- Let's go on an Adventure!
In this week's adventure vlog we hike/climb Pyramid Peak, a prominent Colorado 14er. This was a super fun adventure and ended up being one of my favorite hikes yet!
In case you have any questions about the hike itself I took a few mins at the end to answer your questions!
12:16- What does class 3, class 4, and class 5 mean when it comes to climbing mountains?
14:05- Do you need any special gear for Pyramid? What gear do you need?
15:18- What kind of shoes do you wear?
16:00- how much 14er/climbing experience do you need?
17:15- How long did it take you?
18:05- What's the exposure like?
18:58- How do you know/decide on how early you need to go?
20:40- Is pyramid a good beginner 14er? If not, what do you recommend?

The goat following you up was awesome. 🐐🏔😎👍
haha right?? Totally made the hike for me!
I believe you were also one of the channels mentioned in @Hiking with Gus' shout out video last week! Happy to be here and to be subbed to your channel! Looks like you guys have some awesome content, and Pyramid Peak looked amazing! We're yet to make it down to Colorado for any of the 14'ers, but I'll definitely be adding this one to the list.
Yay thank you! ❤️
Ok, having climbed class 5 climbs and a multitude of 4's in my younger years, you had my heart stopping in a few spots. Awesome views, goats were way cool. Congrats on the summit. Another great vid, thanks for sharing! FYI, Planning on summiting Mt. Baker next year, training start this month. ( cuz I'm old and fat) 😉
That's amazing!! ❤️
I'm from South Dakota but that hike looks chill af
So fun 🙌🏼
Stumbled upon your video. Great job! Very entertaining and brough back great memories. I climbed Pyramid a few years ago. Great mountain, so beautiful. We just did the Bells Traverse this past Labor Day. You strike me as being able to do that no problem. Would love to see that on your channel.
Aw thank you! And I actually did the bells traverse a few weeks after this video was filmed! I was just taking a break from making videos at the time because I was feeling a bit over whelmed with school and work. SUCH A FUN ADVENTURE!
I (Kelley) can jump on a 30" box jump but have major issues jumping over a creek or whole more than 12" lol I can do it if nothing there. It is a fear factor jumping over something knowing if I don't make it I can get hurt.
It's definitely intimidating!! You aren't alone there!! I think I may be more scared of the box jump actually haha Not sure I can actually jump very high!! I'd be scared of clipping my toes!!
Great video, super inspiring! What kind of camera did you use to record?
just my gopro or iphone! :)
Climbing looks dangerous! Be careful guys! And thank you for the another great vid, Arielle!
Thank you ☺️ such a fun climb!
What was the elevation gain on your hike?
Something funny I came across looking at Google earth is 2 14ers that are the same elevation both maroon peak and mt sneffels are 14,157 ft
Cool! :)
What vlogging camera and model do you use on you thru-hikes?
There’s a myth that goes with an Okinawa legend that says that goats are a good sign and will follow as an acquaintance to keep you safe however there’s no goats on Okinawa island and they aren’t sure how it truly started
So interesting!
If there are goats, you know you're on dangerous ground.
They are insane up there! It was crazy watching them maneuver around!!!
Goat wants your pee me thinks…
Haha me thinks you are right 😂 i learned about this thirst for human pee after he came running at me with my pants around my ankles 🤣
Yeah. No. 😂
