- With the finale of Schitt’s Creek comes the bittersweet end of Alexis and David’s petty, yet endearing, fights. It won’t be easy to part ways with the Rose siblings, but at least we’ll always have these scenes to look back on. As Moira says in the series pilot, “Mindless bickering is a luxury we may no longer afford.”

Was the moment I knew I would love this show.
And that the sibling relationship was gonna be so real! They bicker and argue and hate eachother, but deep down they would die for eachother and love eachother. Instead of the overused "siblings=best friends and tell eachother everything" thing that most shows do.

me too , i run almost 5 days a week , each time run at least 6miles ,weekend sometime run 16 miles but when i have to go out for a walk with my husband about 15 mins later I'm getting tired lol....

Thank you to the writers for not doing the whole “hey lil sister” “thanks, brother” thing that shows always do to remind the audience of their connection to each other. These two actually seem like siblings
Actually Dan Levy aka David is one of the co-writers.
The only time David and Alexis would call each other "bro" or "sis" is if it was with POUNDS of sarcasm.
My favourite was when they were on Heather's place where David told Alexis to go back to car when he realised the scenario was getting more messy by the second.

@@narayastarks eugene’s daughter & dan’s sister also plays in the show (twyla) so she definitely had input on the dynamic between david & alexis. apparently many of the pranks & banter david & alexis had were shared between dan and sara throughout their childhood too.

yeah right. there's a specific tone and energy to each david. and despite saying the name so many times it doesn't feel weird.
She said in a panel that she started sprinkling in the "Davids" into the dialogue unscripted and the writers let it stay because they thought it was funny.
The tamogachi argument is so valid because my brother watched mine while I was at Girl Scout camp and he killed it, and then when he reset it he screwed up the AM and PM, so it slept all day and was awake all night and I had to reset it to fix it, which essentially meant killing it AGAIN, and yes I’m still salty about it.

My two kids had two tamogachis and put them in my charge while they were in school. I was trying desperately to keep them alive while wondering what was going on in life that I had to do that.

I shared a room with my sister until we were eighteen and we had the same petty fights but would have walked through a fire to save the other. I always felt this was their relationship. David and Alexis bickered but down deep haf each others' backs.
The "Eat glass" exchange is definitely a favorite among so many of my favorites! I love this show so much. My grandchildren will know of it.

And that was her response to David pointing out that not everyone can flirt their way into getting a driver's license. Which means, she successfully flirted while wearing a burka. The context makes this so much funnier. XD

One of the things I really appreciate about this show (and there are many), is that they chose to have Alexis and David be adults. I feel like in other hands they would have made the siblings be in high school and have them do the cliche how to navigate through school and your teenage years in a new town and “discovering” yourself”.
I think having them be adults shows the audience that you are very much still growing and developing in your 20s and 30s and that it’s ok to not know what you’re doing all the time. Those are the years where you truly discover yourself (and even years after that) and when you really start to be cultivate the relationships that will last a lifetime.
It’s not much but it’s something that I really like that they did. I think about the episode in the last season where David and Stevie are talking about him going to New York to be with people who don’t really care about him, and how David wants to prove that he’s not a joke. That’s a feeling that I have struggled with throughout my 20s (I’m 25 now).
In short, I love this show with my whole being 😊

Absolutely. Seeing David and Alexis grow up as young adults was one of my favourite parts of the series. It was very moving and insanely funny.

The chemistry between them is as natural and pure as the chemistry between Eugene and Catherine. Also, my crush on both Annie and Dan is real and I need them both back on my screen as soon as possible...who am I kidding? Emily, Noah, Sarah, Tim, Dustin, they're all beautiful people.

It’s so weird to think that Annie was a recast because she is perfect as Alexis and dan has said that writing for Alexis is his favorite because of all her weird backstories and you can tell. I’m already missing it!

Another actress, the daughter of the actor who plays Roland, originally had the role of Alexis. Shot the pilot. But she’s also on SNL and there was a scheduling conflict, so she pulled out of SC! Annie Murphy is too perfect for the role and I can’t imagine anyone else playing the part.

2:36 is one of my favorite David and Alexis moments, I love how she just had the conversation with her parents clarifying the drama that she wasn’t pregnant, then immediately spinning it around to tease David. Just shows Alexis is really quick witted!
