    I have a 2023 Accord Hybrid touring in black and I love it. It is literally the perfect car. It's super quiet, I'm going to the gas station only once a month, and I'm super happy with this car.

  • @valbanks1
    @valbanks1 Před rokem +4

    I suppose I'm in the minority but that's okay, it's been that way most of my life ... I absolutely LOVE the quiet, calm, refined look of the 2023 Accord Touring. The fact that it's extra quiet on the road is a bonus for me. It's probably the closest I'll ever be able to get to a luxury car since I can't afford a Maybach. Perhaps the electronics won't allow this 11th gen to last 15 years and 295,000 miles like my 2008 Accord, electronics apparently upgrade every year. At least smartphones do. Oh, well. Not a fan of that dark color. The urban gray metallic speaks my language. But the car itself - wow. I really like it.

    Honda engineers must've sh!t their pants when they saw the new Prius. Better looking, AWD, panoramic roof. This thing looks like they asked an AI to make the most average looking car possible.

    Kirk another great review & thanks for doing multiple reviews of the new '23 Accord; and all the cars I'm looking at incl. the S60 Recharge (great review too). Any chance the Sport-L you drive was a preproduction model? You mentioned it was missing some back seat features this touring has. When watching Raiti’s video it also looks like it was missing some features off the spec sheet it should’ve had (like at least rear chargers)

    • @pxpixels
      @pxpixels Před rokem +2

      Yeah there’s something going on with the spec sheets. If you look at the Honda website, it says the Sport L would get a lot of features that we’re not seeing in these videos, like the rear USB ports, LED turn signals on the side mirrors, and maybe even rear vents.

    This Accord Hybrid is still rated at several mpg's short overall, of the aging Camry LE Hybrid. So the Camry would get my money, and it also comes with simpler analog gauges, and a spare wheel - deal clinchers for a practical daily driver.

Just regular maintenance other than that repair. I did replace struts and shocks a 100K as I had a lot of mountain driving on a regular basis. My wife bought new a 2002 Accord EX V6. Had many repairs such as motor mounts and of course the expensive timing chain repair. There were hundreds of thousands of Taurus vehicles sold but one usually only hears about the bad ones.
