So I heard you mention in passing that no one wants to watch you get everything cleaned up. Call me crazy but I would watch it. As a full time truck mechanic I find that cleaning parts scraping gaskets and what not on most jobs accounts for the most time. It’s also something that can cause damage to certain things if not done correctly with the correct tools. I’d love to see how you go about getting an engine cleaned and prepped what tools you find effective and so forth. Thanks again for everything

Man just saving these people so much money on parts would make me want to have you as my mechanic. I think your daughter chose wisely getting into the veterinary field as in this part of the country they make more money than most of the people doctors do as for example they do not need malpractice insurance to take care of Fluffy and Fido.

G'day Warren, the top linner filler band should be wet with engine oil just before you push the liner home it will swell and lock the liner in, its purpose is to dampen vibration. I used to use short bolts with a copper washer under a steel washer to clamp the liners down and stop the filler band pushing them out. Liquid soap is the the go on the lower seals for lube at least on the 3300 engines👍
I watched your videos from 7 years ago this week , I remembered you where rebuilding a Perkins 4 cilinder a while ago. I bought a 1004 AC in pieces and your old videos are a fantastic help with it.
Of course you prioritize your children’s education and being there for them is the most important part of parenting. My father was a heavy duty mechanic and always put the ring compressor on before setting the piston in the sleave. Would then make required adjustments to ensure proper insertion.

hi Warren my hats off to you I was a truck and heavy equipment mechanic back in the day I started as a helper in the late sixties and buy the late 70s I made master I was making $15.00 a hour I had two kids my wife stayed home and took care of the house and kids and had dinner on the table every nite had a 3 bedroom house took vacations bought a new truck every three years all on $15.00 a hr those were the days when truck drivers were men they didn't wear flip flops and dresses can someone tell me what happened to this country

I know if I remember correctly you said you did diesel work in the navy, compared to back in the 80s and 90s is there more small guys with a lot of work or big guys with a lot of work? What’s the average size farm around you?
Who makes the light? Do a review after you have used and charged it awhile! Like the way the light swivels over from its base! Have some that just have a little base plate that swivels, but not at 90 degrees like they do!

Warren, this might be a silly question but, on those "O"-rings, would it be better to fill the ring slots from top to bottom? I mean, first o ring goes in first slot it falls into, 2nd will just "slide" or roll over the slot. Would this be wise to do or no? I'm thinking it would because, less chance of the o rings to get a snag or tear in them during install. Hahaha, yea, amazing how certain things can get within a day or two while other things... take bloody f'in forever. My step son graduated vet school a couple of years back. Started his own clinic, makes half a million $ a year!!
