      Long story short: my city is extremely humid and hot (I live in brazil) and mold is a very serious problem in the entire town. My PC had broken and I hadn't used it (or the headset) in a long time.. I had cleaned the earmuffs with alcohol before putting it aside, and i tried to keep it in a ventilated area, but mold still got to it because it was affecting multiple furniture in my house. I was able to clean everything with this guide and I will keep doing my best to keep everything mold free around my house!

    So I did what you showed to my turtle beach 700 gen 2 max pads. I mixed it in with 2 pot pans though. Luke warm (mixed with soap) & temperate water. Hand rinsed them or dipped them while finger pressing them. Then taking them out and handing pressing them again only to then fully dip rinse them in the temperate water. Then thoroughly finger pressed them through a towel. Then I started Hanging them on a plastic hanger on a door handle with only the heat of one of my unheated rooms while hanging off of a hanger gently put on of course.

    Thank you very much for this video. I was wondering, are the ear cup cushion things on your headset foam or leatherette? I ask because my headset is a Logitech G432 and it has leatherette ear cushion things, but the black shiny stuff on the outside is wearing off and whenever I take my headset off it usually leaves little black particles around my ears from the ear cushions. I couldn't really tell if the ones on your headset are made of something different (since yours are blue and mine are black) or if yours were leatherette and all the shiny stuff already wore off. Also, how long does it usually take for the ear cups to dry once you finish washing them? And are the ear hinges breaking a common issue with Logitech G430 headsets? The right ear hinge part is broken on my headset and I had to duct tape it to the headband part. I thought it might just be from me being a bit too rough with my headset but if it's a common thing with these headsets then I'd bet the issue is more with the headset itself.

      Just don't tumble them dry when you squeeze the water out while cleaning and, instead, compress them from both sides, so you don't stress that synthetic leather too much.

      I've seen a videos about the Astros A10, and the pads seems to have a sticker and they're attached directly to the plastic. You can take them off and wash them, sure, but I have no idea how you'd put them back :/

    • @VRavTech
      @VRavTech  Před 2 lety

      @@SJ_GamingTV maybe yes? Remember, there's electronics under the plastic, so be careful to not make any water go into that. If you wanna be extra careful, leave them out to dry for longer. Remember that water doesn't kill electronic on itself, it's electricity + water that is fatal...that said, still, try your best to avoid water going in places it shouldn't

      If you have the old astro A10, unfortunately, they're held in place with a sticker. You need to find a way to replace said sticker if you want to clean them with this method. You can see someone take it off in this video. czcams.com/video/N_TzOkJMP_Q/video.html
      As bad as it sounds, I don't think astro ever intended you to clean the pads, and just want you to buy more pads and replace them rather than clean them. I'm sorry but it's just what it is
