Ethan Coronado .......that are charged by electricity, even if he buys them from store (I doubt it because he uses a LOT of batteries) he would either have to buy new ones (a lot of money) or recharges them (increases electricity bill). I don’t really know what he does but I would guess he recharges them.

A suggestion
Make the protosaber such that it would fit inside the tilt like a naval telescope does, so you could heat the rod while it is inside and make a mechanism so that it would come outside on the push of a button, and since it is already heated, the rod would come out being red hot, that way you practically have a real lightsaber that you can carry in your pocket
Can’t believe @Hacksmith and the team did this. This is absolutely insane! Good luck on the journey to becoming a real-life stark industries

Idea I had after watching this and some furniture videos, there was a couple different collapsible table and other such things that enabled the tabletop to extend beyond what the original form suggested. I am not 100% on how theu did it, but I do remember the person in the video mentioning that the wood or whatever it was being made in a structure that let it collapse in on itself but retain its stability. Looking at that and now this, perhaps if the two could merge we would actually have a lightsaber with a blade that collapsed.

Honestly, this one's my favourite, simply because it's rigid. You should just use this design but make the stick retractable

Well, if he lined the tube with some materials, the ones that burn in a star to bake it blue, then he could make a blue lightsaber. Or even a yellow, white or black lightsaber. This tech could even help us understand plasma and stars if we could get it to glow white, black or brown. And if he could make it green, we would have to rethink physics.

You could try and rig the saber so that when you press the ignition the metal blade shoots up
And if you need the plasma to start faster you could put a turbine in the bottom so that it will need a smaller battery

For some reason, I doubt it's effectiveness as anything but an intimidation ploy... Then again, you could see the styrofoam head actually bent the hot blade so, you could prob use it as a flail. Like that Russian iron man villian. I couldn't imagine having to counter a nearly molten metal whip without horrific burns / electrocution being a very real possibility.
