Because it's got the highest melting point of any metal - no mold could hold it!

Funny enough, in Norse mythology Mjölnir doesn't have a "Only the worthy can wield the hammer and have thor's power" magic lock. It's just heavy, like really heavy. Heavy enough to reduce Mt Everest into a crater with just one strike. Norse mythology Thor was just that op.

An interesting thing is that in norse mythology, even Thor can't weild Mjölnir, so he has special gloves and a belt that gives him the ability to weild Mjölnir.
So the Hacksmith Mjölnir is actually getting closer to the real original Mjölnir.
Actually Thor in Norse mythology can lift Mjolnir, but the issue is that he cant wield it as a weapon, the gloves serve as a means so he can both easily lift and wield, and the belt serves to amplify his power and strength to an almost berserker like level.

Being someone who works part time in a machine shop I'm very curious how the horizontal band saw managed to eventually cut the tungsten since the only band saw blades I've come across are made out of hardened steel and couldn't possibly scratch tungsten
It's pure tungsten, which is softer than tungsten carbide and similar in hardness to hardened tool steel.

I think what makes Thor’s hammer unique isn’t it’s weight anyone is worthy but it’s design and construction that is the lesson in craftsmanship we learn from the realm of asgard.
I found a guy that makes replicas of mjolnir out of whatever metal or non metal material. I asked him to make me a tungsten mjolnir, haven't heard from him since.

@@cameronknowles6267 Most people don't have access to something that can heat a metal up to that point. Best I can figure is King of Randoms Arc welding furnace in an argon gas chamber (to prevent oxidation tungsten oxidizes very quickly when it melts) scaled up slightly and then pouring it directly into a ceramic mold of the hammer. You could scale it down to put the steel around it or just make the whole thing out of tungsten.
This would be expensive, difficult, and i'm not sure how well tungsten will work when you're pouring it in layers like that because it would be extremely difficult to do all at once without industrial equipment designed for it.

Great video, I have a suggestion on how to make the hammer a bit more balanced so it wieldable and that’s to make a heavier handle so the weight is distributed evenly while swinging.

Tungsten Carbide could be used. It's less expensive than pure Tungsten. Some scrap carbide from end mills would work. Carbides density is about 15,63 g/cm^3 depending on the type.

If my calculations are correct searching how heavy osmium(heaviest metal) is to tungsten shows it's 14.9514286% heavier than tungsten and doing shits i concluded that a full osmium replica of thors hammer is 131.5044343184 pounds heavy.
