- David and Patrick are the ultimate couple goals. We watched them meet in season three, fall in love, move in and ultimately get married at the end of season six. It wasn't always smooth, and they weren't obvious match, but we're obsessed with them. This is their story in full.

The Love Story of David and Patrick In Full | Schitt's Creek
/ netflixuk
Suddenly broke, the formerly filthy-rich Rose family is reduced to living in a ramshackle motel in a town they once bought as a joke: Schitt's Creek. - Zábava
I ADORE that they made Patrick's character new to gay relationships at a full-grown age and also unembarrassed by his inexperience. He felt comfortable in his discomfort and that is such a good example to viewers.
Yessss
THISSSSS!!!
Literally just saw this comment dated 8 months ago

David and Patrick's relationship is the ONLY thing I believe in in 2020.
Rinzler AGREED🙌

The only thing you believe in is fictional show on tv???? Wow, knock yourself out.

I'm utterly grateful for Eugene Levy for bringing Dan into this world.
...as only he could have. They're such a great team. There's a beautiful photo you can find online of a younger Eugene holding a little toddler Dan. I melted.
Absolutely!!!!
I feel this comment on a spiritual level
I just discovered the show and I am so in love with it. Such perfection.
@@PanktiBarbie I feel exactly the same way. ❤️
We all need a Patrick in our lives
he set the bar too high lmao
Also a david!
Imagine finding a Patrick. It hurts my heart
Please wait in line. There are people in front of you.
How about striving to BE a Patrick instead of waiting on one
Sucks that basically every reality show gets 1 million seasons when all we really want is 1 million seasons of Schitt’s Creek. The most underrated, wholesome, funny, brilliant, and perfect show! I miss the Roses!
We don't want this show to turn into one of those shows that's on forever and not as good as it used to be. It will be back if/when Dan Levy gets inspiration for it again.
stephieirene1 Definitely. I would love a David and Patrick spin-off! I really want to see them (mostly David) with a baby😜
Just binged the whole show in a week and I'm dying for more!!
Dan ended it exactly when he wanted to
@@worldsbiggestholdthegirlfan Exactly 🙏🏽
I'm not gay, but, what I really like about Schitt's Creek is that the relationship between David and Patrick seems so normal and beautiful. Such a nice promotion of diversity.
Was the “I’m not gay, but” really necessary
Really dude? So you can only love a gay love story if you’re gay?
2020 I was gonna say that too
I am gay, but I appreciate you liking this show. It is one of the few things that let my family know who I am.
@@wilbursootsclock1288 It's no big deal. They're not gay but they can relate stop be so sensitive. Let people express themselves and not bully them.
When he opened that ring box and it was multiple rings will never not be funny to me 😂
But it was so thoughtful... so Patrick.
Honestly though? It's why I love the way he writes couples. He gets that every couple has their own love language. Things that would be meaningless between another couple have deep romantic connection. In this example, it's the intimacy implied with Patrick being familiar with David's silver rings and having put real thought into what would be a meaningful gift to him.
But my favorite example of Dan's mastery of love languages is actually David lip syncing for Patrick. Like, with any other couple that would just be weird and meaningless. Like why would that be romantic? It's so goofy!
But for David...it's not only him telling Patrick "this song is how I feel about you, too" but it's him being vulnerable to Patrick in a way he never would've before. David hates to look stupid. He's so prideful about being put together and cool. But not with Patrick. The reason his gesture lands the way it does is because it's so specific to David and Patrick's love language. It's David's way of saying "I look like an idiot and I feel like an idiot but I adore you, I don't care if I am being a huge fucking dork right now because I want to be vulnerable with you so you understand what this means". And Patrick understands. Because that's their love language.
All the couples on the show have their own love language and I love it so much.
😂😂😂😂😂.. It's simply the best
Kelwyn YNWA This comment gave me life. I’m sobbing so hard right now. Thank you for putting it in words. Bless you SO much.
That was clever and hilarious.
Disney didn't give me unrealistic expectations of a partner, Patrick did!
Same hahaha
I teared up the second they began 'Simply The Best' down the aisle.
YUP...I will always get emotional at that.
It's such a good rendition and its THEIR song. It's so cute!
Hannah Rachel Abraham So freaking true.
It’s my favourite Schitt Creek song ever.

When they say their vows and Stevie is just there in the background crying. 😭😍
I think that was probably spontaneous. That emotion looked too real to be scripted.
@@shahzadsuterwala2720 Those are real tears. All because Dan and Eugene decided to end it.

I don't know if I'm more in love with David or Patrick, but I do know I'm in love with their love. We need more TV love stories like this!
So wholesome and real

"Patrick found us a house, and that house is here...we're staying, I just don't think I'm done with this place yet" MY HEART!!!!!
Stevie crying in the background at the wedding because she’s so happy for them
I don't think it was Stevie. I'm pretty sure it was just Emily breaking character. Everyone was very sad at that scene, like real tears.
I just commented above that every time I watch the wedding scene I wish I could ask (or wish someone would) Emily if it was Stevie crying or Emily crying. I’m pretty sure it’s both.
It wasn’t acting.
That's me. I'm Stevie. We are all Stevie.
@@marianneharms5836 Late to this but if you watch their farewell on Netflix, it's clear how much emotion is involved. Guarantee you those are real tears.
My favorite part about this relationship are stevies reactions to anything that happens
"Did you put on deodorant today?" 😂
I like how chill and indifferent she acts yet very nosy at the same time
Stevie all day lol
I felt sad for Stevie each time she threw herself at a man; they didn't want her. The electrician ditched her by going out the restaurant bathroom window. Ameer used her while he was in town..poor girl. Their lost!
Sabrina Ross i thought she was with the hot bisexual carpenter
You can see Patrick amazed meeting David the first time.
Yes. He is taken with him immediately. Noah Reid was so good in the role..
paul nadratowski yes, he was perfect for the part. Bless Noah’s heart.❤️

This compilation is the reason I watched the series. I love it.
Two of my absolute favourite things in this compilation: 1) Stevie's reaction to the receipt present. I love how she immediately realises what a huge deal it was and how she then gives Patrick the seal of approval as BFF. 2) Moira's reaction to Patrick's serenade. I love how she can sense the magnitude of it and is so quietly bowled over.
I love them and I love their love. This show was excellent.
I cried through the coming out episode. This was the best, healthiest relationship throughout the series. They went through their ups and downs, which were very painful, but at the end they were just adorable and in love.
It’s probably my favourite episode. Confident, smart ass Patrick being so vulnerable, and neurotic, high-strung David being so calm and supportive. ❤️❤️
This show is so important for LGBTQ+ representation. It shows a gay relationship as it should be show, as true, wholesome & beautiful. This shows makes me feel warm and fuzzy
Yes!! And guess what? NOBODY had to die! That's a first for me ...
True. Every person on earth should be touched by such a good solid positive relationship. It is such a heartwarming thing to watch. It is a cure for humanity. How can anyone not whole heartedly approve and support 2 People managing to built such a beautiful relationship. Credit to Dan Levy.
Very true. Their relationship is everything.
They created a world where homophobia has no place- even when Patrick came out to his parents. Makes me wanna cry
Schitt's Creek has become so much more to me over the last couple seasons, the final season hit me so hard. The Patrick and David storyline and how the whole show treats the LGBT part of the show is so refreshing and normal. I haven't seen a gay love story so organically produced not from struggle or heartache but from genuine love. The emotions portrayed buy the incredible actors and scriptwriters, like the struggle Patrick's character had to go through to kiss David and to later come out to his parents, and also David to break through his barrier to allow someone to genuinely love him unconditionally with all his flaws was incredible to watch and feel. As a pansexual/gay man who has struggled for years to come to terms and accept myself for who I am, I am so grateful and honored to live in a world where content like this is created, and I haven't touched on the story and importance of Love that is also portrayed so beautifully in this. Thank you so much Dan and Eugene Levy and the whole cast and crew. I look forward to seeing what is next for you all x
Love is just love here. This is why Schitt's Creek is so special to me. ❣️
Love is love. Hope you've a good life💜💜💜

👑👑👑Moira👑👑👑
From David not being able to accept having plungers at the front of the store to making the biggest compromise of all in the last season by being the only Rose to stay in Schitt's Creek shows one of the biggest character development in this show. This show and relationship are simply the best :')
I want a stevie in my life. look at how happy she is for david crying at the background.
I wanna be Stevie when I grow up.
Stevie ended up alone....nice as she is.
Sabrina Ross she ended up a co-owner of a huge franchise of motels that she would be touring the continent while opening new branches. She ended up financially stable, accomplished in her career and proud of herself able to say she made a mark. She ended up with a new family that accepted her whole and best friends who were a part of her world. You don’t have to end up in a relationship to be fulfilled and have a significant character arc. Is that what you would say about Alexis too?
Truee that is what they want to show too..that Stevie's and Alexis's fullfill ment is not in their relationships..they will eventually find their love..
Noah absolutely nails every scene that he's in, tremendous performer
Patrick and David's love story on Schitt's Creek is probably one of the best depictions of gay characters (pan-sexual too) ever done on TV. It helps to spread the message that we're no different, yet wet are unique (as shown with David character's eccentricities). I wish we would have a couple of more seasons of this incredible show.
Yes. The show was ground breaking in its portrayal of a gay relationship
1:51
I feel like it was in this moment that Patrick really started to SEE David, and thought something along the lines of, "I could listen to this man for hours."
The way that Moira whispered David’s name then screamed it has me dying every time😂
Who is watching this fully ugly crying. It can't be just me. PLEASE GOD I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE!
You are definitely not alone my friend!
Bawled through the entire thing 😭
Nope not just you😘😥🤗
I'm so delighted that David and Patrick got their happy ending, they're simply the best couple on this show! 👬💘
I see your happy ending pun 😂
They’re honestly one of the best couples I’ve seen on modern TV. There’s such a huge amount of respect, humor, love, and sweetness between them. They’re not perfect (David can be fussy and Patrick wasn’t always transparent) but they bring out the best in each other nonetheless.
His small smile everytime hes watching davids antics is cute lmao
Patrick singing "Always Be My Baby" as part of his vows is the perfect bookend to his earlier "You're my Mariah Carey" proclamation to David.
never been more invested in a tv couple
I’ve never liked a show as much as Schitt’s Creek.
I’ve never felt as safe as when I’m in its world.
I’ve never known love as free to grow as when I’m watching it.
It’s not been an easy few months for any of us, but knowing that it will always be there for us makes everything ok.
Thanks to Dan, Eugene and all the cast, crew and writers for creating this perfect gem of a show that has shown us how beautiful the world could be. We will forever be indebted to them for the joy they have given us in 22 minute segments and I wish them nothing but the best of luck with all future endeavours.
The decision to make Schitt’s Creek a homophobia and bigotry free zone was a huge paradigm shift. It modelled how beautiful it would be to live in a place where David’s Pansexuality, Patrick being Gay, Ronnie being a Lesbian and Jake being Bi/Poly/Hedonistic are what they are and didn’t need an anxiety ridden episode where it was discussed and then accepted.
Dan will never truly understand what he has given us or how much this beautiful creation has meant to us.
Right? The main thing that brings me back to this show, time and time again, is how refreshingly free of bigotry it is.
I understand why straight writers would think that adding a homophobia plotline gives the character strength or whatever, but it's tiring, it's constant, it's boring and sometimes it feels like the writer is enjoying making this gay character miserable, David and Patrick are such a refreshing change of pace, and here in the West where gay people are approaching more and more acceptance, their relationship is more accurate to what a lot of young gay people have, a supportive family and a community that accepts them, it's time the media starts to reflect that I think. And thank god for Schitts Creek carving the path
"Are these 24 carat? It's a yes."
i was looking for this comment 😂
Patrick's face was like "Really David?" 😂
I adore that line! I always cry laugh! Lol!
❤️
My favorite part is how hard David works to make sure that Patrick can come out to his parents on his own terms- even though his dad accidentally came out for him he went to far lengths to make sure he could do it himself even though he ended up knowing in the end.
Yes!! He wanted to make sure Patrick did it on his own terms and its beautiful
Possibly the most charming couple ever on screen, made even more genuine and touching by having flaws.
Moira being her ICONIC self officiating the wedding in a papal outfit and yelling at David to say “I do”... 😂😂😂
Incredible.
This gets me every time! Between her yelling and David's reaction, it really brings it back to the roots of the comedy of the show.
Best wedding scene from any series ever.
As much as I love it. A little bit Alexis is ICONIC.
Charlene Ong Catherine O’Hara is one of the greatest actresses of our time. No one else could have come close to the character she portrayed. What a gift to us. Blessings 🙏
You should see boris and Tobias series.. Is much better than this
When the parents said "You are the only thing in the world that matters to us"
I just started bawling. This is how every coming out should be
I am a straight married man and watching this love story unfold brings me to tears every time I see it... the heart wants what it wants and love is love
I need a Patrick Brewer in my life! I’ve never fallen in love with a television (or movie for that matter) character ever before but Patrick is simply the BEST
Awe so sweet
100% this!!!
Agree with every word, 100%
When Patrick tells Johnny that he will always love and protect David, and Johnny is choked up and speechless, I'm dehydrated from the tear loss.
So that put my cold dead heart into the microwave for defrosting 😂❤️
Its so wonderful that "fold the cheese" Moira is the same as the Moira that understands her children so well. 😭😭😭😭 I love how she was the first one to put David's insecurities at rest
I'm sorry but Moira essentially screaming "DAVID will you take Patrick to be your lawfully wedded husband" is one of the funniest and loveliest things on this show. She has such love for her son that she can't contain herself and it bursts out of her in the best way
The story is BEAUTIFUL, SO BEAUTIFUL, but wanted to give props to Noah Reid’s acting during Patrick’s first meeting with David. You could tell there was flirtation/attraction right away and it was all in the subtle movements and speech patterns. If you look at how Patrick interacts with Stevie there is a completely different tone. STAN TALENT, STAN SCHITT’S CREEK
Noah Reid is literally perfect lol. He's the perfect mix of sarcasm, sensitivity, generosity and wit. Someonee find me a Noah Reiddd alreadyy
I liked how they portrayed siblings in this sitcom
Boyd Boyett !!!
“So we’re very clear on what it’s NOT.”
😂😂😂😂😂
I fell in love with Patrick just there with his playful sass when I was first watched the series and I was just like, David is going to marry this man. He’s finally met his match.
I love how healthy their relationship is, they’re my absolute favorite tv couple because they didn’t have any unnecessary conflict just to further the plot
Well there was the happy ending, the freakout over the ex-fiance etc.
Some things that really didn't make the most sense
Best show ever! The point of making a gay relationship so common place among the entire small town in the middle of nowhere was genius. No shocked faces, no one tried to change them, no protesting. It wasn't about being gay - it was about love.
Unfortunately that world just don't exist.
Not yet, but I have hope for the future and we are moving closer and closer to that world ;)
@@waiwong2405That hope is increasingly fading. Homophobia and even Transphobia are on the rise again. I feel it is becoming unsafe again. I lived in a time where I witness Lawrence, Brewer and Obergefel ruling become a reality at SCOTUS but I fear I might also witness it all being repealed just like how Roe was repealed by the Dobbs decision. We are going backwards and I don't want to see the next generation of our LGBTQ+ community undergo what we experience but it is getting hard. Hate might prevail in the end.
OMG the Jazzagals singing Simply the Best as David and Alexis enter down the aisle. Sweet! Patrick singing Mariah Carey lyrics to David as his vows - you cannot get any more romantic then that on this show. Its oh so tender!
Patrick is such a dream man, i need a full series of him omg.
Yeees!!!
I saw him first! He's miiiiine 😜
I have a fuzzy feeling inside after watching this, love is the most beautiful thing in the world and to find someone who you can love unconditionally without any boundaries is what makes this life so beautiful and to witness such love even in a tv series is such a joy when it is portrayed so authentically and beautifully.
Alankar Joey - you’ve used such beautiful words to describe this. Thank you for sharing them with me. ❤️
Real people with flaws, falling in love. LOVE IT.
The casting of Patrick's parents was fantastic
The moment they introduced Patrick to the show I knew straight away this will be the ultimate love story.
You can just tell from their energy and body language that it was love at first sight ❤️❤️
*Make way for Emmy winners! Fantastic show.*

This video is less than 15 minutes long and I ugly cried three times.
I am African American College Educated Female, this clip made me weep; In REAL LIFE, that is all anyone wants is to be loved and accepted UNCONDITIONALLY. Still crying and watched this several times.
2020 has sucked. From changing routines. To missed everything. Then... my wife says you have to watch this show. So we did. We fell in love with the Roses. We cheered as David found love. We cried when Alexis had to say good bye. 2020 has sucked, but it gave us Schitts creek. Thank you.

A+++ acting, writing in these emotional coming out scenes. I can't believe it- it feels so real.
David and Patrick's love story is one of the most beautiful love stories ever portrayed. Always makes me tear up a little.
We should all be so lucky to have a Patrick who loves all our flaws all the time... 😭😭😭
This was a very special relationship.
I've never cried so many happy tears for any tv show.
Stevie barely holding back tears behind David is so wholesome

I’m just lucky to have been included in this universe for these six seasons and to have been a part of the SC community. And in the last episode I realised I had been falling in love with Patrick Brewer along with David. This is a perfect tv show in a very imperfect world.
My favorite part is when Alexis tells David she loves him, he just grunts/whines as if to say, "Not now! I've got enough on my emotional plate right now!" Been there, David. ;)
We all need Patrick in our life. So beautifully crafted love story, I just hope it happens in real life too.......🥰😍
I found my Patrick :) I plan on proposing to her early next year!
Might be the best love story of all time. Right up there with The Notebook. Dan Levy must be so proud of this.
6:15 Ok but Patrick and stevies reaction to David referring to Patrick as his boyfriend is adorable ❤️
Yup, I love that scene too.
David and Patrick's relationship is everything that I strive for in my own relationship. Truly inspiring, I'm so happy I found this show, bless Dan Levy for making it a reality.

I just finished binge watching the entire series in 3 days and i was balling like a baby in the last two episodes. ive never cried so much at a tv wedding as i did this. Noah was robbed of an Emmy nomination!

So many times I have watched this series, and every time I have a smile ear-to-ear - when I see Patrick and David together. And this video was no different. I think rarely a writer has presented such stark different personalities who are just perfect for each other. I mean for all of us 'David's, we need a Patrick for ourselves. Thank you for putting this video together!

Stevie should surrogate a baby from both david and patrick. I would watch that spin-off for many seasons. If only.....

Moira as a grand-lady because mother isn’t in her wheelhouse would be a dream come true. After all Catherine O’Hara is a comedic goddess deserving of all of it. Between best in show, Orange County and this - her fate is sealed as one of the legends in comedy.
That will likely never happen because Patrick knows that David doesn't want children.
