I was a lifelong Ford guy. Needed to get an F450 during the pandemic. Our local Ford dealership in rural Georgia were awful. $98k on a 40k mile 2018 F450. The sticker was $75k. Wouldn’t negotiate. Not to mention, they acted like they were doing me a favor just talking to me. These guys have no problem taking advantage of their hardworking neighbors. I went RAM and won’t go back. Our community will remember though.

Is it possible to clone this sales guy? His product knowledge and ability to explain the functions of the drive system is world class!

What a refreshing change, a dealer that actually works with and for the customer. Just awesome!

The automaker shortage really brought out the shady dealerships and they were no longer trying to hide their greed & backstabbing. The good dealers will be apparent so you’ll know where to shop for the future

The salesman was knowledgeable and experienced. It looks like this is his career, not just a stop between other gigs as it is with so many other car salesmen.

2 points I picked up from this video. Don’t pay over MSRP for a vehicle; there are still honest dealerships who value your returning business over greed. Also, if you plan on keeping it then purchase the extended warranty. It will save you money in the long run.

I had the same issue when I bought my new 2022 2500HD. All the big dealers were shady as heck and wanted $5k-10k over MSRP. I went to Park Hill Chevy in Missouri. They are a small town dealership. They were honest, friendly, and fair with pricing. No fees and no hidden costs. Everyone should avoid shady dealerships regardless of brand.

Hi Stan! I encourage you to report that other place directly to Ford corporate. I've been hearing that corporate is doing what they can to stop this.

Hey Stan. I spent years in the auto industry. When a dealer advertises a low ball truck, they call it a 'loss leader'. It is usually a bare-bones version in an undesirable color and options package. They use it to generate contact and upsell the customer to a more expensive one that has the features that most customers are looking for. When the dealer refuses to sell that particular truck for the advertised price, that is false- advertising. If they try to switch you to a differed truck that they will sell you for that price, that's bait and switch.

Stan, I can't tell you how many times I've walked out of a dealership just because of an arrogant salesperson or a condescending attitude. A lot of times they call me back and I tell them why I won't spend my money at their dealership. I enjoy buying a new vehicle.

This salesman was great! When I purchased my 2015 Nissan Frontier, I fortunately had a similar experience. They had the vehicle I wanted- manual windows and door locks, two wheel drive. $25,990 (basically 26k). I'd originally been looking for a Toyota Tundra, but used Tundras were MORE than the new Nissan! So, after telling them what I wanted, and they had that exact model on the lot, I bought the Nissan. I've never regretted that.

I’ve had the 7.3 with the 10 speed for almost 2 years. Zero issues with shifting during towing. It’s just different than the 6 speed in the way it feels while accelerating. The RPM range is really small with the 10 speed so the engine never really revs up under normal loads. Personally I like it.

Nice truck and I'm glad you got a fair deal. I never understand why some car dealers play so many games, car sales are extremely profitable as it is and a smart dealer will NEVER let a serious, ready to go buyer walk out the door - that's literally like burning up cash! That guy Zach at V &H probably does very well in sales, he's on point.

Glad to see your great experience at a local small town dealership. That's what's great about Northern and Central WI. Most dealerships are honest and down to earth on their vehicles they're selling.

Another great video, Stan. Glad to see you buying another Ford! I have a 2010 F150 with the FX4 package, and it comes with all the towing bells and whistles. Pulls my 6800lb travel trailer like its not even there. That "pull-the-button" differential lock is a great feature that has saved my ass a couple times.
