    The NFL schedule has a rotating formula. This year NFC North teams play all of the NFC West teams. They also play all of the AFC north teams. The rest are determine by where you place in the division. The Packers placed 2nd, so they play the other second-place teams in the NFC. That being Philadelphia and New Orleans. They also play the at large game in the AFC and this year the NFC North plays the NFC East. The Packers play Miami because Miami is the second place team from last year. You can know every team we play before the schedule even comes out. You just don’t know the dates.

      Thank God someone wrote this. I didn't have the energy to try and explain. Everyone knew which teams and where they were playing (i.e. strength of schedule) before the schedule came out. It's not magic.

      Agreed. How did anyone screw any team when there is no choosing who you play. Just a dumb take

      @user-go1pq7cv1d Před 15 dny +1

      Strength of schedule means nothing anyway. The difference between the Lions and Packers is their two games with each other. The Lions won a few more games than the Packers times two because they play each other twice.

    The Packers have the strength and talent and will benefit from top competition, forging them into a hardened team for the playoffs. If I were Gutekunst and Lafleur, I would welcome this as a chance to grow this young group up and get them ready to win titles.

    This schedule is gonna prepare this team for the playoffs, rather than having a handful of soft opponents that don't really test us. I'm not looking at it from the standpoint of "we got screwed!". We're gonna be battled tested by the time the playoffs roll around and that's only gonna help us get to the top of the mountain. We're loaded with young talent, we got a new defensive scheme and our offence is only gonna get better. I can't wait to see this pack of dawgs hunt!!! GO PACK GO

  • @raymondgoel4055
    @raymondgoel4055 Před 15 dny +4

    I understand your reasoning in the win loss results.. However, why I think the pack will do much better is because we now have a DC that is hungry and knows what to do.. This defense is gonna be explosive.. Combine that with the second year for this team that was starting to gel last season in my mind means this is gonna be a greatly improved team.. I realistically see us winning 13/14 games at least... I, also am super pumped for this season to start... GO PACK GO!!!!

    @user-lv8zu8ns1e Před 15 dny +3

    The schedule is predetermined... since January this year. The packers didn't get "screwed", they got their schedule based on a set schedule. Atlanta has the easiest schedule... because they play in a weak division with weak PREDETERMINED opponents.

  • @JameHealy
    @JameHealy Před 15 dny +2

    I don’t understand your point. The schedule is (for the most part) a formula. Their opponents have been known since the end of the season.

    I think we finish 12-5 at the least. We split with the Detroit Lions but beat the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings twice. I think we either beat the Philadelphia Eagles or San Francisco 49ers, I can’t envision us losing both games. When it comes to the AFC South I think we win 3 out of 4 games. The New Orleans Saints will be a toss up. I don’t think the Miami Dolphins will beat us because they seem to be a team that is built around fitness and not very physical. I think the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals will be solid wins and the Las Angeles Rams will be another toss up. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

  • @johnkrueger486

    You obviously do not understand how the schedule is set. The only difference between the Lions and Packers schedule is the Lions play play three first place teams from 2023 (Dallas, Tampa Bay, Buffalo - combined 2023 records of 32-19) and Green Bay plays three second place teams from 2023 (Philadelphia, New Orleans, Miami - combined 2023 records of 31-20). The Lions play three first place teams because the Lions were first in their division last year while Green Bay plays second place teams because they finished in second place in their division. Other than these games, all of the opponents are identical. The big difference in strength of schedule than becomes the Packers strength of schedule includes playing the Lions twice, who had a 2023 record of 12-5, while the Lions strength of schedule includes playing the Packers twice who had a 2023 record of 9-8.
    If you just calculated strength of schedule for the two 2024 Packer-Lion games. The Lions strength of schedule for these two games would be calculated to reflect playing a 9-8 team twice (strength of schedule would be 18 wins out of 34 games or .529) while the Packer strength of schedule for the two games would be calculated to reflect playing a 12-5 team twice (strength of schedule would be 24 wins out of 34 games or .706). Wow the NFL is really screwing the Packers in these two games. 🤣

    People saying, "you need to play the best" or whatever. Not well thought out. I'd rather cruise to the #1 seed on an easy schedule and THEN play the best. If we don't, another team will. When you get to the playoffs, doing it the hard way gives no brownie points.

      @zenydragon Před 15 dny

      @@SportsTalkWisconsin The point is, we don't know... Injuries, regression, bad luck; any of those teams that had .500 records or over, including us could take a step back. And conversely some of the bottom teams could have a surprisingly good season that was not expected when the schedule was made, like the Texans and the Packers did last year. We do not know who are the actual good teams and who are the bad teams until we get well into the season.

    Every team has a couple of " stinker " games THe 2023 record could have been 11 6: Counting those 2 stinker games Or close looses to LV and Denver Even the Steelers game OR it could have been 6 or 7:wins had they lost to some of the teams they beat I think 2024 has exceptional hype and much ,much higher expectations I think 10 and 7 and winning the Division is doable .But hoping 8 and 9 and missing playoffs WILL NOT be the downside of a very difficult schedule Time will tell
