The NFL Does NOT Like What The Green Bay Packers Are Doing...

  • The Green Bay Packers are a team that showed us so much promise last season and it seems like they have found their franchise QB in Jordan Love, they literally made the playoffs in a year where they were supposed to still be rebuilding, and it's been crazy to see how fast they got back to relevancy after losing a QB like Aaron Rodgers and to me it was funny to see them still beat up on Chicago, but this year the division definitely got even stronger and I wanna talk about what the packers did the the draft and in free agency to improve an already promising team.
In the first round the packers opted to go with someone to protect their franchise QB by going with offensive tackle jordan morgan. Morgan was first team all pac-12 conference in 2023 one year after suffering a torn acl the year prior. Morgan had a second round grade on him but it was a need for the packers after they finally departed with long term starting tackle David bahktiari after he missed much of the past few season with injury, the team drafted morgan to potentially be that guy who replaces him for many years to come. Onto the second round they went defense with both picks as they first went with 2023 first team ap all american edgerrin cooper. Cooper was a beast for a beast for texas A&M recording 84 tackles, 17 TFLs and 8.0 sacks in 2023. As for Bullard, who started for a few years for Georgia including a start in the national title game where he had 2 ints in that game in their blowout win over tcu. Both of these guys should be immediate starters and big impact players on the defensive side for the packers. In the third round the took another LB in missouris Ty”Ron Hopper but the more interesting pick was RB Marshawn Lloyd. Lloyd suffered from a few leg injuries but had his best season most recently when he averaged 7.1 yards per carry for 820 yards and 9 tds in 11 games. Lloyd will join a very good RB room which already featured AJ Dillon and of course the newly brought in Josh Jacobs.

It's cuz they were under the radar.. it's easier for a young upcoming team in sports to pull off upsets in the year they're having unexpected growth success.. The Texans had a similar season.. not to take anything away.. just saying.. the Lions are gonna be the team likely to come out of the NFC.. they are drastically better than they were since losing that NFC Championship game vs the 49ers which to most the Lions more so lost than the 49ers won it.. but it should be an interesting NFC this season.

Where was this defense when we had Rodgers? Rodgers did his fair share of costing us games. LOTS of examples of Rodgers trying to force a pass to a buddy that’s not open and ignoring another option that’s wide open. Why? Because he mostly wants to play for and with his friends. So if you’re Randall Cobb, you can stay in the league longer than you’d earn on your own because a prima donna QB wants to play with you. Now the Jets are dealing with Rodgers and his buddies and are going to overpay for underperformance. This year Rodgers will come back healthy- and the Jets will still struggle.
