton my fears are gone❤
I’ve been looking for an easy recipe. Thank you! Merry Christmas 🎄
❤Just watched your video, so now will make the bread. Such fun, really, this Sunday afternoon in West Texas. Thank you for sharing.
I just made this bread, I actually rushed into it and didn’t realize the recipe makes two so I made enough for four loafs! The bread came out soo good. Crunchy when toasted, I left it on a drying rack like others mentioned. 3 loaves and a batch of garlic bread sticks with this recipe. All fantastic especially for a newbie, thanks! So excited to make homemade bread from now on ❤
Hey Saraa, I used your video to make my first two loaves of bread. It turned out so wonderfully. My family loves it. I am close to a dozen since two weeks ago because my kids don’t want pre sliced bread anymore. Thank you for your video!
Thank you for the recipe, I absolutely love this bread!
man that looks good, nothing smells better then the yeasty aroma of warm bread, yummy, ty
Just made bread this morning. It came out so soft. This recipe is a keeper, Thank you!
Hello dear 🥰
Love how it turned out looks beautiful.😊
Ty for a new recipe. I hope to make this tomorrow. Blessings!!
Thank you!!!! I m excited, I m going to try it.
..I love the pinkle curl when cutting the bread..lol!
Great tutorial for delicious (i am sure with all that sugar), beautiful and surprisingly easy recipe.
Thank you!
Hi just tune in to you love your simple recipe for the bread love watching you so easy going in the kitchen thanks look forward to watching you again
thank you. they look great.
I love homemade bread .got to try
I'm about to make this recipe and excited to try it. I thought of using honey instead of sugar as I have found it's usually less dry. But I love how she just throws it altogether without the perfect shiny g l ass bowls with fancy flowers and towels I see in most video's. Some I have made and the bread does't turn out like a magazine cover like most other video's of bread recipes being made on yt. Sometimes the bread doesn't look like the raised dough that went into the oven and the perfect loaves that came out, but this video is real with real results. I hope you make more. 😊
... and I also like how you poked the dough to show the bounciness when it is ready❤
I cook this bread twice a week. I keep a loaf for my house and give a loaf to my neighbor. This is the easiest, best bread recipe I’ve made. And I’ve made many different recipes.
I really liked your method, and your instructions were easy to follow. I tried it and it worked for great for me.
Thank you finally a simple recipe for a beginner !
Had to tell u tried this for the second time and halted it and made rolls and mini cinnamon rolls and the were very good. Thanks for showing and sharing
I’ve been trying to make a bread using a starter with potato flakes. I used to make it this way a long time ago and it was so good. Now it just doesn’t seem to be as good as it was when I made it years ago. I’m definitely going to try this recipe. Doesn’t look like it takes as long.
Hi , what a sweet little video , the best things in life are always the basic things . Watching here in England , thank you for your very great video . Many thanks indeed
Thank you for this video so much simpler than other I watched
Thanks for sharing your recipe on making, 'white bread ' that I have been trying to make; have been unsuccessful. Found it to be educational and interesting.

❤ thanks a lot for sharing your recipes 😀 you're awesome
Mine turned out perfect thank you ❤
What a great recipe .Made a couple loafs the other day and everybody loves it .Thank you so much and have a great day
Hello dear 🥰
I’m making a change in my life to avoid processed oils and store-bought bread is usually a culprit. I thought this video, before some of the others, seemed well done and easy. So…I’m making this bread today! Thanks!
Too much sugar!
I used this recipe. I made bread for the first time today and it was super good
Looks delicious too!!
So New Year's Eve and I decided to try this tonight and it was a winner for my family, saying it was the best bread they ever ate! 👌👌👏👏👍👍THANK YOU Saraa!!!!
I am so trying this recipe! Looks delicious ❤
Thank you so much I've been trying to make bread for months I done this step by step with you and wola amazing bread, 😁x
Totally going to try this with my IPad on the counter of course. Thanks and I will advise of the results.
A beautiful lady that knows how to cook; that is getting rare in this time. Subscribed!!
Outstanding! Thx!
I have tried bread 8 times each time it was just watery thick bread and explains why needing is so important her recipe with the sugar and everything was just an immaculate my neighbors just raved over this my bread I want to thank you girl cuz I've tried them all and yours is the best
I've even tried Jenny Jones and it don't compare to thanks for your recipes
It’s a rainy yucky day and I just got a Dutch oven so I figured it was time to learn how to make fresh bread!
Thank you so much Saraa for sharing a great recipe! It was my first time making bread, but it will not be the last! At first, I thought it would be too much sugar and decided to half the amount...but I should have just added the amount you said, as it definitely could've used more sugar. Nonetheless, the texture was really soft, and it still tasted really good.
Thank you so much for this video I will be trying this soon hope to share the pic with you and safe delivery.
Great video. Thanks so much.
Hello Sara, I really like this recipe, will try for sure. And, yes you are so peacefully beautiful to watch preparing these recipes.... Subscribed 😊❤👌
Update! Flavor and texture wonderful! Since i only had one bread pan i rolled the rest into a ball and it came out great as well. With all the variations and confusion on CZcams about making bread this one is easy and works great! tom.
If you want to make more of a close crumb sandwich bread I highly suggest this recipe. Your's looked great for some Texas toast or other thick cuts but I think this is a great one to try.
6 cups unbleached all-purpose flour or bread flour. You can also do half white half wheat flour
1 cup milk (I use skim)
1 cup to 1 1/2 cups hot water enough to make a soft, smooth dough
8 tablespoons melted butter or 1/2 cup vegetable oil (it needs to be a low flavor oil so olive oil will not work. Avocado oil is the better choice)
4 tablespoons granulated sugar (I use organic cane sugar)
2 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 packet active dry yeast dissolved in 2 tablespoon warm water OR 4 teaspoons instant yeast. (I use refrigerated instant yeast)
1. To make the dough: Weigh your flour; or measure it by gently spooning it into a cup, then sweeping off any excess. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients and stir until the dough starts to leave the sides of the bowl. Transfer the dough to a lightly greased surface (I use a very small amount of flour, You do not want to use too much flour when kneading your dough), oil your hands (a small amount of butter rubbed in your hands works best), and knead it for 6 to 8 minutes, or until it begins to become smooth and supple (I use the window pane test).
2. Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl, cover the bowl, and allow the dough to rise until puffy though not necessarily doubled in bulk, about 1 to 2 hours. Mine usually takes the full 2 hours.
3. Gently deflate the dough and transfer it to a lightly oiled work surface. I usually just spray a little non stick spray onto my dough mat. Once you deflate it you need to flatten it and shape it into a rectangle. Take a rolling pin and flatten all the air bubbles. Fold the dough in half until it's a long long shape. Flip it over and then take the rolling pin to it again. At this point I separate it into two parts of equal size. Take each part and fold it into itself to make a roll (like a cinnamon roll on its side. This is what creates the fluffy close crumb). Then place it into your loaf pans, this recipe makes 2 loaves (I prefer a pullman pan with a lid).
4.Then place it into your loaf pans, they should be sprayed with a nonstick spray first, this recipe makes 2 loaves (I prefer a pullman pan with a lid). Cover the pan loosely with lightly greased plastic wrap or the pullman lid, and allow the bread to rise for about 60 minutes, until it's domed about 1" above the edge of the pan. A finger pressed into the dough should leave a mark that rebounds slowly. Towards the end of the rise, preheat your oven to 350°F.
5. Bake the bread for 40 minutes, until it's light golden brown. Test it for doneness by removing it from the pan and thumping it on the bottom (it should sound hollow), or by measuring its interior temperature with a digital thermometer (it should register 190°F at the center of the loaf).
6.Remove the bread from the oven, and cool it on a rack before slicing. Store the bread in a plastic bag at room temperature for several days; freeze for longer storage.
THE BREAD NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM THE PANS AS SOON AS THEY COME OUT OF THE OVEN AND PLACED ON A COOLING RACK. YOU CANNOT LEAVE THEM IN THE PAN TO COOL.
I will for sure try it out this week!! Thanks for sharing your recipe I appreciate it. 💕
have my dough rising now half an hour will have French toast in the morning!
It doesn't say what the weight of the flour should be !
I use cups so idk@@averteddisasterbarely2339
Eres fantastica para hornar pan y enseñas muy bien y con paciencia.
Hello dear 🥰
I been practicing making bread from a recipe from this girl on TikTok and it isn’t going well so I’m switching to yours to try because your recipe sounds easy to do and not complicated.
Hello, do they make a shelf stable yeast for long term storage?
Your bread looks amazing. I make Italian bread often but NEVER that amount of sugar just enough to activate the yeast. I'll try your recipe for sure. ❤
My bread turned out fantastic. Thank you!!!
What degree did you bake it?
Really nice texture on that bread. Best texture I've ever seen for homemade bread. I couldn't add that much sugar, though. Wow. I loved your comment about the pregnancy craving for fries. Your new child will love fries. My daughter would not let me near a coffee pot without retching and was constantly craving Mexican. Forty years later she still hates coffee and loves Mexican food!
too much sugar and she could use honey... sweet feeds the yeast.
American sugar bread. Helps build diabetes 12 ways.
This recipe looks wonderful! I love to cook bread. I have recently gotten into milling my own flour and love the extra fiber and nutrients and extra flavor that it adds. I will have to try your recipe with my freshly milled flour. ;) Thank you for sharing.
I also mill my flour and would love to know how it turned out. Finding a good bread recipe with freshly milled flour has been a challenge for me
@@bethdepot-jackson7054 Her recipe is delicious and I like it but I will also share mine with you. I have been making bread about a year now and found a recipe (after some tweaking) that I like to use. You can adjust the types of wheatberries you like to use. I have used all hard red before and like it, but I now like to use a mix of wheat berries. Here is what I do [you can adjust and not use the egg or oil if you want, but I find it does make the bread better]: I take 2 1/4 cups wheat berries and grind them into flour. [Here is the mix of wheatberries I like the best …. 1 1/4 c Hard Red, 1 c spelt or a mix of spelt and hard white] Grind the berries into flour. Mix in 1 tsp salt; In a separate bowl, mix 1 tb active yeast with a tiny bit of sugar to help feed/activate it and add 1/4 c warm … not hot…. Water. In a third measuring cup, mix 1/4 c oil, 1/4 c honey and one egg. Set aside. Measure out 1 c warm, not hot, water. Now your ready to make the bread. Pour the yeast mixture, the oil mixture into the flour. Then add about 1/2 to 3/4 c of the warm water to the mixture and mix well. Use some of the leftover water as needed to ensure a moist dough but not too sticky and not too dry. I knead this about 10 minutes. Cover and let rise in a warm place until double in size. Roll onto a very lightly floured surface (you don’t want to dry out the dough) and gently shape into a loaf. I pull it to the length of my pan, pull the sides toward the middle to stretch it without pushing all the air out of it, then pull from the other sides and stretch it over to the middle again, pinch the pulled sides together and place this side facing down in the pan. This amount makes enough dough for about one good sized loaf. I place parchment paper in the bottom of my pan to make sure it does not stick. Cook at 350 F for about 30 min or until golden brown. You can cook it hotter, but I don’t like to do that. I like a better rise to my dough in the oven. I make this bread once a week and the loaf lasts us (2) about 5 days …. Eating only one slice a day. Hope you try and like it.
First real successful loaf thank you !!
I made this bread today after failing with a few tik tok video tutorials. THANK YOU! So good and so soft! I made one loaf and the other half I made into rolls for dinner.

Nice video and recipe. I use a similar but NO sugar or oil. I just use Yeast, Salt, warm water, breast flour. I have moved to instant yeast to remove one of the rise steps.
