What always separates all of these female Japanese rock bands from Western groups is the sheer joy with which they play.
There's just one western band I know that performs with the same joy as Japanese bands, and it is of course Iron Maiden. Hearing a band like Nemophila covering one of their songs feels like hearing a baton being passed on.
Nemophila is a powerhouse rock n roll band next level musician/artists, and Mayu amazing vocals.. thanks for the reaction, hope youll do more..
Well no, this is not Nemophila, this is Nemophila covering Iron Maiden very early on in their inception. The picture you chose is from their track “Dissension” - now THAT is Nemophila and they are something to behold. I think “Revive” is right up your street - very Nemophila too. Enjoy!

Their covers are excellent. Check out their Maximum The Hormone ones… Shimi is great and features a cameo by one of the drummer’s (Tamu) toddlers 🙂 She’s a mother of 2! Actually, she’s a great drummer and is one of the drivers of woman in drumming in Japan.
Obviously, their original tracks are amazing as well.

oh I hope you check out their originals..... Mayu (vocalist) is incredible at hard rock classic rock like this, but she's also totally amazing at metal screaming... and she's an AMAZING front woman also... her personality and visuals take over... and her voice... this is basically a supergroup of japanese rock stars on both guitars and drums... the drummer (Tamu) is one of the top session drummers in japan and it's amazing that she joined a band at all as the drummer considering her already huge success and she was a major name in japan. Woman with red guitar is also a huge huge name legend (Saki), and she brought in the other guitarist (I believe that was the order of events) Hazuki who's, incredible... extremely technical on guitar... the vocalist brought in her old friend on bass who's just fantastic as well... and voila... Nemophila.

Nemophila is wat is called in Japan "superband". Was formed by really good members of other bands. One of the guitar: Saki even have a this time their own band: Mary´s Blood.
They are really popular in Japan, they are great friends with bands like Gacharic Spin and are habitual in the anual concert "Naon no Yaon" produced by Show-Ya (the oldest all female metal band in Japan still active). Their covers are fun, some of them really, really fun
Try someday their cover of "Minion Song", it´s hillarious.
They cover "Aces High", too. Their original music is even better. Best band on the planet right now.

Why not critique some of their original music?
Ha ha you have no taste… There is no better Song than "the Trooper". Mayu Is struggling with the lyrics here, but the musical execution is beauty to that years. I've listened all their covers and all the other Bands that they've covered are inferior to Iron Maidden. There is a reason why their 2 covers of Iron Maiden, have millions more views and likes, that all of their other covers except Maximum the hormone, who Have about the same amount of views, but only because it's a Japanese audience
*There is also a reason why they play " ONLY" this track at all their international live gigs amongst their original material - they Love it! and they are most inspired by them- But I guess you know better than the Nemo group members. Don't you hey 🤣
