I remember in third grade (about nine or ten years ago) wanting to learn more about history so I turned on the history channel.
Happened to tune into an episode of Ancient Aliens talking about Nazi UFO's and went to school convincing my classmates that the Germans had blueprints for UFOs in the 1930s.

Several years ago, they did an experiment to see if they could communicate solely via vlog for an entire year. They did it, but they had developed such a following that they continue; sharing the bizarre, cool, and funny things they find, their musings as they travel, work, and live, and anything else. Being as Hank is science oriented, and John is liberal arts oriented, they can see the same event from different lenses, think about it differently, and help us think about it in a meaningful way.
Most of those could be Doctor Who plots.

The nazi UFO one was cool, but I'm gonna try and top that.
The nazis had so many nukes that they didn't know how to get rid of them, so they sold them to Russia and the USA, but they still had 10million left, so they sold them to an alien race called the Zaffnogs in return for the US to be destroyed and then the cold war happened, then the Zaffnogs were about to destroy the US until the CIA made a deal with the Zaffnogs that they would not destroy them, in return for them to pretend the aliens didn't exist and conduct operations that the Zaffnogs wanted them to perform.
To continue on, the Zaggnogs wanted to research how to turn humans into aliens so they could take over the world. They did this by putting alien urine into flu shots so that it would be injected into every human. It worked on everyone who had a cousin that owned at least four cats. One of the people turned into an alien was Barak Obama. He is planning to take control of the USA by continuing the Zaffnog research. Unfortunately, Vladimir Putin is trying to stop the war that will surely happen if Obama succeeds. It's only a matter of time until there is a war between the humans and the Zaffnogs.

Does anyone have a successful method for convincing someone who believes in outrageous conspiracy theories to realize that they are just that? I know someone who's completely stubborn and simply won't listen to reason but I feel like there must be some way.
I feel like, a lot of times, the theories cannot easily be disproven, and so thats why people refuse not to believe them (especially when they find certain videos online or convincing pieces of "proof"). i.e. the reptilian one: you would have to literally do tests on someone famous in front of your friend, or something crazy like that.

Also, what's interesting is that the first recorded disc-shaped craft, was developed and subsequently filmed by a Canadian Aviation corporations in 1933. They created disc shaped craft which could, albeit barely; hover above ground, but seemed very difficult to control.
They were bought by the US and were never heard from again and the project was buried.
So either UFOs are man-made craft, or Canada was attempting to reverse-engineer and the company was shut down for doing so. Who knows.
