after watching lot of youtube,first time, i understand call/sell and buy/put by one diagram/picture.thank you very much
another "pearl of wisdom". Many newbies get confused about the terms "call" and "put" and what they mean. I think this is because they look at options as something they purchase. These terms actually are defined from an option sellers perspective.
When you sell an option, you get paid to give the buyer of the option the right to do something to you. If you sell a "put" option, you give someone the right to "put" (make you take) the underlying security to you... If you sell a "call" option, you are giving some one the right to "call away" (take away} the underlying security from you. Hope this helps people understand where the terms come from. (GL)

Will m1 finance b better? I have that & acorns. With acorns, after i get $1000 from dividends, round-ups, bonuses, etc., i contemplate a rollover from acorns 2 chase youinvest (i have accounts in chase that’s why).
@@midniteryder_3-16 Acorns is high fee. Vanguard or Charles Schwab for IRA and Public for short term are my go tos.
@@midniteryder_3-16 M1 Finance is great for IRAs. Acorns fees make them bad, and their aggressive portfolio underperforms.
Try SoFi or Fidelity for a taxable account.

I have been with robinhood for 3 years now and I have never had any issues with them. There the reason I open up a roth ira with vanguard. I have lot of dividend paying stocks and growth stocks. I don't do much option trading but I have made money on it. I really don't take high risk with investing. Its very easy to use when it comes to tax season. It loads up my forms to turbo tax very easy. I will continue to buy on that platform .

Note: Expiring worthless call options can still be automatically executed by the broker if it is above the strike price even by a penny because the price of the underlining security is NOT the only ingredient in determining the option price.
There's definitely a learning curve with TOS, but they have hella free videos. Hang in there, learn, and it will all be worth it. Great video!
