Välkommen till Stockholm, Sverige, mitt hemland. Låt oss gå checka in. We’re in Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden. We’re going to start the morning by exploring Gamla Stan, the old part of town. Gamla Stan is where Stockholm was founded in 1252, and in the 18th and 19th century it was considered a bit of a slum where no one really wanted to be. But today, it’s one of the most popular and beautiful tourist attractions in Stockholm. It’s really cute here as well. Let’s go and have a look around.
During the Europe Train Challenge, we’ve gone to so many old towns, but Gamla Stan here in Stockholm is still my favorite. It’s so cute, it’s so cozy, and it’s so quiet. I love it. It’s also kind of weird because it’s about 10 o’clock in the morning, and there are not many people about at all. It’s a Monday morning, there’s no tourists, the shops aren’t open, it’s kind of strange. It’s kinda strange. Jag är svensk. Jag en viking. Jag är svensk. Pretty cool, huh? Apparently this is the narrowest street in Stockholm. Pretty long too. We’re having a quick break before checking out the changing of the guard at 12 o’clock, so we bought a few traditional Swedish snacks. Yeah. We bought some kanelbullar. Swedish cinnamon buns, and-you can have that one-and also knäckebröd, Swedish sort of crispbread with honey in it.
We’re at the Royal Palace. It’s one of the largest royal palaces in Europe where the royal family still lives. We just checked out the changing of the guard-well, we checked out the changing of the guard with a music show. I’ve never seen soldiers walking around, marching around all serious-looking with Abba in the background. It’s kind of funny, and it’s very Swedish. Now we’re going to go and visit one of the islands. What I love most about the city is that it’s surrounded by water. Stockholm is situated on 14 islands which makes it really easy to get away from the city. I mean I can see the palace over there, and the parliament, and museums, and right across the bridge I have this beautiful park where I can just relax and hang out. I think it’s perfect. We’ve had a great day in Stockholm. It’s been really fun, it’s such a cute city. Yeah, it’s really cute. Tomorrow we’re off to Finland ( • Helsinki, Finland: As ... ).

Went to Stockholm in November but was only for a concert. Had very little money, no idea and wasn't able to do much, still loved the place! Would love to go back again!

Come have a look for yourself :) In the summer we have plenty of places to take an afternoon swim, right in the middle of town. And during winter, you can go skating on the ice. The largest races across natural ice takes place along an old viking route between Uppsala and Stockholm, the Vikingarännet. Naturally swedes love to be outdoors, and when you have these good conditions to have fun year around, its eacy to stay fit and find new friends.. See ya!

FYI: The Royal Palace is the de facto official residence of the Swedish Monarch. So, it doesn't really matter where they actually hang their hat. Is like Qeen Elizabeth II whose official residence is Buckingham Palace, but we all know she doesn't even spend 50% of the year there. The Swedish royal family also have other residences. So, I know what you're saying, but tehnically, they are not wrong. It's all down to fact, baby!

Also, it's 'The Royal Palace'.. not 'royal castle'. Although, yes, the bulding itself is a castle.
Besides, they didn't say "the King and Queen of Sweden lives at the Royal Palace". Some of the members of the Royal Family have lived at, and sometimes still do stay at, the Royal Palace, though. Carl Philip lived there for a while, for instance. As did Princess Lilian.

Actually, the royal family doesn´t live in the royal castle in Stockholm city! The king and the queen lives in Drottningholm Castle, just outside Stockholm!

Personally I think Europe is the most exciting continent in the way that we are NOT at all like each other, still we get a long well.
Ok, but I still hear him say: "it´s one of the biggest royal palaces in Europe, where the royal family still lives", and not what you just wrote! Even if they spend a night there once in a while, I don´t think you can say that they LIVE there. . for those who don´t know anything about it, it´s a bit misleadingly. . but that´s my opinion!

Swedish people are so beautiful! Both men and women. And peacefull, friendly. And the language is also beautiful to listen to and her the talking it sounds like you sing when you talk. I think that you are quite wrong, the Scandinavian nations eg. are some of the oldest nations there are in the world, much older than countries as the UK or France for eg. I mostly think that your opinion and opinions like yours are much based on ignorance.
