  • In the vast and dark corners of the galaxy lurk terrifying creatures bred for a singular, chilling purpose: to hunt Jedi
Easily one of the most deadly monsters to the force sensitive were the bone chillingly powerful terentiteks. With a similar resemblance to rancors, these creatures are identifiable for their large jagged spine growths, tusk like projections from their mouths, and massive, highly venomous claws.
Centuries prior to the Republic's emergence, the initial iteration of these formidable abominations emerged on Tython, the ancient homeworld of the Jedi. Their inception was to be born during the Despot War, when Je'daii Master Quan-Jang sought to create a creature capable of detecting explosives, consequently leading to the alchemical creation of terentas. However, these creatures eventually acquired a preference for Force-enriched meat, redirecting their focus towards Force-users. Subsequently, they were relocated to Tython's moon of Bogan, where they roamed the lunar surface wielding furiouseous power.
These fearsome creatures were originally engineered by a sect of Sith dedicated to crafting formidable warbeasts, sometime before the year 16,899 BBY. However, a twist of fate occurred as these menacing creatures turned their aggression towards the Sith Purebloods themselves. Rather than succumbing to their own creation, the Sith Purebloods decided to harness the terentateks as weapons against their adversaries.
The inaugural encounter with a contemporary terentatek unfolded amidst the lush wilderness of Dromund Kaas in the year 4904 BBY, a time when the connection between the terenta and terentateks had faded into oblivion. During an expedition to clear a section of the planet teeming with jungle and aggressive wildlife, the Human Odile Vaiken found herself in a fierce battle against and ultimately triumphed over a modern terentatek.
Crucially, the task of Hunting and consuming Force-sensitives revitalized them, shaking off lethargy as they sensed prey. Withtheir unique ability to detect Force-sensitives like Jedi through the Force, voxyn stood apart from other Yuuzhan Vong creations. Unlike the Force-devoid Yuuzhan Vong species and their creations, voxyn could sense Force-sensitives even if they lessened their presence in the Force, eliminating the possibility of Jedi concealing themselves from these relentless hounds.
Historically, these terrifying abominations were introduced by 27 ABY and infiltrated numerous worlds, from Corellia to Kuat. Often partnered with groups of Yuuzhan Vong warriors, the voxyn scoured planets, moons, and refugee starships like the Nebula Chaser.
In their relentless pursuit, the voxyn proved highly successful, claiming the lives of many Force-sensitives including the Chironian Lusa and the Human Eelysa. The threat escalated with a daring but failed attempt to smuggle voxyn onto the New Republic's capital Coruscant, aiming to unleash havoc upon the Jedi leaders entrenched there.
Unsupringsly, the emergence of this formidable threat caught the attention of the New Jedi Order. Learning that the voxyn queen played a pivotal role in their creation, the Jedi devised a strike team led by Anakin Solo to confront this menace.
    Battle Hydra
Another fearsome creature which often threatened the jedi were the battle hydra’s, a reptilian like creature and product of Sith alchemy. These monsters typically boasted two heads perched on long fluid necks, with yellow slits for eyes which epitomised their predatory nature. Terrifyingly, some variants manifested with even more heads, augmenting their dreadfulness. At their rear the hydras wielding a long, whip-like tail armed with a hooked stinger, a weapon made even more deadly due to it dripping with acidic poison.
    Leviathans
Another monster which was without doubt one of the most horrific creations were the leviathans. They creatures stood as monstrous carnivorous reptiles, conceived as living superweapons to roam battlefields and harvest the life energies of their foes. These horrifying creatures began their lives as serpentine limbless hatchlings and were aggressive from the onset of their birth. As they matured, Leviathans transformed into bipedal behemoths with four forelimbs and jaw-encircling tentacles, their skin tough enough to traverse lava fields unharmed.

The best thing about videos like these is when Jacen Solo and the other offspring of the Skywalker twins are mentioned. There never will be a Ben Solo or Kylo Ren, those names are nothing to true Star Wars fans.

Is it only me or the art of army of Golden Battle hydras resemble King Gidorah?
In that case Jedi should simply make their own battle beasts - Godzilla!

I still don’t understand why the Vong have never been used in the main cannon. They would be perfect for a Jedi enemy and make future movies amazing. But of course Disney are absolutely useless and so we got Ren and Ray . Ughhhhh . Star Wars is lost to us now.

So a tail with a stinger can be poisonous but terentatecs claws are venomous?????? Lol unless it is teeth or a "stinger" which have venom.... It is always poisonous

I still the Leviathan’s were just as if not more terrifying. Just personally my favorite creature from legends.
Just imagining the Jedi and fallen Jedi doing battle with protosabers and then the ground begins to quake, from the ground one of these monstrosities bursts out and let’s put out a ground shaking roar, the battle that seemed like it would be brothers and sisters against one another has now just taken an even darker and more grim turn.
