I was guided up Pyramid Peak at about my age of 16-17 by our Stanford Hill (Fallen Leaf Lake) neighbor, Professor Cooper (of U.C. David) on the same trip that we summited Ralston Peak. I don't recall the Class 3 boulders but that was some 64 years ago. I do recall seeing when we reach the top or nearby the top that there was a relatively simple trail coming up the western side of the peak that appeared to involve less rock (or less boulders).

I was scared I’d need more equipment but after watching your video I know what I’ll need to conquer this hike mid June 😊

Now that is what I call a view, absolutely stunning. A 4K feet assent is some going but nice if you can hike in the shade, on such a sunny day, as the heat always drains me. The last half mile looked particularly challenging, so superb effort getting to the summit. I love the fact you can record your achievement at the top and I also love the views from the top as well! Cheers Alan

Thank you, Alan! It will be a while to see those blue skies again... California fires are terrible now.. 😥

That is definitely on my list for next year. Since I came back from my JMT hike three weeks ago, I've been being lazy. Lol I'm assuming this was earlier this year since the water was flowing good and no smoke in the distance. What a great view. You're a rock star, but a hiking version. 🏔
