It is a much better idea to visit Skadarlia ("Bohemian street") after nine in the evening in summer because then it goes alive and vibrant, and is full of people and music. It is pretty bland and uninteresting at day, without the typical atmosphere and far from what it really is. And the security was saying "you can use only this (camera), not this (tripod)" and repeating it several times showing at the same time with his hands. How on earth you thought he was saying "gun"? You must have been fed on some ill-meaning and prejudiced stuff beforehand for a reason. You need to do this city justice next time. Just relax and take it in and you will enjoy it more than you expected. And, yes, normally you don't dip burek in yoghurt. :-)

Not at all against complimenting the beautiful and unique city of Latvia (or any other city for that matter), but for the sake of a fare and honest perspective, other than merely praising its lovely architecture and all the friendly and approachable the local croud is, in my opinion (and what I conceive it would be also in honor to their dignity) they might as well at least get a glimpse of the Latvians current social reality, which by the way is so evident it couldn't escape to the most inconspicuous visitor's eye... The "Españoles en el Mundo" (Spaniards around the World) like format of this grim video is so overly-vanilla it seems out of an amusement park-style production. Just pathetic.

The problem is that those "security" guys could learn couple English words, or somebody should print some pamphlet so tourist can understand this tripod shit...
