I lived in South Lake Tahoe in the late 70s. I fell in love with the place. I visit now and then. I spend a lot of time picking up after people. It's heart breaking.

There need to be littering citations like traffic tickets and they should be strictly reinforced as well. That should take care of the grownups.
As for kinds, I wish they can cane them like in Singapore but that will never happen. Make them do community services and pick up trash. That will teach them something.
What the hell is with that, I have not been back since the 70s, but people throw trash every were, and there are trash cans 4 ft away? Santa Monica, Malibu, trash ever were, ft from trash cans? WTF
yep it is heart breaking all the people here putting trash in the lake it is very sad
We used to go a lot when I lived in the SF Bay Area and my dad had a cabin up there, but with the way things are now (garbage, hoards of tourists, traffic, pollution, expensive) I have no interest in going back.
@@timpenfield5 We don’t make it financially painful enough when caught.
I'm from Australia and Lake Tahoe is one of my favourite places in the world.
Yes to all that commented on keeping the beaches and lake clean. Why is it so hard to pack up your garbage and either take back out with you or find a garbage can? Happy I found this channel today!
Ngl I clicked on this to judge your choices since I’ve grown up in Tahoe
All of these were pretty good choices though so hats off to you my dude
Thanks! Helping us to plan a trip! I appreciate the fact that you just kept your video BASIC and didn't ramble on for 5 mins about each location. Super practical, simple, and helped narrow down the spots to visit in less than 10mins. Cheers!
I lived there in my twenties and still miss it like. I'm 53 now and I am sure much has changed. Going back soon 🌲
Glad to call this place home❤️
AH! Tahoe! My favorite place on Earth!! ❤ Don't live there now, but I grew up in the area and can't wait to go back for a visit the end of this month.
I love this passionate presentation of Lake Tahoe with all major attractions and their locations in a clockwise route. It is especially helpful to me as I am not familiar to the names and the locations of many spots. Great presentation !
So thankful for you making this video! This is how landmark and travel videos should be made. Short, concise, informative and right to the point! I copied and pasted your info on all these locations into a notepad and I feel much more comfortable at least getting a general idea of knowing my way around Lake Tahoe and what to expect. Thanks so much!
Exactly my thoughts 👍
Taylor Creek, next to the Tallac Historic Site, is a nice area to visit and you can see the salmon running in the fall. It has easy trails to walk along the creek and out to the shores of Lake Tahoe, along with a National Forest Service visitor center with helpful rangers.
I moved there in 1970 and didn't leave til 1999 when I just got too tired to keep shoveling snow. I don't even recognize it now but it is still a beautiful and magical spot. I miss it every day.
I’ve been going camping here and snowboarding since I was a little kid.
Angora Lakes are another beautiful place to visit up in the mountains past fallen leaf lake. Beautiful lakes, but very cold all the time, with cliff jumps at 30’ 50’ and almost 60’ feet.
Yall can clean up the beach after yall leave
Touche....
Seriously
Nobody says y’all in the West coast! Your not from Tahoe baby.
After last year's 4th, our beaches were destroyed. People make me sick
@@garyjimenez6250 😂🤣😂
Kayaking in emerald bay and hiking up to the tea place has to be the best for me. It's cheap to do, easy waters, and the view from up there is amazing
Base Camp Pizza is another excellent place to eat in South Lake Tahoe. Tasted especially good after a day on the slopes of Heavenly.
Ya that is a great spot as well, prob my favorite in that village area!
Yes! Best chicken curry pizza 😋
Agreed!!! Love basecamp pizza, they have live music which is always so nice !
YES!!! The best pizza everywhere
Agreed
Lake Tahoe is heavenly beautiful!!! Thank you for all the ideas. We’re lucky that you like waterfalls lol, you get to share amazing footage with us.
Thanks for the comment, I want to visit every waterfall in the state!

We are spending a week in this area and your information has been extremely valuable to us. Thank you!
I live in South Lake Tahoe and have gone around the Lake throughout the summer when I was younger. I love seeing where I live and how beautiful it is. I do recommend if you *REALLY* love pizza I recommend Base Camp in the Heavenly Village.
Great...native SF love Tahoe - 80's skier - Las Vegas Summerlin past 20 yrs and super happy here!
I am a born and raised 22 year local of South Lake Tahoe. Please..take care of my home. The reason all of these places are busy is because of their beauty. Leave them beautiful.
Great vid California Through My Lens, you literally do all my pre-trip research for me. So grateful 🙌🏽
Awesome video! I love Tahoe. Makes me want to go back ASAP!
Great video. I love Lake Tahoe. I make a few trips to MacDuff's every time I'm in South Lake Tahoe. Two things to order there is their Shepherd's Pie and their fried fish plate of haddock. Also, Sonny's Bar-B-Que is very good and I always like to experience Fire & Ice Mongolian grill in Heavenly Village. And at Kings Beach I usually stop at The Grid Bar & Grill. It's something of a dive, but it's my kind of dive.
You are such a great narrator. Great voice. Articulate. Short reviews with good pics.
I visited Lake Tahoe in the summer and winter, when I lived in Sacramento. Beautiful place! Awesome video!
Spent wonderful summers at Camp Richardson, family favorite was the Swiss Chalet for dinner. Can’t wait for Tahoe to open up
Sue Ruppel , it’s open!!!!
What is Swiss Chalet ?

Súper bonito todo y la vista muy impresionante al atardecer.
I really enjoy your videos and I had no idea that there are so many places to visit in Tahoe...now my bucket list has 17 more places to visit!...Thank you for sharing......it is really a breathtaking spot in California!
Thanks for the video. I grew up on the north side of Tahoe and although I’ve been to South Lake Tahoe plenty of times, It seems I still have many places to explore. I’ll be looking into a few of these hiking spots this summer.
I have been there in 2019. Unforgettable trip in my life!
Beautiful!
Thank you for this beautiful video😍
Thank you so much for this video. My Fiance and I get getting married later in the year and are hoping to spend our honeymoon at Lake Tahoe. This has given us so many ideas and we can't wait.
Thanks! So excited to see South Lake Tahoe. It will be on my visiting 🙏❤️
Headed there next weekend for a week of skiing and snow hiking. Love Tahoe!
Great video Josh. I've hiked the Rubicon Trail, thanks to another of your videos. How nice it is to have the lake in my back yard. Looking forward to your next adventure.
That is awesome, I wish I lived closer to Lake Tahoe!
This was a great informative video! Thank you. I loved how you kept it short and to the point. I wish everyone made videos this way. My family is headed to Lake Tahoe for the first time and this is super helpful.
Artemis Lakefront Cafe. My first experience with calamari on ca. Coast wasn’t good but the way they serve it here.... amazing!
Eagle Rock on the Westshore is a great short hike with awesome views.
We went to South Lake Tahoe last week and took the gondola ride. It was an amazing experience! Worth the $$$
Eagle Rock Hiking Trail is a quick 30 minute hike with awesome views looking towards Nevada. Chimney Beach is pretty cool too. Awesome video.
Both great recommendations, thanks for sharing them. I have been to Chimney Beach before and it is awesome.
Love Tahoe, lived there for 10 yrs, all my boys were born there. Just went in March it was beautiful with hardly anyone there

Lived in Tahoe 16 years missing it!! Thank you for this 😊😍
Thank you!!!! Looking forward to visiting!
Wow! This is an awesome video with some great travel tips, thanks👍
Just went last week. Naked Sushi is the best!!! There is an Indian place near by that is also awesome. We went to Crystal Peak, which was a VERY ROUGH drive. Super Rough. Rock lovers would like it though. Then went to Donner lake. Tahoe is absolutely gorgeous!!
Mcduffs is one of my favorite spots. It’s one of the few places you can get Pliny the Elder on tap. Glen alpine falls and fallen leaf lake is my wife’s favorite lake. It sure would be awesome to stay in one of those houses facing the lake on that tiny one lane road. We used you’re Tahoe video from a few years ago as guide for our first trip up there. Great recommendations.
Oh man I didn't know that they have Pliney often, that is good to know. I agree it would be fun to stay in one of those houses near Fallen leaf Lake but it would not be as fun to drive in there every day haha.
Impressive list. I'm looking forward to checking out some or all of these places and taking some great photographs!
Absolutely beautiful...
Awesome! Thanks for sharing 🙏
We lived in Minden, NV, and a short drive up Hwy 50, at the 28 was Spooner Lake. From Spooner you access North Canyon, and the trail head to the Flume Trail. Highly recommend.

The scenery at Lake Tahoe looks gorgeous . If I ever get to visit there, your suggestions will be very helpful. Thank you. I live in Australia
The half-day cruise to Thunderbird Lodge
is awesome, the M.S. Dixie paddleboat excursion, and horseback riding--both on the California side and the Nevada side. We always go to Sno-Flake for ice cream, and Scusa Italian Ristorante is amazing!
LMMFAO

Just came back from Tahoe and wished I saw your video first. Next time I’m going to check out all your recommendations. Thank you.
Found this video and subscribed immediately. You're amazing at your job! Thank you 🙏🏼
While in Tahoe, everyone who has an adventurous side should go for a hot air balloon ride. The balloon actually takes off and lands on a boat. Spectacular!!
Can you tell me what company does this? Sounds awesome!
…what company info plz tanX

Wow...cool channel we moved to northern Cali. Almost 2 years and we love travelling to lake Tahoe so thanks for all the beautiful info. 😍🙌
A couple of my favorites are, The Beacon, by Richardson’s Camp and Revive! The Beacon has a beautiful beach and patio where they used to play music and I love their Bloody Marry!!! They have their own mix and it’s fabulous!!! Revive is a great peaceful place to do just that...revive! Kick back, relax with a coffee, tea or beer & like I always say to, “Revive at Revive”!lol! 😁
The RUMRUNNERS!
Thanks for the info! Your content is great!!
Great! We’ll be there this Monday!
Very beautiful!
Your videos are great for those that don't like big city life. Thanks...You got a new subscriber.
AWESOME!!! Can't wait to get back up to Tahoe and spend a few days hitting each spot!
LOVE THE MAP! like seeing where each location is at on the map, great addition.
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback, I tried to make it a more easy to follow video with a clockwise rotation around the lake
Orchid Thai, Base Camp Pizza and Sno Flake Drive in (burgers and shakes) all in South Lake Tahoe!!
Awesome list!
Taylor Creek nature center is a great little place to go if you have kids. Used to be one of the highlights of our stay when we'd visit Tahoe for a week each year in my youth.
Wow, a great video. Thanks.
My cousins, aunt, and I are going to Lake Tahoe next June I’m so excited thank you for the suggestions
Hanna Hall rn as I’m driving to Lake Tahoe (I live in USA California.) it is my first time going there, but I hope you have a good trip on your way there :)
I still don’t get why it’s a turist attraction it’s probably that I live here and was born here in Lake Tahoe I could just walk down to the beach rn
Thank you for sharing... lovely video.😊
