Barbara is so relatable. She never lost that with all the money she worked so hard to accumulate. That’s a blessing.
She was so incredible in person too - one of the very few people I've met who is truly the same on camera as off camera!
I had the worst parents. It made me stronger. I had no one to rely on but myself. Made me stronger.
wow!!
We didn’t have supportive parents either and we are immigrants! I have two sisters that moved out at 14 and 16 yo. One is very successful (20mill range, 14 yo). I think it was due to my mother always saying she wouldn’t make anything out of herself. The other did exactly what mom did. Same place of employment, spends money which she doesn’t have. Just like mom! Myself and litter sister did pretty well too! In rental business (own), sister owns gym. She does personal training which she is always booked and has to turn people away. She has hired other trainers to take her overflow, while working on getting theirs off the ground. Nice to have a waiting list.
Stronger for what precisely?
Same here 😔 Most of the people who are successful don't always realize what a strong foundation is to have good supportive and loving parents in order to become a successful and independent person. If you came from a poor background and had a difficult childhood and you manage to create your own business or success you should be so proud of yourself because you have really done it all on your own. This is someone to really admire.
Very inspiring. I'm starting over after divorce at 64. Barbara gave me a sense that I might have a talent I can use to make this next life chapter better than I imagined.
I might be too!
Barbara is such a humble person and Erika is a great host, lawyers always know the right questions to ask 🤣
She is so amazing! Really appreciated her humility as well - I’m glad you can see it in the video too
Both Erika and Barbara are such an inspiration. They started small and look at where they are today!
She really is an inspiration!
I love Barbara’s perspectives, she’s honestly so smart, and probably someone great to work with. Thanks for the interview Erika!
Barbara I love that shirt. I hope you interview her again. She’s amazing. Blunt and honest. “The curse of a learning disability is if you can get over it you have gotten really good at failure. You grow up and knowing what failure is about.” I’ve never thought about it that way. That statement truly impacted me. A statement I will never forget. I’ll have to get Tic Tock now hahahaha “You just have to make a fool of yourself”. Barbara, I want to be like you when I grow up.
Wonderful talk! To get my first professional job I offered to work for free just to get some training, while still working 2 other part time jobs. That was the consequence of letting the wrong guy choose me and daring to walk around with a big belly at the age of 16, and then having to support both he and my child. My mishap and consequence therefore drove me, for like you Barbara, I was insulted by family stating they were surprised to see me even graduate. (I now have a handsome son, a beautiful DIL and 5 grandchildren and a second-chance husband of almost 30 years.) I learned anything and everything I could at any job to gain knowledge and to make myself indispensable. Now I’m basically debt free, earn a good living, have a solid asset & retirement portfolio. But I’ve also learned the importance of sewing into the kingdom and helping others, for you always reap what you sew. It’s important to give back. (I could go on and on…..) Thank you Lord! I love real. I love relatable. I have grown from this talk and you have confirmed something for me Barbara. Thank you both for sewing into my life. So much respect for you. Can’t imagine any haters coming against either of you. Hugs 🤗
What a fabulous human! I had no idea how interesting and inspiring Barbara is. I loved every story and listened to each minute. I love her perspective on leading and encouraging folx to do what they are good at, helping to grow their best skills. So nice to hear her honesty about parenting and her own finances!
Honestly success is the best revenge! After I got my second divorce I got a good job, bought a house and a new car!
It's amazing what you can accomplish when we get motivated! 👏💅
Good to see a different side of Shark Tank Barbara. She's one of the good ones. Love that she showed up in your podcast and supporting women entrepreneurship.
I love Barbara she's an inspiration for any woman wanting to start their own business
Shes an inspiration for both men and women. Not many are this determined
I love this so much! GREAT job Erika! I took 1500 and starting a 25 million dollar business a year - in 6 years. My business was then acquired for 8 figures by the age of 29! It was worth the grind!
Maybe you should be interviewed.
That is amazing! I would love to see your story on the show too. Erica should interview you, I agree!
I love how down to earth and real she is.
I really appreciate what a respectful interviewer you are.
Thank God this channel was recommended to me by youtube. Love the conversation between barbara and erica. Got goosebumps when barbara said " you are stronger than you think you are". Thank you to both of you for giving me hope in this crazy life of mine. ❤
Wow, what an inspiring story! Barbara Corcoran's journey is a true testament to the power of hard work, determination, and smart investing. Her success is a reminder that it's never too late to start building wealth and creating the life you want. Thank you for sharing this video!
Yes :D Such a good a message! Thank you for watching!
Really appreciate this Erika! Shout out to Barbara she's such a cool person and I love her story 🙏
Same!!
Soo cool! I so identify myself with Barbara in many ways.
Made me cry when she said she doesn’t invest in rich kids. I’ve been thinking to myself so much that I have a long road to catch up only getting to the level where the rich kids start and this has gave me some validation to accept my situation.
O'leary did and it turned out alright lmao
That was such an inspiring interview. You both had such great chemistry. I feel like I learnt a lot. Especially about the power of not giving up on yourself!
I really appreciate that she said find something you're good at, rather than find your passion. These could definitely intersect and overlap, but what you're good at could fund your passion (it might not be the case that a passion can be turned into a means of making money).
Barbara is real. She never puts on airs. I liked her on Shark Tank but I wasn’t sure why. Now I know why. She is real. Her comment that being in business isn’t about the money but about building a team and seeing how far you can go together touched me. I also thought that her comment was really more about who Barbara is than anything else. She would be cool, IMO, even if she weren’t as “successful” as she is.
Wow this interview was amazing shes incredible it made me emotional about that burning ambition coming from nothing and wanting to make it hit me. What great advice shes so relatable and humble!!!
I didn’t know much about her, but her story is very similar to mine (minus the millions 😂). I wasn’t just cheated on, but had an attempt on my life. Had a husband who always said I’m stupid, you’re nothing without me blablabla… that only gives me the courage to live on and move on. I am definitely stronger than I ever thought I’d be. I actually thank for everything that happened to me. You only know how strong and capable you are when there’s no alternative left.
Excellent interview!! You’re so relaxed, so prepared, and you seem to be enjoying your guest! I’m subscribing and anxious to watch your next video!!
I’m always interested in individuals who came from nothing and become wealthy in life.
Some change when riches arrives however Barbara has remained balanced and she’s proud of her achievements as she should be. 🙏🏼🌟✨💃🏻👍🏼
I love this eposide!! So inspirational and full of great advice! Thank you for sharing!
EXCELLENT INTERVIEW ERICA!! ONE THING YOU DO SO WELL IS YOU LET YOUR GUESTS TALK ! YOU LET THEM TELL THERE STORY AND DONT STOP THEM IN MID SENTENCE TO ASK SOME OTHER UNRELATED GIBBERISH LIKE SOOO MANY TALK HOSTS DO!! ..I ENJOY AND TRY TO LEARN FROM YOU DAILY . THANK YOU ERIKA
Admirable business woman with her head over her shoulders!
I really enjoyed this interview great job Erica and Barbara was awesome so down to earth and relatable.
Barbara is so down to earth, its refreshing. I really enjoyed listening to what she had to say. Thanks for this.

Way to GO Erika 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I Love to watch Barbara , You ladies are Amazing ❤❤❤
This interview was worth listening. Learning and sticking to one thing that becomes one passion is key toward betterment.
You are so likeable Barbara Corcoran because you are so real. Your stories bring life down to Earth, and make it understandable.
I will definitely be watching this again. So many great nuggets that can be helpful to me as an entrepreneur. Thank you Erika and Barbara!
Barbara invested in a restaurant (on Shark Tank) in Alexandria, Virginia not far from where the new Amazon headquarters is located. I had worked especially hard one week so went there to end the work week and was disappointed when I learned that she no longer supported the restaurant but that she did continue supporting their barbecue sauce. The impression that was given is that her investment money was being used to open other restaurants which was not part of the original deal. Barbara is exceptionally bright and did the correct thing. Please don't let a bankrupt education system tell you otherwise, Barbara !!!
Wonderful interview. You alouded Barbara to talk, which was great. Many other people do interviews and talk over the person being interviewed and not really aloud them to answer the questions. Thank you, that was a lovely interview.
Finding success on the heels of failure...that's an important statement that I will take with me going forward. As an Attorney, a woman and an entrepreneur, dealing with failure has always been my greatest challenge. Excellent podcast. Blessings.
Absolutely love this...I especially love how she loves her parents and gives them credit...bravo👏👏👏
Amazing interview, great questions and candid responses. Two powerful women. 💪🏻

Thank you Erika! Great questions and so inspiring!! Thank you Barbara for being so open, and willing to share! Hearing about your struggles and success is such motivation!
Great interview! I love how real and NYC honest Barbara is. It's definitely fuel to keep u moving forward.
Today is the first time that I actually sat, watched and listened intently to your podcast, Erica. You are very entertaining and have interesting guests, but Barbara Corcoran is absolutely magnetic. Ms Corcoran is so relatable to the everyday person . She instantly draws you into her world ,; from childhood to her successful life. I wish that I was young again to enjoy the trials and tribulations and have her confidence. I laughed out loud as I picture a confident person wearing a brand new coat!
Great podcast Erica. Congratulations to you.
This interview had impact and your questioning was great as you unearthed gems. Great Job!
Honest real genuine and warm. Thank you both. ❤
Everyone has a gift. Yes everyone has something to contribute to a team! I have led teams and I empower each person to grow their talents even when they don’t think they have nothing to offer. It energizes me when the newer member of the team takes the newbie under their wing because they have grown in their confidence and skill set!
I relate to Barb! She is so wise and her values seem so human! A.great interview! Barbara is my kind of friend!
Exactly what I needed to hear today. ❤️thank you.
Incredible interview thank you for having Barbara on your show!
My rough childhood (school mostly) was also the reason I did everything in my power to as successful as I am today. Insult was a great motivator for me too, Barbara. Thank you for sharing your story
Fantastic episode.
I really enjoyed how your questions flowed naturally. You seem to balance asking questions you had prepared while also playing off the conversation and diving deeper on certain topics. I didn't feel like you had a list of 15 questions you wanted to just read off a checklist.
Thanks again and looking forward to more interviews.
Thank you!! I'm so happy you noticed. I usually try to prepare just the first question and then let the conversation flow, otherwise I find that instead of truly listening I'm just thinking about which question on a list I have to ask next.
@@Erika2 That makes sense and the difference shows. Well done.
So happy you moved this to the main channel! Love it
Such a Great Interview! Thank you Erika for making a, "podcast channel" so all of us can be educated!
Thank you lovely podcast. Blessings
God I love Barbara! She is such a gorgeous, real, witty, and lovely lady! Thank you Erika for bringing her on your show!
Wow! This was fantastic! Thank you, Erika!🎉
Great interview. Thank you and you did an excellent job! Well done...
Amazing interview! Thank you both so very much!
Love Barbara! She is so real and kind.
You hit it out of the park, again.
Knowing that others, who we respect, have made it through storms, and, from them, found the strength and insight, to success, is encouraging.
Thanks Erika. I don’t know Shark Tank because I don’t have TV. But I saw a short video of a CZcamsr touring her apartment. And so the algorithm presented this interview. I’ll look for episodes of it later to see what I can glean.
I relate to her starting from a large working class family , working from age 13. My father called me the entrepreneur which is a memory I cherish.
Barbara mentioned it’s not about the money so much anymore- and I would like to recommend a book I read recently. Title: From Strength to Strength. The description of it on Amazon is terrible but don’t let that deter anyone. I’m nowhere near retiring but it was full of things for people of all ages to consider and prepare for. Some of it is about sharing the wisdom that comes from experience.
I hope Barbara will talk more about how we can better ourselves and our lives. I know how to work hard and I do it-but not smart. For example-How do you find trustworthy people to teach us how to work on the “paperwork” of our businesses?
Best wishes to both of you.
WOW...WHAT AN AMAZING WOMEN!! I LEARNED ALOT ABOUT MYSELF FROM HEARING BARBARA'S INCREDIBLE STORY. I HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO !! THANK YOU
I'm 70 and I agree with Barbara, I've admired her for years , not for her wealth but for her grit and for her philosophy regarding her business strategy.Of course let's just say wealth never herts
