  • I show you what I did to restore a Vintage 60's Autolite 289 distributor, and convert it for modern use to be compatible with a modern hydraulic roller camshaft. I also show you some tips and tuning tricks on how to optimize it for some better performance.
    Mr Gasket advance curve springs for Ford distributors. part # 925D $9
    Pertronix Ignitor electronic ignition conversion. part # 1281 $106 (Man, I remember the first one I bought back in 1996 was $54. but it's still working.)
    The bad distributor gears that do not fit: WARNING do not buy!

    Excellent job, me too always fine tuning the curve and vacuum! ( boss302 and boss 429)(69 Charger532)

      Thank you. I miss my distributor machine. Way easier to curve a distributor on the bench vs the time and aggrivation of doing it over the fender of a hot engine bay. My run stand makes the job somewhat reasonable in comparison.
