David Wallace is probably the most likable upper management executive of all time.

Agreed!
Great job by the writing team of not making him a cliche soulless backstabbing monster.

Lmao if your kid called and it turned out to be one of your coworkers that would be so weird lmao
Austin Patton “Stephanie can you hop off please”
What the Hell!
They never did show his daughter.
David Wallace was such a good side character. I don't think Buckley gets enough credit for how insanely well he played the role. When he's on screen, it brings the show back down to Earth and makes you feel like Dunder Mifflin is a real business, which I think was very important for the show.
very well put
Yep 100% well said
that is very true
Tbf Buckley himself is a businessman, so he really knows what he's doing.
Easily one of the best
I love how Michael was the normal one during the "suck it" pitch
I havent laughed this hard in a long time. Micheal was so creeped out by David Wallace.
I think Wallace got the last laugh tho.

Ended up being a multimillion dollar idea.
The most patient man on television...
The actor who player David Wallace was brilliant. He looked and acted like a genuine executive.
Your mom was an executive
Well he did go to Stanford
He was in the other guys. His character committed suicide on that and that was a hilarious scene.
In real life he was a stock broker!
totally, he reminds me of my brother in law lol
The most patient man on television
😂
For real though😂
David knew Michael's branch would crash and burn without him
Half a decade old joke my man
What about that time he lashed out on ryan for coming back, it was a deleted scene but still happend
Sad fact: David Wallace never shares a conversation with Creed Bratton.
Creed was probably hiding from him
David would be weirded out by him and walk away
Omg they're the same person
i’m convinced creed wasn’t legitimately employed and if he talked to david then he would’ve found out
@@Papa-Squat
I knew it!
David Wallace's realistic corporate portrayal stems from the fact that the actor Andy Buckley is actually a real life executive in a financial advisory firm who moonlighted as an actor on the side. He deserves every bit of recognition for this fantastic portrayal as a CFO
Really?!
Fantastic portrayal of himself is not really noteworthy.

I love how he is always kinda nice to Michael because he KNOWS that Michael’s branch is the highest selling branch
Lmao for real like he has to deal with it
That is why he can put up with all of these.
That's how it goes with businesses like that. If you are one of the best in sales then corporate will tolerate plenty lmao

I think he also genuinely likes him even though Michael exasperates him a lot of the time. The time when Jan tried to sue the company Michael realized Jan was being crazy part way through the lawsuit and supported the company in the end, and David thanked him for it later
Seeing David Wallace without a job is one of the saddest things I have ever seen on television. But atleast that time off gave the world "Suck It".
Exactly hahah. I forgot who bought it off of him for 20 million was worth the company merging
Erick Hernandez I think the Military bought it off of him

@@sagegross3571 bold of you to think Michael would pay that even if he had millions.

Thanks, guys.
David wallace is the most realistic person on this show and i love him for it
I would say Daryl is pretty realistic
you could argue he’s unrealistic because of how long he puts up with michael and dwight
Lyon the one video that pops into my head that counters that is Darryl running angrily at Jim and then falling onto the table of food
Squiggy I think the only reason why David Wallace put up with them was that first of all, Dwight had an amazing sales record. Second of all, the Scranton branch overall was doing pretty good in sales so David Wallace probably got the impression that Micheal was the reason why and that he was doing something right. That’s why in season 5 episode 12, “The Duel,” Micheal was called in because his branch was reporting strong sales numbers while all the branches were struggling.
Lyon not as realistic though. He’s probably second.
“May God guide you in your quest”

He was the most patient, kind, and sensible person in the show.
He was more of a patient asshole. He also said michael was never seriously considered for jan's job. And also when michael was planning his 15 year anniversary party and charles was going to ruin it david wallace wouldnt pick up the phone or return his calls after 15 years of loyalty to the company which then lead michael to quit. David Wallace is hands down the most wholesome person on this show. Seems to be a great father and husband. His wife's concern for him when he lost his job seems pure. A great boss. Always so patient, especially to someone like Michael lol. He's the one who really paid much attention to Jim's potential to be more than a salesman. Capable of admitting his mistake (said sorry to Dwight personally when it turns out that the golden ticket idea was a good one). Has a good relationship with his subordinates. "The Office" was his second job. He was a full-time stockbroker with Merrill Lynch, one of the largest financial institutions in the world. While shooting the scene where he's buying out the Michael Scott Paper Co., was the weekend that Wall Street was collapsing, leading to the Great Recession. In between shots, he was on the phone with deep-pocket investors, trying to assure them that Merrill Lynch wasn't about to go under.
