I think they place a monster only two times face down in the anime, obviously when they are flip monsters... obvious trap is obvious.
@@Beam3178 Normal summoning a monster in face-up defense position is an anime-only rule not presented in the official TCG/OCG. The two are playing by the anime's Battle City rules. In the TCG/OCG master rules, you can only normal summon a monster in face-up attack position or set a monster in face-down defense position.

Japan already does; hololens technology. Something that has been deveolped and in the works for a while. Look it up, there's tournaments that were hosted debuting it, think of as a real life "duel gazer". The images only show up if you wear one and they come fully loaded with autonomous interactions and effects with attacks and the like.

I love how accurate this is to the anime. They were negating attacks with Mirror Force, summoning monsters in face UP defense position, and playing quick play spells from their hands. Great vid 👍
They didn't negate any attack mirror force
1:32 he attacks with Vorce Raider, then his opponent uses Mirror Force, the attack should’ve gone through but still had the monsters destroyed

RinionFilms if that were the case then the card would say negate the attack but it says destroy the monsters when the attack is declared and when an attack is declared, it cannot be stopped

if it say "if your monster is attacked" or "when your monster is attacked" then the attack will be negqted because the attacking monster only declared the attack and didn't reach dmg step
if it say "if/when your monster is destroyed" then the attack goes through
My best friend and I had a Yugioh battle just like this with all the famous lines from the show. He somehow managed to pull the "Heart of the Cards" moment and took out my life points directly despite the fact I had an Obelisk the Tormentor on the field.
Truly an anime moment
That moment when you realise, you were the antagonist of the battle that the main character has to beat.

Hey, Alex! Don’t run off without taking your price! This was an official Battle City duel, that’s why you get your opponent’a rarest card in addition to his locator card. That makes six. You’re now guaranteed a spot in the
Battle City Finals.
And it paid off, this was entertaining as hell!
There are two things that would have made this duel phenomenal:
1) Having another soul speak to the Dark Magician player like Atem to Yugi
2) Editing animations of each monster being summoned and attacking into the video like in Duel Links
This was actually very great quality. All the sound effects and voice overs were great. One suggestion is that when Alex drew his last card, maybe it could’ve showed his hand multiple times while drawing similar to the first episode with Yami
Wow, Alex, this was a pretty cool shoot. I've played yugioh alot when I was a teenager. I still know how to play the game. I bet it was fun to do that. I've always dreamt of doing something like that with a friend of mine. Keep up the good work.
