    My buddy started drag racing the family Chevy Caprice in 1969 at 14 years old. He built his own engines and after getting a bachelor degree opened a engine shop. I'd stop after work and clean the shop and tear down. He knew everything about engines and was the go to guy for all performance engines. Your son has a bright future.

    Wow seeing the Ford tractor in that just-painted condition goes to show how long ago this Cat engine project got started - back in the beginning of fridgid winter! Thankfully, it's now getting to be beautiful summer, sun-shining every day - I love it!🌞 I like the red overspray marking it's territory in the garage there too.😅 Thanks for taking us along Tyler! Can't wait to see it back in its comfy home & the 'will it start' video!🤔 Your son is a lucky boy, gonna be growing up alongside you starting to get greasy & dirty while still in diapers 👍🏻 Keep up the great work man! 👌🏻🛠️🔧🔩⛓️🚜🏗️🛢️

    The water makes tiny air bubbles and they stick to the sleeve and when they pop they start eating away at the liners and you will actually get oil in the water cause the piston coming up on competition stroke and the small amount of oil that fills the hole gets pushed threw in too the cooling system I had a Detroit 60 18 wheeler do it to me years ago

    You wrecked the rear seal the instant you took it apart and just went down hill from there.
    You need the cat tool to install both pieces at the same time to a specific depth. Read the book...
    Also your gonna have fun taking it off... those seal go on DRY

    • @dieseJL
      @dieseJL  Před 3 měsíci

      Yeah good to know... I will review the manual and maybe try again. I ended up going with a rubber lip seal, watch the next video and see if you think I got it right or not haha. If not I will get the tool and try again before I throw it in the machine. Thanks!!

    I'm thinking the engine with no bearings in the last piston hole might have been ok had you not started it. Like crawling underneath and removing the oil pan and looking at this bearing. One would have had to have been told about this however.

      3M silicone grease. Can usually find it at parts stores. It is my o-ring lubricant, dielectric grease, & brake grease. Hands down the best brake grease I have ever used.
