Suth is the No.1 killer of the diesel engine.
It is like microscopic sand in the engine.
Makes everything wear out much quicker.
So now you should be able to get about 1 Million miles to that engine.
    No joke.
I've been running veggie oil for 9 years and I get 10,000 between oil changes.

I agree with you - I deleted my '15 Denali LML with under 300 miles on the clock. I actually did a full delete - which looks so much better. One thing you should do if you care about the condition of your engine oil is get a Banana Pan for the motor. Made a HUGE difference. That's the main reason why the oil turns black on Duramax engines the instant you start it up after an oil change. Make sure you set aside a weekend to install the Banana Pan - it takes 24 hours for the pan to properly set. I also did the true bypass oil filtration system on my truck. My oil stays beautifully clean now.

My buddy deleted his and improved his average mpg from about 15mpg to about 20
18-20mpg and that's with a decent amount of towing. If you scrap your old pipes you can get $600-800 back, shed a bunch of excess weight, better ground clearance due to that dumb DEF box, no more purchasing DEF fluid (or running out and going into lymp mode!), sounds alot better and will add longevity to motor since it is running cleaner, so it's a win-win-win! I'm sold and I'll be doing mine next after a lift and wheel package!

I deleted my truck with 18,000 Miles, and currently have 95,000 with no issues at all. If you decide to keep cp4, protect your fuel with a lift pump. That pump will remove extra water and ensure fuel is clean. Cp4 handle so more pressure for your ejectors, any contaminate will cause failure. The power is unreal. Enjoy brother 👍🏾.

  • @mustangtech331
    @mustangtech331 Před 6 lety +19

I totally agree that removing the emissions is way better for the engine and longevity... something that anyone considering doing this to their diesel should keep in mind is what your state laws require.. getting popped by the DOT and failing an inspection in some states warrants an immediate tow/impound and they will only release it after the truck is set back to stock.. def not worth it in that case. Here in MA diesels didnt start getting emission tested until recently, forget the exact year but that leaves a lot of diesel options for people to delete/tune

I had my LBZ totally deleted and EFI live 5 tune. Stock, tow, Power, Street 1 and Street 2. It was an amazing improvement to an already solid motor. The Exhaust was 4" to 5" tip. I loved all the tunes but kept away from the 4 and 5 street tunes due to not adding a lift pump. That became the only negative I experienced...limp mode 3 times in tow tune pulling my 5th wheel on vacation. Once I added the Edge Monitor, it was great....just clear the code and go on.
I just purchased a GMC 2015 HD 3500 Dually as I want to move up in 5th wheel capacity and weight. I'm wondering about the LML Delete and Tune as the CP3 pump can destroy the whole injector system....I'm reading that more often. I did take the extended warranty as I'm getting too old to work on everything vehicle wise now so the full delete and tune are on hold.
Is the LML a great Duramax to tune?

I'm new to diesel world. I bought a 2013 chevy silverado 2500HD 6.6L LML Duramax with 144,000 miles on it. Truck is stock. I want to do a full open 4" exhaust from the V-clamp to tail pipe. So tuning for emissions. I had jumped the gun and bought the Superchips dash pag+ tuner, i have it plugged in and im only using it to monitorsystems and to check and clear check enginelights. Does Superchips have the emissions programing for a full exhaust delete? I do have the egr block plate on order, and I've got the 100gph Air Dog lift pump on my bench waiting for warmer weather this spring to install. I'm in Minnesota

I'm in cali right now doing a camping trip and my check engine light comes on po420 code. And keeps trying to clean filter I reset engine light and do the drive when it says to drive in 4th gear to clean it out above 2,000 rpm. Sure is annoying to deal with, my truck only has 80,000 miles. Im ready to delete after today 100%

Were you able to delete without getting a tune? I notice you have the AFE, Def Delete, and aftermarket pipe. Did it throw any SES or CELs or message on the DIC after you deleted it? I want to do mine too.

I just bought a 16 Silverado. Is there a particular delete kit and tune I should go with. My truck is getting ready to turn 100k. It is in excellent condition and all maintenance has been meticulous. The previous owner was very very anal about maintenance so everything was always done on time or just before. Anyway can you help me with a suggestion of what tune and delete kit I should go with I'm not looking for crazy horsepower I just want longevity out of my engine and efficiency

I am new to Diesel. I have a 2002 6.0 Chevy GAS with a ProCharger and 650+/-HP, I know LS engines. I got that truck too close to a telephone pole and now have a 2016 LML that needs help. I am having trouble adjusting to the power loss. My new truck is very nice 4X4 CrewCab dually rolling on 35’s. On a good day I get 15 mpg but then regen kicks in and I get 3mpg.
    Will delete help with power?
Not that I can but with a delete must I still use ULS fuel?

One thing that everybody seems to omit, even though it,s as real as it gets, is that diesel exhaust is extremely carcinogenic. DPF is a crappy system in itself no doubt, but it.s the only way we could come.up with to mitigate this danger. It.s not about pollution, it.s about cancer.

I deleted my '13 Denali at about 70,000 mi and had NOTHING but emissions codes being thrown up to that point. Now none. It's the best thing I could've ever done. It was costing more to get diagnostics from the dealer than deleting egr, def, and buying the programmer. So hell yes, no brainier... Right?!

I agree with you. but how do you get past emissions at renewal? I have the same truck and if you have onstar, whether you subscribe or not, they see your delete job. Plus, your truck has a Washington plate, didn't know there were palm trees in that state......lol

Juat bought a used 11 lml 3500hd. For work and towing camper every couple mo ths. Sold my 07 nbs 5.3 lh6 that i built up for this. Only thing i dont like is the exhaust notes. I miss my corvette sounding duals lol. A guy snatched it up 4 hours after posting and gave me 1k more than i was asking cuz i waited til friday and let him take it. He knew my truck by me driving around and knew i took care of it and put alot of time and money into it. A new diesel owner now. Finally. Just gotta find a way to make the exhaust sound better. I kinda haste the obnoxious wet fart sound coming out haha. I miss the crisp sharp lope of my lightly cammed 5.3. What would you recommend? When i do finally delete the diesel though. Im gonna keep all the parts in case i ever have to revert it back to stock. Keep the parts under my bunk in the camper. The old Silverado was around 200k miles and started to slightly overheat the trans and motor from the hours of hauling my 8k lb camper. It pulled it easily and barely noticed it behind me. But it was causing some minor problems using it conatantly from jobsite to jobsite. Put alot of highway miles on it.

Good video. You said you just used the EGR block off plate? Ever had any concern/issues with blowing out the tubing. Read some that say it adds increased pressure in the down tube that can cause failure. Got. 2015 I just picked up and trying to figure out best way to do full delete.
