  • Yes you can make lasagna. in the Ninja Foodi Grill! With a few adjustments and instruction you can make lasagna in yourNinja Foodi Grill! I'll take you step by step on how to do this.
    This did take 55 minutes but we think its because we didn't use. a spoon that was heavy enough o. weigh down the aluminum foil and it was sucks d up a bit in the fan. So. I would make sure you have a heavy enough spoon on top of the aluminum foil to weigh it down so it doesn't get sucked in the fan. But tell us what you think in the comment section. I. would. check for donees at the 35 minute mark and go from there. Also I usually use Barilla noodles they are a bit thinner than the Ronzoni noodles. But I will be making another lasagna in a few weeks and will be trying this using the Barilla noodles.

    Ninja Foodi Grill Lasagna
    1/2 pound hamburger/ground beef
    1/2 pound Italian sausage
    1/4 tsp. italian seasoning
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    16 oz. ricotta cheese
    2. eggs
    1/4-1/2 tsp. kosher salt
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1 Tbsp dried parsley
    1/4 tsp. garlic
    1/2 tsp italian. seasoning
    1 -1 1/2. cups. mozzarella shredded
    24 oz spaghetti sauce

    If you place a large piece of foil down and place your pan on to, then bring it up and fold at the top, whenever you check it for doneness, you won't have to worry about tucking it underneath. I learned that the hard way. Still hot but easier to fold back up.

    I know this is a long video but it is a step by step video and the suggestions and techniques used to make this in you r Ninja Foodi Grill. As I explained in the description-this one took 55 minutes. We think it is because we didn't use the original heavy/3 oz spoon to weigh down aluminum foil. This is a very important step.     I LOVE your videos so I watched this one even though I do not have a Ninja Foodi Grill and I really do not want one. I love the Ninja Foodi and do not feel the need for the grill. But as I said, LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! KEEP THEM ROLLING!

    I have a Pro Grill with probe and just wanted to give a suggestion. I made meat balls last night and baked them for 12 @ 350 and they came out great. What I am suggesting is the Pro Grill can do the meat, in the Pro Grill just make meat ball and bake and then crumble them into the lasagna, we do not need to use two other items. I am going to make lasagna in my Pro Grill when my baking pan arrives. I am happy to see how you do it. I have learned some good ideas from your channel.

    Great effort to find out a solution, tried it once, it cooked very nice on the top and crispy cheese but not well cooked pasta even used the fresh lasagne sheets. Classic oven so much less hassle :-)

    Thank you so much for this and other recipes for the NF Grill. I have the Walmart version without the dehydrate mode and it is difficult to find recipes that don’t use that function. Unless it is a grill only. Please expand your recipes to include baking sweets as well. Cheers 🥂

    I made it today Xmas eve. Watched this video a week ago but should've watched it again b4 making it because I forgot about the foil and the spoon. The top was black by the time I looked at the video again. But it was soooo good. Palmini low carb noodles and Rao's Marinara sauce with pepperoni's and 3different cheeses.

    I never use those lasagna pasta sheets. I buy the old fashioned lasagna pasta and boil them through. I taste a huge difference plus the pasta is tender and I don’t ever skip this step. Another tip is make lasagna roll ups in sauce. So much easier to cook and cook in sauce. You can bake lots and it freezes very well. The lasagna you made is not easy to transfer to a serving plate. It’s a mess at best and as a party of one, I love to batch cook and just have portions of homemade food. Healthier and easier.

    You have convinced me Lisa, I think I may get one of these machines. Couldn't you put 2 spoons on this to keep the foil on and stop it billowing up? Could you cook a whole turkey in the ninja foodi grill?

    add a bit of water to the sauce. The noodles even though pre cooked it needs water to rehydrate them. I thought they may have dried when put in. Or soak them pre layering. Maybe 1-4 to 1/2 c water. I make my own noodles now (Italian don't you know) but I always precooked when I did not to about semi soft.....this looks sooooooooooo good.

      I was wondering the same thing. I’ve done stuffed shells with almost the exact same ingredients, and they DEFinitely need some extra water. Soaking them sounds like a good suggestion too.

    Hi Lisa he's an update on using fresh pasta sheets soak them in hot water for a few minutes then make the lasagne up as normal I baked it uncovered in the foodi grill at a lower temp 170 for about 20 mins it was delicious 👍😀

      I use my grill most days now and love it but I've found if I lower the temp by 10 or even 20 deg from ninja suggested temps and timings I am getting better results

    Hi Lisa how long would you cook it for if you were using fresh pasta ?

      I have not found any info online and wanted to try it. But I would think you would have to boil it on sear/saute. But....maybe doing pressure LO for "0" minutes. I will have to either make some or pick some up and try. Thanks Christine!

      Fresh pasta cooks quicker than dry, hope that’s helpful, so less time I would think.

      The Ninja Foodi is more versatile as it is a Pressure cooker and air crisper. The Ninja Foodi Grill cannot Pressure cook. Of course the Foodi can’t do everything that a traditional is able to do but it can do a lot. I bake bread in my Foodi.
      Me personally if I could only choose one I would choose the Ninja Foodi. Thanks Rita Burton!

      I. never use my stove. to. cook anymore-I did use it the last few weekends to can-apple pie filling, tomatoes, potatoes, etc...

    Ninja foodi grill has a griddle you can cook meats on. You should consider stepping up your recipes with fresh herbs.

      yess you can will have to add on to the cook time. Usually 5-10 minutes but keep tract. towards the end. Thanks Lisa L!

      I don’t like foil touching the sauce as it’s acidic. I have had it “melt” into the sauce before. Just a personal preference. Thanks Jo Hertel!

      There is a new pressure air fryer from the Asian chef Yan, but I thought it looked clumsy. Instead of a separate pressure lid, it had a pressure piece that attaches to the air fryer lid and then seals when that is closed. I guess that’s great if you are going to put it up on a shelf and want all the pieces to fit together where you can find them when you bring it down. But even Yan struggled getting them together to work when he was demonstrating it. Uh, no thanks dude.

    I would take this exact recipe, leave out the pasta and just drop that sauce over some chicken tenders. Would it be the same recipe for eggplant too? What about some yellow squash?

      Hi 7heRedBaron-I use this same sauce mixture for zucchini boats, I will spiaralize zucchini and summer squash. and AC a few minutes then pour this meat sauce over top, you can exchange the pasta for. eggplant, zucchini, cabbage(my favorite) to make lasagna. Oh and stuffed peppers.

    What size pan?

      Hi Loueen, its the Ninja Foodi round pan-just measured it 8 1/4 inches round. You could use an 8 inch it will probably filled to you or you could use a 9 inch pan. Thank Loueen!
