Bat a trap like tht but the rat took the piece of chocolate tht was sticking up from the gob of peanut butter I put to much bait on the plate .so now I know to put the bait right in the center of the bait holder and not on the metal flap thts above the bait holder..I appreciate this video u did a fantastic job explaining
Sorry he stole your chocolate.
Great short video and explanation. Exactly what I needed to see.
Glad this helped.
One user suggested placing milk crates over the trap to keep dogs, kids, and chickens safe but rats could easily get through.
Interesting. I do not use any type of trap or poison around small children or pets.
Great video, Granny! I'm really glad you mentioned that it's reusable. Thanks for your help.
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent sales pitch. I'm sold. Damn things are taking over my garage but I don't want them to suffer. This looks quick...
Sorry for your invasion. Yes, the Tomcat is swift and effective.
Thanks for posting ! I will have to purchase one .
They really are simple and effective!
Now that’s a good trap. Thanks!
You are welcome.
HEH burrito! Thanks for the vid, the Tomcat website is kind of light on information.
We found rat poop in the garage, and got two of these snap traps that I shall deploy tonight.
Beautiful ring, btw!
Happy hunting. Let me know what bait works best for you.
We have been buying this brand for a few years. We don't have problems with rats but the mouse trap is awesome!
Thanks for sharing your success!
I caught 1 mouse.. 2nd didn't work so I added 2 next to each other .. bam.. I caught it .
Now the 3rd isn't being caught.. so I added peanut butter and the mouse licks it and it's catching it..
Thoughts??
It's nasty.. lol .
good job Granny!
Thanks, I'll try your remedy, I've tried about every thing else. :) when they work, their great.
Please do!
Very helpful. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
THANK YOU! I JUST PURCHASED AN OLDER HOME & IT HAS A SERIOUS RAT INFESTATION. I'M USING THIS TRAP ALONG WITH A FEW OTHER METHODS TO CAPTURE. IF IT WASN'T FOR YOUR VIDEO I WOULDN'T HAVE PURCHASED ANY, BECAUSE OF BAD PAST EXPERIENCES WITH OLDER TRAP MODELS.
AGAIN, THANK YOU!!! & AWESOME STRAIGHT TO THE POINT & THOROUGH VIDEO. GOD BLESS
p.s. I also just subscribed to your channel💚
Glad my video helped. Yes, these traps are easy to set and work great. You can reuse them, too.
Thank you so much for your video
Glad it was helpful!
Good video, thanks 👍
Glad you found my video helpful. 👍
I bought these last winter. It’s Halloween and now we have the problem again. We rent have BEGGED for pest control but they just came out themselves and threw poison under hose. I bought 300 dollars in stuff last year and they disappeared and several hundred in foam and wood plugging holes I thought we had all the holes but guess not. We seen one big one two nights in a row and it’s not scared of lights or activity at all. All tvs and lights in we were cooking and cleaning and it ran through. But I wanted to tell u they have an improved model which I will be getting tomorrow the hole is exposed so u can put bait before setting
For large Rats I suggest you screw the trap to a 2x4 after you have put the bait in and before setting it. Or You may prefer just to tie it to a heavy weight with something the rat cannot chew through. I have had a rat get caught by only one leg or the tail and take off with my trap. No joking!
I've had the same problem. Great suggestion.
I need this
They work great.
I had a success rate with these until I realized rats were avoiding it them. They recognized peanut butter as a danger. A good suggestion is to constantly change the bait
Noticed your beautiful ring💍😯
I do have some lovely jewelry, and don't wear it all the time. Thanks for watching.

Btw the ring is gorgeous
How can I attach it to the top of the block wall where I saw the rat killed and mutilated all 4 of my bluebird nestlings in the nestbox. I don’t want the rats to knock it down off the block wall into my neighbors yard. I was thinking Velcro or maybe duct tape. I’m very worried mom built another nest and laid an egg today. Please help? I ordered this from Amazon comes tomorrow but what should I do for tonight?
Tie a string on it and attach the other end to something on your patio. If it falls, you can reel it in.
Thank you I was going to put it on the top of block wall fence but there’s nothing to attach the string to. What about Duct Tape.? I did set 2 out last night but got nothing since I had to put them on the grass instead cuz I didn’t want them to fall over in the neighbors yard without attached. I did see a feral cat but had them on the ground. Feral cats and squirrels travel path on top of the wall also, will trap won’t hurt them? I used peanut butter. Last question since I didn’t catch anything how do I unset? You have the best most clearest video on this device.
Awww, poor rats...but if granny says so, it must be right. It is a pretty cool trap...
I don't want rats, so it's right for me.
I'm okay with it because it looks QUICK and no suffering. I'll use peanut butter NOT POISON! 👍
When new, the trap works good, but after a few catches, IT WILL NOT SET. after trying several times, it might set but as time goes on, IT WILL NO SET.
Sorry you have had problems with your trap. Mine have continued to work well for several years. Trying soaking it in a bucket of soapy water for 5-10 minutes, rinse, and let it dry thoroughly. Perhaps something is stuck in the mechanism.
how do i disengage it?
Hit it with a stick.
@@AlaskaGranny haha thanks Granny!
Wow that trap really is nasty to that thin card you use to show how strong it is... *rolls eyes ...
Yeah, they don't work. I'll stick with Victor. I purchased mine years ago when they were industrial strength. Garbage now. The rats will go in from the side and not set the trap off, as a result, no kill.
I have had luck with all kinds, and do find the snap traps the easiest to set. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I tried this trap. the peanut butter is gone and no rat!
does that mean I have a mouse or a really smart rat ???
