A more dangerous and cheaper version would be a steel rod covered in lighter fluid. You could spritz burning lighter fluid on your opponent, refuel with a splash from a pouch that would probably last longer than a battery, and have the whole thing cost less than 30 dollars. You could also heat it with a blowtorch, which could also be very cheap, costing less than 20 for the ignition and 3 for propane. The temperature of both would be around 3600 F, or 2000 C.

Came back to this a year after it released and it’s still funny. This certainly got me back into wanting to do lightsaber duels and i now finally have a friend to do it with! We are choreographing it now and will perform it at some point. Here’s to hoping someone records it so I can post it here on CZcams
