    What's up Ahntourage? Today we're looking at the new Razer Pro Click, which is Razer's attempt to compete in the home office ergonomic setup space. They co-designed this with Human Scale. At $100, how does it compare to the well received Logitech MX Master 3? I put them head to head in this review and there is one clear winner. Let's get Ahnest!

    Great review! Thanks for mentioning the scroll issue. It's bizzare how rarely it's brought up. I got MX Master 3s mouse 2 days ago, without knowing about the wheel issue and having read only positive opinions about it and the first thing I noticed was the imprecise scrolling. I tried 2 days to get to love this mouse but I just can't, I am gonna return it soon.

      Same here. I am using MX Master 3S with my mac m1 pro,
      1-Lag issue
      2-Scrolling is awful. Especially on some apps, it's just stopping working.
      I am not recommending this 3S Mac version to anyone, please do your search and get a decent mouse. Yes, it's so ergonomic but it's not enough to give 100$
      Anyone has a suggestion to buy a new mouse?

    Good review from the final user point of view, I have my doubs about MXM3 ergonomics, but after you video I think is meant to force the wrist to keep aligned with the hand and not rest it in the table as an ordinary mouse.

    • @JammyBriton
      @JammyBriton Před 3 lety +3

      Ideally in an ergonomic sense your arm shouldn't be on the table but supported by the arm rests of your chair. The more horizontal/level your arm (and lined up wrist) the better. (While maintaining the 'proper' sitting position)
      Your wrist should usually be lined up with your arm (neutral wrist position) especially over longer time periods. Any mouse that doesn't encourage this position just don't use.
      Size and weight is also important and varies depending on the user (as well as use) and need to be considered!

    Awesome video, i'm still on the G700/s, got a few. I can't change because I absolutely love the shape and side button config, which is so underrated imo. The shape of the buttons have a peak so you make minimal contact with them, like they aren't even there.
    The razer click is just their first attempt at grabbing the mx master market, not even subtly. Hopefully they improve with the next versions.

      Pretty hard to find G700/s these days but if you like this kind of shape, worth looking for.
      It took me well over a year before I fully utilised all the buttons on my G700s. What makes it so good imo - having next/previous tab as well as back/forward. Makes browsing so much easier.
      These days mice either have 2 side buttons or 10000. I just want 4.

    I’m considering the MX3 for my MacBook Pro to replace Apple’s Magic Mouse. The Magic Mouse has TERRIBLE battery life (2xAA batteries) and a replacement would have to support side scrolling for Final Cut Pro X. Based on what I’ve seen on other videos, the MX3 does that. Also, I heard that the MX3 can use 3 different computer “profiles”, so you can easily use it on different machines.

    @mamba109 Před 3 lety +9

    10:30 That's not about quality control. You can spend $1,000 on the highest quality mouse pad, but if it's white, then it will discolor. And it's not about dirty hands or washing them regularly. That's just your palm constantly releasing oils. Oils + white don't mix. No amount of QC will ever fix that unless that material has some oleophobic coating, and even that will wear out. You can say the same about darker colors and blacks - the oils will make them glossy and shiny. I mean just look at your black keycaps.
    It's not a knock on the company or the product, or how cheap the material is. If you ever buy white peripherals/accessories, just know that it will discolor, period.

    Great comparison/video review! I have a Razer Deathadder 2013 and a Logitech MX3 - and it looks like Razer was trying to blend the look and feel of their gaming mice with some ergo features. Razer trying to be a 'master-of-none' here with tapping into the ergo-mouse world, but keeping it's gaming roots - which put it in a category that may not appeal to anyone...Ahnestly :p
    The one major thing Razer still has going for it is the weight (even though I actually prefer the weight of MX3 for day-to-day projects) and its DPI adjuster/polling rate (which are much higher than the MX3 - which is capped at 90hz). Logi continues to hold down that professional mouse/ergo with the smart-shift, body shape and the 'mag-shift' wheel. I always miss it when I switch to my Razer mouse (wired)

    Even with large hands, your comment is accurate that the MX3 feels like your hand is taking a ride vs. being in control. I found the overall position of the MX3 unnatural and I had constant issues with accidental right clicking due to the slope and low resistance from the buttons. The tiniest amount of pressure to hold or move the mouse would result in unintended right clicks. I decided to return it and now I'm back to the drawing board looking for a new mouse.

I am a CAD software user, and I am jumping (a lot) between different apps so having multiple profiles (that can be stored in the internal memory) and programmable buttons is essential for me. I also love speed scroll feature - is there anything similar in the market?

    Using MX Master 3 for a month, this review nails it. (My old mouse is a G9 mouse)
    - the scroll wheel is not good, its like building an ABS in your mouse, very bad when you want to stop, it still give a half scroll on the page with reduce speed. This happen to both magspeed setting.
    - the scroll is very loose, you may end up many accident extra zoom in/out on apps. You thought the wheel has stop, but its still scrolling. So after you scroll, type in a command in an app, then the app or other app register an extra command cause the spinning is still happening.
    - The scroll wheel is too large in radius, the travel distant from right click to middle wheel feels uncomfortable ( if you have small hand or used to small travel distant). Second reason is the right click button is sliding down in design, making the wheel have a big gap from the click button.
    - IF you want precisian, not the mouse for you. My very old G9 is better that this. (not gaming)
    Planning to buy a new mouse,
    - ergonomic shape, price around this range, infinite scroll, good drag/dpi response.

With the Logitech Mx Master's you really are getting a productivity focused mouse with a bunch of extra features. So I feel like if you are looking for a producitivity mouse, go with the Mx Master 3 and if you don't really need those features, just go for a wireless gaming mouse like the Viper Ultimate, Deathadder V2 Pro, or even Basilisk if you really want the ergonomics. Reviewers never seems to mention the serious issues with the Logitech MX master 3 (or in general Logitech for Mac OSX) when it comes to the accompanying software. If you look through Apple user forums you will see tons of complaints about how buggy that software is. I have had two Logitech high end mouses and both developed really weird issues with respect to Left Click funtions seemingly associated with the sofware.
    With both mouses, when doing a leftg click and then attempting to drag an object, the cursor woud disconnect from the object momentarily and then reconnect on whatever the cursor came in contact with, or even worse, sometimes, the left click function would change completely, causing weird things to happen like scrolling the screen to another desktop, or trying to close another open app. If you were dragging a file from one folder to another in FInder and it happened, it would drop the file yuo were dragging into an unknown folder, and you'd have to do a system wide search to figure out which folder it was hiding it!
    It was horrible! At first I thought it was mecnaical and the left click button was failing, but when I used a tester app, the click function was fine...until you started to drag the cursor and then it would disconnect for a second and then reconnect. It quickly becasme apparent the left click was working fine until you started to drag the cursor.
    Uninstalling the software promptly fixed the issue for a while, but then even after unintsally the software, the problem would not go away! Logitech tech support claimed no knowledge of this when I contacted them, but it is very well known in the forums! That was back when I had a Logitech G700S. A year later when I decided to try the MX Master 2s, thinking it might use different software, the same issue developed after several months!
    And now that I am upgrading to a MacBook Pro with M1 chip I am reading about all sorts of issues The MX-Master 3s is having with it! Logitech still claims no knowlege of ANY issues with the Master series, so I am done with Logittech...for ever! COnsdiering the exorbitant price of this mouse, I think buyers are entitled to software that works without issues, and alittle bit of honestly from Logitech on the flaws, instead of claiming all is fine!
    And I also have to say that I am really annoyed with all the reviewers on CZcams touting this mouse as the "holy grail" completely overlooking the technical issues that are well documented in countless Apple user forums!

      @junechevalier Před 5 měsíci

      Reddit is also a chokeful of complaints regarding MX Master 3. Especially the jittery cursor that jumps around. For a $100 mouse that's pretty unacceptable. But whenever I see reviewer videos, tech youtubers, etc. they always praise the mouse and it's on every techtuber's desk. I'm considering the Pro Click as I hear it has lower latency. I'm working with 3D softwares with so many buttons and a slight nudge or jitter might end up a disaster, so cursor precision is a big deal for me.

      My g900 suffered from double click on the back mouse button. I got a g pro ultra light recently and it is ridiculously light and I love it but I REALLY miss the free scroll feature. I wish logitcj would put that on a more updated gaming mouse.
