Top 5 Actual Conspiracies

  • Yes, it seems like the word "conspiracy" is always paired with the word "theory" but, in fact, there are quite a few actual conspiracies with implications that can boggle the mind. Does the U.S. Government kill people for scientific research? Sometimes. Did George Bush's Grandfather help try to install a fascist dictatorship in America? Yup. Did scientology orchestrate the largest ever infiltration of the U.S. government, you betcha!

In regards to the Gunpowder Plot, I must say that Guy Fawkes was actually a big deal. Not because of his role in the plot to blow up Parliament, but because when he was discovered guarding the gunpowder the night before the event was supposed to take place, he was tortured into giving away the plot and his co-conspirators. So, no, he was not crucial to the plot, but his betrayal was what prevent it from actually occurring.

The Tuskegee experiment was actually worse than what you mentioned. The people were coerced into participation by being offered "burial insurance" (i.e., if they died, they were buried, this was actually a very big deal for the people). Also penicillin was discovered 10 years into the experiment and effectively cured syphilis, but the participants were not told about it, not given it, and heck, weren't even told that they had syphilis.

lol, kinda. That movie with Kristen Stewart and Michael Cera (I think) is loosely based off of the actual MK Ultra experiments as well. The CIA were testing ways to create super soldiers, sleeper agents (since the Russians allegedly had them) and overall get the upper hand in the cold war. Completely illegal, unethical, and for the most part, the people had really no clue what they were getting into. The government knew what was going on and while it wasn't openly sanctioned, they didn't do anything to stop it. They've had a few operations like MK Ultra actually - they just make sure to sweep it as far under the rug as possible so everyone eventually forgets about it, and those who don't, look crazy.

You are correct, and as someone else stated, it is indeed part of the Declaration of Independence. Just goes to show what enough money and social status will get you.

    • @SomeDudeOnline
      @SomeDudeOnline Před 7 lety

    • @JimOwnby
      @JimOwnby Před 7 lety +3

For the most part, I would say this is also correct. But it might be more accurate to say that their rights are "different" because it's not all downside. Specifically for Congress, they also get free healthcare, can choose when they get a raise and what that will be and how long a working session is every year. They can also vote for personal gain, regardless of conflicts of interest, legally (for which most other people would be jailed for insider trading, etc.) There are a myriad of other bits and bobs that sweeten the deal for politicians, which is what happens when you get to write the rules that you have to play by. I would guess this is why none of those politicians were ever charged.

I posted this in reply to particular discussion, but will post it here again because that same discussion seems to be repeating over and over again
The last one is true. Absolutely. Also included Henry Ford, or one of his cronies, and other notable 'American Aristocracy' types, some Rockerfella cousins, some Kennedy family connections.. ...something like that. It was known, or, unknown to most, as 'The Businessman's Plot'. It was very simple, the new deal, the regulation of some sectors, deregulation of others, labour friendly laws, and massive public works, govt. regulation on wages and the like... got the 'Industrial' element of 'Military-Industrial Complex' very angry, exploitation and rampant profiteering had made them billionaires.. now that Golden Goose was under threat.
So they went to the Military side of the equation. They DID have reason, in the previous century they're fathers and brothers had made a lot of money, champion the US Govt. in to Military actions, actions which they profited from. Of course, they assumed.. and some will say rightly.. that the highest echelons of the US Military were posts given on political, not military reasons, so might find thanks to nepotism, they'd face less than sympathetic ears.
Instead, the looked for a man of action, a Soldier's Soldier... one who's post wasn't political. One who had the experience and the power to initiate the Fascist coup. They found one in General Smedley Butler.
General Butler was the Commander of the US Army Reserve, and as such, was the only US military commander who might be sympathetic, who had access to, and command of, enough troops to take out the domestic police and security forces, and assume control of the US Army Corps, after detaining his superiors and could put men he trusted in key command positions.
So, they went to Butler. They made their impassioned appeals, greased him up, and ultimately offered him the role of Dictator of Fascist USA. Butler was very receptive. Eagerly digested all they said. Got as much information as possible, and promised he was their man.
Except the choice of General Smedley Butler was possibly the single biggest misjudgment in US political history... in US history at all.
General Butler was about they most loyal... and about the most honourable, ...man they could ever have picked, I guess they missed the fact he was a DOUBLE Medal of Honor recipient. .. and most anti-fascist, anti-corporatist man they could ever hope to meet, he later said, (not Verbatim) "I'd killed Nationalists in The Philippines, Communists in South America, I'd fought revolutionaries in Cuba, all for them.. I guess it finally just made me sick to do it anymore, I'd be damned if I was going to"
General Butler, who regretted many of the above actions and their motives, was for the people.. all the people.. for the US citizen, not the US 1% as they're now known, he was fan of FDR, and his policies, and patriotic believer in the Republic, and Capitalist Republican Democracy, and had grown to loath Fascism. He took absolutely no time at all to front the President, and having nicely played along until they played all their cards, reveal the 'Businessmen's" scheme in full, every I dotted, every T crossed.
Why wasn't anything done? Why wasn't this public knowledge? Why even today is it so little known? Simply put, FDR summoned the men, then sat down in a room, where they were introduced to some Generals, some federal agents, and some local Washington special investigators... told them precisely how they were actually NOT going to remotely try to do anything against the US State, the Govt. there of, or he, the President... instead.. they would support his policies and moves at every turn, without resistance. For their efforts, all the nasty business of their Treason, would go away...and no one would get the electric chair.
Needless to say.. given the... shocking .. alternative.. they played their parts like they were up for Oscars. Of course, with their billions of dollars, massive economic clout, industrial capacities, and political connections.. they were far far more use to the US Govt. the POTUS, and the American people, alive.. but having to endorse policies and agendas they disdained SO MUCH that they were willing to launch a FASCIST COUP... was mostly like, and so much more suitably, a fate worse than death.

jcsv12345 Yep. They still hold their family wealth and positions of power today.
I was wrong about Butler though, he wasn't a General in the Army, but the Marine Corpse. He was in charge of one of the biggest Veteran Militia's not reserves.... but the rest is true.. they saw he was well connected amongst other Veteran Associations, in charge of one of the biggest, and was followed by some ardent and loyal masses, and decided his outstanding war record, his rank, his ability to mobilize men, and his success at taking on the powerful drug lords in... Pennsylvania.. I think... as ... Pittsburgs?... maybe... Organized Crime Tsar.. meant this was the man... he would make the perfect military leader.... their very own Franco... he'd have his own 'Fifth Column'... thanks to his popularity... his veterans and connections inside the Marine Corpse.. would be a match for the Standing US army.. and he'd become the perfect Puppet Fuhrer.
But Butler was also a alutrist, pro-wrking class, openly centre left in political leaning, despised dictatorships... but especially those of a rightwing bent... and really admired FDR for what he perceived as the Presidents attempts to make the lot of the low class and down trodden workers and farmers... the 'meat' as he saw it, of America, and the American military he so loved and served, even if they disagreed on some issues... such as Veterans pensions and entitlements having to mature for 20 yrs.. Butler marched with others on Washington to protest this... but he also calmed the masses of assembled Veterans, addressed them peaceably stood down the protest... because he viewed the Administration at the time in a positive light.
So what did Butler do?> Go right to POTUS... then the Congressional Hearing on the matter.... they found it probably true.. what General Butler was saying... then everything goes silent. But behind the scenes.. it's a fair wager to say... as outlined above... the guilty were... given an opportunity to atone ;)

For the chart of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) google: "Global annual mean temperature deviations eurostat". The graph shows a slower increase in the last 10 years than in the 90s, but the general trend since the mid 60s is significant. There are of course deviations from year to year: We just had a very cold March in Central Europe, since a stable high pressure region over Scandinavia shoveled air from Northern Russia to us, but March 2012 had nearly record-high temperatures.

So alien warlords and are strange but the belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree* is all fine and dandy, eh?
    Sounds totally rational!

Comment Sins: Everything Wrong With This Comment
1: Cosmic? Damn son, where'd'ja find that?
2: Samuli is a dick to jews.
3: Own father? No.. Separate personality. Multi personality disorder is a more fitting insult.
4: Make you live forever? You already live forever. He just makes you live forever away from brimstone.
5: Never said anywhere in the Bible, 4chan version of Christianity made by trolls.
6: Telepathically works, I guess. If you want to shove sci-fi terms around.
7: Implied BDSM. Wording not found in any religious text. This is worth 4 or 5.
12: Doesn't remove, only looks past it. Again, 4chan Christianity is different than real Christianity.
Rib woman is the only accurate part of this that is actually a little weird in context.
13: Talking snake? That's kinda missing the point as to why the snake was talking.
14: Magical tree? Nothing magical about the tree, it was a test to see how obediant humans could be. Said don't eat this fruit. They ate the fruit. Fuck them.
15: No, 4chan Christianity isn't all fine and dandy.

I believe that the Kubark manual references MK Ultra somewhere. If I were a scientist looking into interrogation tactics in the mid-1900's, I would probably be tempted to study some of the things involved in MK Ultra. After taking an interrogation class, I can't say that I blame them - even if it was quite unethical.
