WoW! So much damage! I hope you get all the food, water and supplies they need to get through this winter. Looks like it’s gonna be a long while to repair all the roadways. That’s so cool that you have the means to help! Hi 👋 Mr Bentley!
I've enjoyed driving Highway 8 so many times over the years, I remember every corner you flew over. The area was never meant to get rains like this. It's heartbreaking to see all of the damage that's been done. I hope everyone is okay, and accounted for. :'(
Please stay safe Bradley. You are doing such good work. Don't work yourself into a dangerous situation. My heart goes out to everyone up there, they have years of rebuilding ahead. Just getting a passable trail cut in there is going to take allot of time. It is breathtaking to see to amount damage that water is capable of.

@@dragthatsht , correct , kudos on your friend for helping and this footage , I regularly go through spences bridge to get my boy in 100mile, I have used that route on many occasions when there was slides on the #1 between Yale and Lytton before , I’ll get a job with a crew specifically to help this road get back on track ,, all these people from somewhere else commenting it will never get rebuilt ,, dont know what they are talking about ,, it will take time, but it’s doable , but I do fear it will be the 3rd to be fixed , although I know the crews who work the number 1 from Agassi to cache creek and hwy 8 are well versed in slides .As well as CN and CP, they deal with slides on a regular basis so ,hwy1 will be 100% before Christmas, coq will be mid spring early summer and 8 will be a year or 2, , they did the entire coquihalla in what 20 months?? ,,, I know I’m not lazy and work hard , so if there’s more of me still ,, its no problem., tell your hell bro to stay safe/clear sky’s ,, I’m a monster aviation fan lol
I build roads for a living. The only thing I can say here is, rebuilding this will be a collosal amount of work. There are no good options for re-routing, and no good sources of material. I wish I could be part of the rebuilding regardless.
man that is really bad, all those farmers and ranchers are in a really tough spot, I can't imagine there are resources to even start on 8 until 1/3/5 are totally fixed? I guess they will be calling road crews from anywhere in North America.
When the highway was built it had second pick of routing after the pre existing railway. The only good thing is now they can rebuild it on the best alignment. If they rebuild it. Going to miss these twisties and chill spots on the old KVR bridges.
Thank you for the footage. We stayed on the farm at czcams.com/video/SFZOcaOWYdY/video.html and I was hoping to see if the house survived. It looks like it did, but they're completely cut off. I hope Steve and crew are doing okay.
Spences Bridge is where the Nicola flows into the Thompson River - just a correction. The Thompson flows into the Fraser at Lytton. Thanks for the footage Brad!
Thanks for the footage Bradley. It's incredible what that water can do.

I'm from BC. What a total disaster. This will take years to fix, and will probably never be fixed if these weather events keep happening.
Thanks for this. I have friends with a ranch down there, their whole livelihood. Just devastating to see the damage. Such loss.
Best of days and safe flights to you !
That valley is really pretty, but wow that is alot of damage.
I don’t know how you even begin to fix those roads

Imagine if you had won that fancy camera setup for the chopper years back. Still great to see you up there giving us the best views possible. 🤙🍁

Just...wow
Thank you Brad!
It's a bit hard to grasp the extent of the devistation. It's like something out of a science fiction movie.
Hi there👋, Good morning how are you doing today? Hope you’re having a good start so far!!❤️

Yes. My mistake.

So when the water table and sea levels rise. Eb and flow .
that is scary. A huge waste of resources just swept away with water.
Why, the whole valley is nothing but awash in ancient glacial morains and eroded morains...
Was this just a flood or was there a damn burst?
flood
@@neicie64 thanks. I couldn't find an article that gave any details.
I am sure those places will nut be rebuilt for a long time.
