- All my patterns can be purchased from Lindshandmade.com. This pattern also includes SVG files as well as an A0 file for projector use or to take to a print shop. In this video I am making the entire wallet on my domestic sewing machine, a Juki TL 2000qi. If you're a beginner, this pattern is perfect for you! You'll want to stick with waterproof or water-resistant canvas for your first one as those materials I have found to be the most domestic machine friendly. When working with the trim pieces for the ID window and main body interior in the video I mistakenly refer to them as “bias strips” which is inaccurate since they are not cut on the bias nor are they double fold bias strips as my mind thinks they are. Sorry about the confusion.

😎
THIS is my all time favorite wallet! Thank you!
Oh wow! What an amazing compliment! I’m so glad you love it!
Such easy sew for gifts…love it
Totally!
I did use the awl to peel the tape and it worked. Right now making a wallet out of cork. First time using cork. Love this wallet pattern!
That is awesome!
I'm so excited to make this! Your patterns and tutorials are always awesome!
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻
I'm so excited to make one! Love your patterns and tutorials.
Thank you!
Yaaaaaaah! A wallet that guys can use! Thanks!
I just want to say I love everything you do….everything! Great vid!
Thank you so much!
I have already sewn 3 of these wallets - for my children. With great success! Thanks! Hana
That makes me so happy to hear!
Thanks for your great video 😊
I love this. Thank you.
Excellent video. Thank you!
So glad you like it! 🥰
Just cute! And fast! The hardest part was getting those mitered folds in the corners! 🤣🤣🤣
Truly! But actually it looks totally fine just folded over flat too! Don’t be afraid to try that method if it gives you too much trouble in the future.
Love this wallet, but I have trouble with mitered corners too. Made one in faux leather and the corners look awful. The rest of it looks good.
I had to order this one right away! Perfect for the guys (and girls) in my life!
Yay! Thank you!
@@LindsHandmadeDesigns just finished my first one!
One question: on page 7, when adding the velcro to the exterior, should it say right side up? It says 1) Place the main body exterior wrong side up…. I almost sewed it on the wrong side, but I was watching your tutorial and noticed you sewed the velcro (soft side) with the exterior right sides up.
Yikes! I just checked and that was totally missed. Yes it should be RIGHT side up 🤦🏼♀️.
@@LindsHandmadeDesigns I think people will realize it has to be on the right side. 💜 Just finished my second one; it’s fun to sew!!!
Super cute , I can’t afford to buy the pattern so I’m gonna wing it lol
Oooo! I like that 🎉
Thank you!
Thank u so much
Hi. Thanks for such a great pattern and a better tutorial. I'd like to do it for my grandson with # 20 plastic snaps. Do you recommend these or should I use the metal ones just as you did in your video? Thanks.
Hmm I’ve never tried plastic snaps on this wallet but I think they should work just fine.
I want to find the attachment to sew in to attach a chain to wallet. The Amazon link had no picture so I don’t know what I’d be ordering. Do you have another link?
Could I flip the coin and id parts placement and then sew my money zipper compartment to open from left to right? Thank you,Jan
Go for it!
🙏from 🇮🇳 👌👌i stitch wallet thank you❤
I got the double side tape, but I have an extremely hard time peeling it. Any advice?
Do you have a sharp tool like an awl you could use to help get it started?
Love this! What weight leather did you use on your leather wallet?
It was about 2.5 Oz if I had to take a guess and I did skive the edges and trim/accent pieces to keep the bulk down.
What width velcro is needed? Thanks Hana
3/4” wide. I show all the materials needed in the listing description on my website.
I bought some Waterproof canvas but I wouldn't say it is totally non-fraying. What should I look for when I purchase WP canvas? I usually have to purchase online because no stores around me sell it.
You can quickly pass a flame along the edges to heat seal it and you should still be able to use it.
@@LindsHandmadeDesigns thanks
May i ask which sewing machine was used in this video?
Juki TL 2000qi
How long is the chain? I want to make one for my nephew but all the chains I have are 47”.
Actually I had a chain I believe I got from Tandy leather that I split in two for our Halloween Ashley clutches to sit in the crook of our arm. I’m not sure they’re actually sold this size.
Oh! Ok. Thank you.
I just googled wallet chain and they appear to be between 24 and 36”
Lindsay is that your twin sister?
