"not bad" is actually a compliment in many parts of the Netherlands. People tend to say so if something isn't their thing, especially in informal situations like these. So "not bad" means you like it.

I love it that you did not just do Amsterdam but saw actually quite a lot! The pink beer is actually Belgian and it is a modern version of a Flemish traditional beer called Kriek. When cherry farmers harvested their tart cherries (krieken) they brew every year their new edition of Kriek. It is usually as strong as Pilsener (4 - 5 %) and because of the fruity taste it is a favorite of many women in Belgium. And yes the taste is not artificial but all fruit.

This video included the most important message for those wanting to visit the Netherlands: Get everything you want on the market where the locals buy. Don't get lured into tourist traps where they sell you fancy chocolate-covered stroopwafels etc. At the market, you can buy them fresh for 1/10 of the price. Stick to the originals. These are the best. All other flavours and add-ons are for tourists. Supermarkets with the 'AH' or 'Jumbo' logo are good spots for buying original Dutch food @ a more modest price (I won't say 'cheap').
And if you think herring is something you need to learn to eat... Try 'labskaus'. That dish on a plate contains (among others) herring, a sunny-side-up fried egg and beetroot...

First of all: kudos to your pronounciation of Dutch words, almost all of them were spot on :) But you explained you have Dutch heritage, so maybe you have a slight advantage there. Secondly: you did more Dutch things in a holiday than I do in a year as a Dutchman :) I don't think you missed many experiences. I was especially impressed by the family trying drop - whenever I have my American inlaws try some, the results are funny but not positive ;)
One thing I think is very Dutch and I'm not sure you did, is take a bike on the train, just go somewhere and bike there. I love that combination, it offers such flexibility. And it's so impressive and funny to see visitors do this - once met a really nice Indian family who said "we put all of us on bikes, and we just take the train and then bike. It's awesome!" I loved that because you can go to small villages and hidden bike paths in the countryside that way.
In general, great vlog, fun to see people enjoy my quirky country :) I always say "it's flat here, there's grass, cows, stupid windmills and smelly tulips here. Why do you like it?!", so it's great to see this. I always feel deflated when driving back home from a vacation in Italy...
Oh and I think the "special clouds" are formed because we are right on the edge of water and sea, and apparently the air currents are very specific here and the turbulence causes the odd shapes. But I'm no expert.

If you really wanna surprise your fam with an amazing boatride you should go to 's Hertogenbosch and take the boatride on the small river in the city there, it will take you UNDERNEATH the houses and you'll be literally going THROUGH the old city wall
It might even be nice to have your family from the Netherlands come along, because I wouldn't be surprised if they also didn't do this boat tour before
And if you really go to 's Hertogenbosch (also known as Den Bosch) don't forget to try some Bossche bollen, the best ones would be from Banketbakkerij Jan de Groot

It’s all relative of course though. My aunt in Holland would say “we think things are old here and then we go visit Egypt…”. How would I explain Europe - like a fairytale! Everything seems so neat and quaint and much more organized and efficient. But that’s indicative of the land and space and history right? We’ve had room to spread out and be lazy here! Boat rides in the canal is a tourist thing more, Dutch people generally don't use those boats at all.
Feeding the cows is something I wouldn't recommend doing without the farmers consent and presence. This because if you panic, the cows can chase you which could lead with you getting hurt. The farmer knows his animals the best, so with him there there is a much less chance on accidents. Also, the feeding part itself is not accepted by all farmers for various reasons. Make sure you follow the farmer's instructions.
The tail thing is not the same as that of a dog, it's to slap away the flies.
If you want to get inside a mill, you should visit on the saturday mornings, specially the single mills will open their doors for FREE entry and the miller can tell you about the mill itself. They love to have visitors over and tell about the mills, so it would be a real shame if you didn't. And then without the protection cases, just the real mill and what should be inside it.
I would advice to visit other provinces the next time, all you seen now is the more famous locations which is a shame as it doesn't really show much of the country. A great location would be the Zuiderzee Museum (south sea museum), This museum is open air and indoors. It shows the country from around the year 1900. Really worthy to visit for the entire day so please make sure you sleep in the city for 2 days as you will be needing it. Arrive the day before your visit to the museum, and leave the day after it. You can even dress up in old clothing from the period to make photo's which would make a great addition to the memories for later!
Another tip would be the Frisian coast line. From Enkhuizen, where the previous mentioned museum is at, you can take the boat to the other side which takes you to Stavoren in Friesland. You can then cycle along the dijk (dam) all the way to the afsluitdijk if you like to do that. Including seeing small villages and 3 of which even have city rights (Stavoren, Hindeloopen and Workum). It would make a excellent day if you do this in early summer. Make sure you have enough time to reach Harlingen where you can take another ferry to one of the islands. This route has some really old buildings and in some you could even visit and take photo's. All the places you go trough are pretty small but the land in between is pretty stretched out where you can see how flat the country really is.
