In this guitar lesson, we show you how to get the guitar tone from Last Train Home by John Mayer. This is a brand new song from John Mayer, off his latest album Sob Rock. Last Train Home is a really catchy song that is not too difficult, and a lot of fun to play on guitar. The solo is very melodic and involves a lot of cool bending, but the big thing that has everyone talking about is the tone of John Mayer's guitar. It is very reminiscent of Eric Clapton's tone from the Journeyman album. In this video, I will show you how to replicate this tone using effects pedals.
