    Buyers beware: I am on my second MX Master 3S, and it suffers from a manufacturing defect. The silent clicks feel amazing...while they last. Once you've used your mouse for a bit, the left click button will start feeling different. While much more silent than your usual mouse, both the feel and noise will not be the same as when you bought it.
    There's reddit threads describing the issue, and since I had two with the same problem, I'm guessing it's inherent to the design.

    I have used the MX Master 3 for the last year or two and I love it. I use it on my laptop for basic use and light MMO gaming. I love my G502, but now that I work from home I needed a mouse that will work on my work laptop and home desktop at the same time to save space. This has been a great mouse. I got a second mouse, the MX Master 3S because I wanted to keep my original MX Master 3 for my laptop. While the MX Master 3S is fine, there is something off about it to me. The scroll wheel has less tactile feedback so I find it continues to scroll without me realizing. The quiet clicks are fine for work but I like the tactile feedback of the clicks when I am gaming. Utility wise I just prefer the MX Master 3 and purchased a second one because it seems to have been discontinued. If the idea of quiet works for you, go for it. But if you want something feels a bit more quality, spring for the 3 while it's still available, you wont regret it.

    • @MrRvalentin

      The Logitech MX Master 3S has a design error. The left button plastic is too big and not well supported on bottom. So, after 1 year, after selecting text and moving mouse (as selecting text on a web page) the click loose and selection stops at half of the page. Also, random clicks work 9/10. After more than 20 years of Logitech products, I will NOT purchase anything from them. Already write them with the issue, and I sugest all of people that have this problem must inform Logitech. Like this they may be able to correct the issue and fire the man (team) that make this poor design. But this will never happend, that's why I will use other products.

    But does the new 3S solve the zoom wheel delayed response that the 3 suffered from. It's the ONLY reason I sent my 3 back and went back to 2S. I use CAD and graphics software all day, and that split-second delay makes it totally unusable. It's also unforgivable in such an expensive professional-level mouse when an Amazon £10 basic wireless mouse doesn't have these issues.

    Great for reading documents because of the awesome mouse wheel. Although, there are things that a normal mouse wheel does better too, like zooming in CAD-work for example. (Several controlled bursts being better than one "send" from which you don't know where you'll end up.) However, as a pointing device it is simply: Crap. I have degraded mine to "laptop mouse" in favour of my Steelseries Prime Wireless. I can send that thing to the other end of my ultrawide with an effortless swing, and I don't even have to think about lifting it up and placing it down elsewhere to adjust pointer position vs. hand position. Lifting up and adjusting, or even just flicking around the MX, is clunky, slow and not nice due to the weight. The sensor is unaccurate, and what's more, the shape isn't actually ergonomic compared to a classic EC2 ergo shape. That's a completely different (and much better) experience than it was using the MX Master. I just didn't realize the grass was greener on the gaming mouse side, because the MX Master was such a "premium" hyped up product

    @AZRV
    Your CONs (....But is it really?)
    Con 1:
    1.) While USB-C has almost no performance or usability downside over USB-A receiver, there are 2 likely reasons why USB-As were still preferred;
    Most computers/laptops all over the globe haven't adopted incorporating USB-C ports on them. I mean just take a look around your own office or general school computers. How about other users from other countries? Why would Logitech potentially create a barrier for themselves in the event a consumer wishes to purchase their new product but end up choosing some others because their device has no USB-C port yet and have to purchase a new adapter port just to get the mouse?
    2.) It is considerably lower cost as of now (Yes. Even though evidently, the direction for all electronics manufacturer is to phase out the use of USB-A, it is still going to have to take awhile)
    Con 2:
    Polling Rate - Poll...what??? C'mon. You want a gaming mouse or a mouse meant for work? Make up your mind. For that amount and you're branding a con for its poor polling rate as compared to a gaming mouse when the design team did not set it nor market it to be a gaming mouse? If you think adding the dual-functionality of increased polling rate for user by a switch function is that easy, I think you should start a company to compete against them then. I'll bet you'd be the new market leader if you can do that AND maintain the cost.
    Con 3:
    You want a mouse at Price X with a comfortable right-hand grip or a symmetrical mouse that doesn't sit well under your palm? Do you want a comfortable, durable, productive mouse for work at Price X that's only sold in a right-handed grip design or do you prefer to be paying X + Y with Y being the additional cost it takes them to split up the manufacturing process for MX Master 3S just to produce a separate left-hand grip design for less than 10% of the potential buyers in the market???
    I can assure you that Y amount is definitely not going to be less 10% the cost of X. Which means to say, basically, if you're a right-handed person like most, you'll now have to pay $Y (a hidden cost that you won't know) more just so that logitech can produce a small portion to cater to the approximately 10% of its potential users. When I say 10%, I actually am being generous here because let's not forget the ambidextrous (in terms of use of mouse).
    Onboard memory? I can assure you that based on its past designs and sales & market research, Logitech, being a capitalist profit-maximising firm, has learnt who exactly are the ones who are going to buy the new MX model and I can assure you that they aren't generic clerical workers because no firm would invest in a specific mouse to increase productivity unless it was a deliberate and extensive employee initiative.
    Also, name me another mouse in the market that's able to allow a user to customize its button functions right down to the specific app itself AND require no onboard memory? That productive functionality itself IS a main selling point of this model and one of the main reasons why its designers built for. So if your work computer can't process an installation of a functional mouse program and hold onboard memory for future usage, then is it really a CON of the product or the reviewer being a nick-picker when the product was not design or built to please him/her in the first place?
    All in all, I guess what I'm trying to say is..JUST GET THE FREAKING MOUSE DAMNIT.
    I've been using Logitech MX series for ages....I've had many gaming mice and they always come and go but more often than not, I only retire my MX mouse when a new one with much better specs enters the market and not because the current one is spoilt.

    It isn't Type-C because all devices with exclusively Type-C don't need a receiver, but use Bluetooth instead.
    And it has a low polling rate because this is not a gaming mouse by any means. It's just terrible for that regardless of the polling rate.

    Scrolling issue where it stops responding to scroll events mid-scroll if repeat-scrolling too fast makes this a total worthless mouse.

    Both good mice but the rubberized plastic sucks totally! I hate it, after 3 years it peals off, feals and looks bad. (I same can be noticed on the used one in this video). This happens with all equipment/electronics cases made with this kind material. For example microsoft sculp mouse (it has rubber elements) also degrades after few years. Same with my Akai MPC Thouch... damn this material sucks badly! Please stop making expensive equipment/electronics with this material!

    DON'T BUY THIS. The mouse broke after a year, the right mouse button stopped working. Logitech does NOT want to repair the expensive mouse, so the service center claims that it was flooded

    USB C for mouse? Really ? You are out the reality. All mices should use normal USB 3.0 instead of this temp type-c and other not test by time connectors.

    Wow, that is a seriously biased comparison, you only gave benefits of the MX master 3s, over the MX Master 3. And completely ignored the MX Master 3, focusing only on the MX Master 3s..... that's not a comparison that's just your BIASED OPINIONS. And you used that as an excuse to talk about the MX master 3s, but let's be real.... it's a downgrade, and its defective.

    • @AZRVTECH
      @AZRVTECH  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Why downgrade? And why it is defective ?

    • @extremelypuppy
      @extremelypuppy Před 11 měsíci

      @@AZRVTECH I apologize for making you wait, and i need to clarify something, everyone is biased, your biased, im biased, my neighbors pet squirrel is biased.
      That's because we have lived different lives, and experienced different things, had different teachers, different families, as well as different genders, and ages. So being biased also means being unique, so don't feel upset about being biased, its natural.... The only ones who are not biased are dead.
      Ok as for why the MX Master 3s is a downgrade: besides the connectivity issues, the clicks are softer and sound mushy just hearing it makes me queasy(This is the biased part). But that ties into the defect. Over time your clicks will become mushy, and fail at a much higher rate.
      Logitech and other companies tried using these switches in the past. But they gave up because of the absurdly high failure rate(more like 300% RMA rates). Logitech supposedly fixed the issue, but you cannot fix an issue that is the core of the design. You would need to completely scrap the design and start over. but they are using the same switches with with just a little bit of modifications.
      There is a chance that they may have mitigated some of the problem.... but it is a massively flawed design. And no matter how much Logitech says they new switches, they are not.
      Thank you for taking the time to read this.

      @@extremelypuppy Honestly your first message sounded really crass and angry, im glad you clarified with this insightful opinion. This helps, I personally love quiter clicks since I work at night and the click is insanely annoying on my 3, i was considering the 3s literally just for this, mine has also gotten sticky as many mention is normal after 3 years which i was considering getting a skin for to fix. I appreciate your feedback I definately dont want a failing click button even if its quiter which is actually what im looking for

    the 3s is horrible, bought it, used it for 10 minutes and hated it. When you click its like there is no feedback, feels like the distance it moves when u click is so insignificant that it feels like u havent clicked. its simply terrible. returned it and got the non s - love it, best mouse have ever used.
