Look at how much total destruction was evident loons before F D finally showed up, despite the fact the smoke must have bee visible fo sseeveral miles! The roofs and sides of R V’s were down to near chassis by time F D showed up. Did they come from San Diego? I've seen quite a few people's homes(rv's) go up like this and it's said. Usually from a faulty heater or wiring that's old. They burn so fast that even if FD gets on scene within 2 mins the RV is gone

    never understood why our fire engines here in the uk dont have the deck guns on them but then again here we have the high pressure reels that take seconds to reel out and get water on the fire

    • @scotts7137
      @scotts7137 Před rokem +5

      I never understood why we don't have hose reels on our rigs here where you could get some water on a fire in seconds while the rest of the guys wait until the place is burned to the ground before they get water on it. If you watch enough US fire videos, you'll see time and again a small fire that could be attacked upon arrival if they were so equipped that could be greatly mitigated while the hoses get up and running. It's infuriating. That deck gun was a great help in this case.

    For those saying this is a good job, maybe for a volunteer department. This is one of the most professional FD's in the US and it took them just over 2 minutes to put water on the fire. It's amazing it didn't spread further. great filming as always.

      Bet you're a volley who gets their rocks off on any chance to dump on a career dept. Looks like they had pressure issues in the first few min. Also the response time alone for these type of calls blows volleys out of the water so there's that. They'd still be in their pickup with blue lights on pulling out of their driveway when these guys are pulling a line.

    • @CaptainRon13
      @CaptainRon13 Před rokem

      Nick you’re wrong. First line should have been placed between the RV’s and the structure. They should have used the tank water, saving time, while the supply line was established. Nice job by the engineer placing the deck gun in operation. And that comes from 33 years of experience.

      The Homeless have mismanaged their lives. The very first thing is to learn the "Responsibilities of Adult Living". Life is the Hardest most Painful thing that will ever happen to any of us. The best that we can hope for is to "Die in our sleep". The hardest part of life is being ridiculed for 50 years for working hard and being responsible only to have your success reduced to "You got Lucky". I'm not where I am because I got lucky. I'm where I'm at because I kept getting up no matter how shitty life was. Nobody cares if you're happy, only if you can meet your responsibilities.
