  • Well, it’s the final episode of this series, the final few parts get added to the box and a light touch of weathering is applied to the model.
Thank you for all your comments and support throughout this series. I will be back for a third series and if you want to suggest a build for that do so in the comments below or via my email in this description.

Another brilliant build, Paul. It looks fantastic and right at home in its place. As far as what to build next my personal view is it all starts with a station. Of course, you may be building section by section and neither station is in a section you're ready to tackle yet. Anyhow, one more tip of the cap! Cheers!

¡Hola buenas tardes Paul! A year into my rekindled railway modelling has only improved though inspiration gained from video content, on CZcams, such as yours. Techniques, in all aspects of scratch building, can only be honed by practice and, more practice. Even if only one item of detail is learnt, after watching each episode, I am so thankful to you and other modellers for providing the guidance. Sharing is so important and, I am certain other novice scratch-builders take heart from seeing a project develop episode by episode. As to your request for a future build project - a station building would be my submission. Take care and stay safe. Un saludo. Gary

Sorry but that is not what lead flashing does on a roof. There would not be lead down the ridge and hips like that. Look at real roofs and you will see that there are ridge tiles and hip tiles with no lead showing. Lead is only used where for example a wall or a roof abuts against a vertical surface such as another wall. Picky maybe but when you are going into this amount of detail it is best to get it right.
