One of our most loved cities in the world: Amsterdam. We have been to Amsterdam many times before, and every time we leave we find ourselves thinking: let's come back here for a bit and live. The vibe, the city, the people -- there is so much in Amsterdam to love.
Welcome to Amsterdam. We’re over here, and we’re going to try to get over here somewhere. I think the tram is over this way. It’s pretty late, so we’re going to go and find the hostel, and check in, and get some work done before exploring Amsterdam tomorrow. Ok, we’ve just woken up in Amsterdam. And it’s a Beautiful day, beautiful morning. So we’ve decided to rent some bikes for the day and see the city from a more local perspective. We’re going to bike around, check out some of the-I think it’s tulip season right now, so that could be really beautiful. We’re going to bike around the canals, and we’re going to taste some-what are we going to taste? Stroopwafels. Ok so that sounds like fun, so we’re going to spend the day biking around, and I think the bike shop is just over here. We got our bikes, um my seat’s kind of messed up. We found some bikes, and we’re going to go and bike around Amsterdam for a few hours. Yeah, some sturdy bikes here.

One year ago I went alone to Amsterdam to see Pearl Jam for two nights.
People are so friendly, the city is so quiet, beautiful and loved the weather. Reminded me of my hometown, Azores islands. Days I'll never forget.

Amsterdam is a beautiful city with beautiful old buildings. The canals are great too. And bikes are used a lot. I used to live in Amsterdam for a short period, now I'm back in the North. It's really crowded in Amsterdam.
for tourists,First place you should go is dam square. It is centre of city, you will see royal palace,new church(Nieuwe kerk) and madame tussauds. If you follow the road on the left side of madame tussauds,you will reach flower bazaar. If you go opposite direction to royal palace, or behind the nationaal monument, you will reach the 4.area (red light district).There is shop on the road which sell fantasy world products (i mean dragon statue... etc), this shop is a must see. museums are at south
Chillwave mostly these days. Sometimes neofolk, synthpop, military pop... Something more music-like than reggae, mostly. :D
And the Lock made me laugh, very true! I have two of them on my bike haha! Touch wood not been stolen yet :D
stroopwafles are so good, I'm from dutch background and lived off of those on sunday after noons at my oma and opas. I have never been to the netherlands but hope to change that very soon.

Because they have a doctors camp and help sick people over there who don't have enough money to go to a hospital in Tanzania. Also a lot of Dutch people help over there :/ and nobody ask them to they just do it because they are kind people. And also lol I'm not 100% Dutch.. My background dates from Indonesia. Also my moms part of the Family is from England, Canada and Thailand (: oh also there are more then 16 million people now in the Netherlands :B silly

Should have gone for a normal Stroopwafels much better. You can pick them up from a Kiosk just as easy, more affordable.

Ok....now we've established you were riding on the wrong side of the road, lesson 2 : NEVER ride your bike on the sidewalk or you'll be in serious trouble with pedestrians and/or the police. Sidewalks are for walking....just stay on the road and you'll find plenty of designated bike lanes.

you do know, that the dutch didnt run around in africa to catch ppl right? the slaves were sold to the dutch. it was a result of wars between africans, and the dutchies kinda took it to a higher level. Also, this is just a small part of dutch history. you should do your homework before making these statements

I have met a lot of indonesian people who say they adore the western Europe culture and aspecialy the Dutch... i'm very sorry for what happend although it has nothing to do with me anymore because i'm from a total diffrent generation. But revenge is not a good thing. I mean the german killed half of are population but we don't seek revenge, and that happend about the same time of period. Also at school we learn how horrible we where to you guys :/ So we know what we did wrong thanks
