I remember playing The Getaway and my dad being a Londoner would stand over my shoulder directing me around town and shouting out shortcuts that were actually there! Amazing!

When I played The Getaway, I turned a corner to escape a pursuit and got stuck in a traffic jam. They replicated London perfectly in that game.

Dude on the very last level I figured out if you are badly wounded just lean against any wall and you will recover your health.... That knowledge would have made the game much easier.

Bruno Silva totally totally agree mate, my all time fave system, mainly because it plays PS1 and PS2 games! Mine has the Matrix silicone chip mod to play all region PS1, PS2 games and DVDs!!! What a system. Teamed up with wireless remote- awww man magnificent

Me and my brother use to have the most intense battles on Guilty Gear x 2. I played Eddie, and he played Chip Zanif. Good times. Best fighting game in my opinion.

I love the ps2 metal jebus I still play mine every week because games now a days do not hold up it’s all about online and rarely story driven back in the ps2 days online wasn’t common yes we did have online games on the ps2 but most people didn’t have access to the internet we all had to depend on the story to keep us addicted

Found neo contra at my local thrift for 3 bucks a couple weeks ago!
This game is so great! It's usually pretty cheap, and you can play through the whole thing in an hour or two. So it's a great pickup for a quick, cheap action packed gaming session!
damn, how do you got to like that game?, its really frustrating for me, changed the whole 2d platforming to top down bullethell shooting where you can't see where the bullets are coming from, dodge buttons on the sticks that make it totally unpractical, weird bosses desing where some of them have different phases and others just don't, has the most weak and forgetable final boss from the series (even if its as hilarious as a colonel talking dog) and you can end it in half-hour or two, and therer is just normal, hard and time attack/speedrun modes, no replay value for me whatsoever. will pick up the other one on the system better

Also, I'm pretty sure all Katamari games are actually exclusive to one console. Beautiful Katamari was exclusive to 360, Katamari Forever was exclusive to PS3, etc.

Champions Of Norrath, and specifically its sequal Champions Return To Arms, are my favorite PS2 games, and you're right, the co-op is the best!

My favourite PS2 exclusive is hands-down Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, the sequel to the original Klonoa: Door to Phantomile on the PS1. It's a mid-length platformer, clocking in at between 4 and 6 hours if you don't go for 100% collectables and it has some really fun and emotional story moments, a very well balanced level of difficulty, and just amazing graphics every step of the way! :3
I played Both of them for the first time in 2022. Really great game
I went and picked up a few of these on eBay. I needed Xenosaga III to close out my Xenosaga collection but also picked up Mister Mosquito, The Getaway and it's sequel, Airblade, SSX, and The Mark of Kri. Thanks for jogging my memory on these great games!

Love a lot of these games. Xenosaga is one of my favorite RPG series. Also, Mark of Kri and Rise of Kasai are available with trophy support for the PS4 now.

Thank you so very much for mentioning the Xenosaga trilogy. First RPG series I ever played. I pray Namco re-releases it in HD. Then again, I wish they'd finish the series. For those that don't know, Xenosaga was originally a 6-part series.

There actually was a rumor recently that the Saga trilogy series might be getting an HD remake for current consoles. We will see BN is announcing some games December 15th.
I only recently went back to play them, but I'd buy and play them again on Switch. Especially since Xenoblade 2 is really heavily drawing from Xenosaga in design and feel. All the Xeno games are easily in my top 30 games of all time; Monolithsoft is just legendary.

Please do part 2. Sony should at least do something to resell them on PSN because the devs/publishers already closed or does not have the rights to them.
Honestly I came into the PS2 scene very late in the game, infact I was finally able to purchase one right after PS3 slim came out (sad I know), but since then it has been one of my favorite consoles and holds some of the most memories for me. To see games I have yet to play or even heard of is always fun to learn about so please keep doing your console exclusive videos, keep up the awesome content MJR!
It's not sad, tbh we have all been able to purchase a lot of the consoles that has been released very "late". I have been purchasing and selling PS2 for over 5 years now and only right now I can say, I get to finally keep the console and start my so dreamed collection !! So, don't worry. Not everybody has the money to be switching up to new version every 2 years in a row! Welcome to the club 🙏🏽✨✨✨

For PS2 Exclusivity, I would have to go with Gradius V and R-Type Final. These games look like they were in the arcade straight-up. I love schmups all over the place, but always go back to these, like Axelay and UN Squadron for the SNES. Great video!!!

Yep but whenever possible I always grab the game on o.g. xbox.480i doesnt hold up so well on modern screens.
SSX hands down the best..still play it to this day.
The first SSX is a little rough, being the first game in the series...but those tracks are still fun to play!

SSX was a launch title over here in Blighty and what a launch title. I was torn between that and Timesplitters on release day (I did pre order) plucked for SSX but TS is great as well. Still play both.

The soundtrack to Gungrave was also by the composer for Triguns soundtrack. Tsuneo Imahori.
The creator/character designer, and composer also worked together on the Gungrave anime, which is one of my favorites of all time. Such an intensely character driven story amidst all the weird cyber-necromancy and gunplay.

Sam S.I. It was an accident, but he put the blame on the HDMI output thing he was using and gave bad reputation for the guy who makes them, with a clickbaity title warning that it was the culprit. MJR lost my respect right then, even though of course he has great content and a nice and fun crew.

MetalJesusRocks that game had a sequel that was pretty mediocre in my opinion. The story was interesting but the overall gameplay wasn't as good as the first game.
I haven't played game yet but love the anime, it's kinda underrated as well

Indeed. Nowadays we are living the crap out of the nickel and diming generation, where all the video game industry cares about is empty dry the customer's pockets and not getting their good will.
Frig me I remember Airblade. On the demo disc that the PS2 came with, there was an Airblade level on there and I played it to death. I would LOVE a part 2 and even a 3 if there are really that many games. Your lists jog my memory of the games I used to have when I was younger but ended up selling on.
I decided to start collecting a couple years ago. I'm racking up quite a stash from PS1 all the way to the PS4. A couple hundred games across 6 consoles. A bunch of them are from your hidden gems and exclusives lists.
I'm still trying to recall which Dynasty Warriors games were the best in the series seeing as theres so many now.

Jesus Perez they just added the rest of the mainline jak games and Jax x, but yeah it really need better support. My guess is it probably takes more work, then typically emulated ports, since they have to add trophies

Plus at the end he mentions that some of the games that were talked about are on the PS4 as a digital download.
