  • If you like listening to an American V8 engine fire up and running while I perform some tuning duties on a newly installed carburetor, then this video is for you.
I'm a die hard Holley carb fan, but circumstances have me removing the little 600cfm 4160 off this 302 in favor of a new Edelbrock AVS2 650cfm unit. I gotta say, this is the first Edelbrock carb that has impressed me. I have had my fair share of playing with them in the past and have never been a fan. This is the first AVS2 I've handled and if this is how they all perform, hats-off to Edelbrock for refining its design after so many years of me calling them Edelboggs.
We also tackle a few other fixes to the run stand. Show you some GT40 heads that I'm working on, and we finish by BSing about some of our other projects.

maybe those 3 bar were from a ford lightning with the larger head bolts?

All early GT40 heads were 1/2 inch head bolt holes. Even 5.0 Cobras had them but used stepped head bolts.
